Nice choice here! I love my Moonwatch but sometimes I really long for a date on it. Plus, you don’t have to remember to wind yours. Speedmasters have a place in every collection, I think. Well, there are a lot to choose from.
I have the same 36mm oyster, great choice on the black dial. I'm actually considering adding a speedmaster to the collection as well (funny that I found this video and you have the same OP + the speedy i've been looking at) - I'm however a bit torn between this and the 40mm size. I know the OP sits more like a 38mm , so the bump to 40mm in speedmaster size might not be too big of a difference? What to you think? What made you choose the 38 over the 40mm speedmaster racing?
I just think the 38mm Speedmaster is a better fit for my wrist in particular. I have 6.5mm wrists and It already takes up most of my wristspace. I started by looking at the Speedmaster Reduced because I liked that size. It was pretty popular in Japan, and they tend to have small wrists too. But I didn’t want to get a used model, then I stumbled on this new model which is the same size as the Reduced. It is also thicker than the OP or Datejust so that also makes it wear larger than those. It actually wears similar to my 40mm Yachtmaster because the slimness of the YM makes it wear smaller. The bracelet on the Speedmaster makes it lighter than an Oyster bracelet. A lot of factors, but I would say the Speedmaster wears like 39mm, and my OP like a 38mm. I never really looked at a 40mm Speedmaster because I was afraid it would be too big, and it is fairly thick too. I just never had a chance to try one on in person. But if you prefer large watches, it might be good for you.
I actually had a Seamaster Mid-Size Automatic, way back in the late 90’s with the blue wave dial. Didn’t like the bracelet much, started wearing it less, and I ended up selling it after I got the DateJust and Submariner Date. Now I’m starting to look back at the Seamaster again. The 42mm looks way too big for me, but the mid-size is only 36.25mm and that might be too small. Wish they made it in 39mm.
@@sc1 you and I have the same taste. I bought the new Seamaster with the black rubber wrist band but I had the dealer include the steel bracelet. I didn't like the steel band very much.
I actually parted with it, and I now have the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, which I like very much. I wasn’t quite satisfied with the bracelet on the Speedmaster 38 (butterfly clasp and very little tapering) and I now prefer the larger size of the Moonwatch (even though I have a small wrist) But I preferred the automatic movement of the 38 co-axial. (Moonwatch needs winding)
Hi there, I am planning to buy the Omega Speed master Co-Axial chronograph 38mm & all I wanted to know is does the watch needs winding every day ? Even after me wearing it every single day ? Appreciate ur reply please thanks
Hello all, Can someone please help me with this please “ Well, I am planning to buy this watch “ black sub dial - 38 mm “ is it wroth it ? I heard few negative reviews about it & I am not sure how and what to do. This will be my first watch so please let me know about this watch. Thanks
@@sc1 Many thanks for ur reply sir 🙏 highly appreciate it. How about it’s accuracy & caliber 3330 ? Is it alright? Is there anything I need to be aware of it after few years ??? Please share
Absolutely love Speedmaster and this fits my small wrist too
Love it, great looking watch...! I'm thinking about the gray face with the leather band, really beautiful watch...

Thanks, sometimes I wish for a Moonwatch, but I prefer automatic movements and the 38mm size suits my wrist much better.
Bracelet is clearly tapered, just not a lot

Check out the 3861 Speedmaster… much more friendly to smaller wrists compared to the previous version and the bracelet is great.
I ended up doing just that! I posted a video on my 3861 purchase. You're right, the bracelet and clasp, are a much better match for my small wrist.
I'm surprised you don't have the Seamaster. Great watch.

Wish it was thinner
hello! any chance you could tell us where you got the strap? i think the color works great with the black dial.
Yes, it’s from the Theo and Harris website. Good experience ordering strap from there. It does have small branding logo on the back
WOW ! 😱😱😱 elle est magnifique cette Speed !!! on dirait une REDUCED 😯
Merci!
Thanks for your good review. Do you still own the Speedmaster? And if so, what’s your experience with it two years after?

What accessories does the watch come with?
What is the full length of band and watch?
Thanks for the vid. Do you mind me asking what is your wrist size?
I'm about 6.5 inches
@@sc1 your response is open to misinterpretation :-)
Nice honest review. Cool watch.
Thanks! 👍
Where did you get that leather strap? Do you have a link?

No, this one is automatic. So you don't need to wind it unless you stop wearing it for about 2 days.

Way to top heavy and tall
it is a little top heavy, but the overall size with the smaller diameter is fine for me.
What's the lug to lug?
40mm.
44.9

Great watch ! please dear sir what is the bracelet size in mm ? Cheers
18 mm I believe
@@sc1 thanks !
It's tapered... from 18mm to 16mm...
The bracelet is the worst part of this watch... i don't like butterfly clasp.
A little more enthusiasm please
Sorry for making you watch and buy my free video. Always trying to do better.
@@sc1 I think I am going to steal this reply for my video comments :) Thanks for the video!
