I hate that natives have to say we are still here. I know you are. I see you! You are welcome here! I don't know you, but I love your culture and history and music! Especially the dances and songs! And the vibrant colors! You are not forgotten, I assure you and you never will be!
I'm 63% percent Native. Full status but I take myself as fully Native. Always been affected by the trauma and I deal with low self-esteem because of it. I'm never going to strike my children or break their spirit. Glad we are building our ways and bringing the teachings back.
I wish this was the full vid. Watched it live on FB and the concert was amazing. I want to show my kids! We want to see them in Edmonton this summer. Thanks for the tunes CBC.
It was pretty friggin awesome! They have the full stream on this channel. A Tribe Called Red come out about 5hrs50 minutes in :) Here's the link if you wanna check it out: ua-cam.com/video/-q_-PaWBT5w/v-deo.htmlh59m Cheers!
I really wish I could see this live. I'm not native but support and love native culture. I wish I had the connection that natives have with their culture with their past with my own culture. Like now I'm wondering if maybe there is a way for them to come down here to my little town in the states. I work for a casino run by natives that put on a powow every year. Normally it's about 2-3 days long so this could be a special ending special for the powow and everyone that goes.
I find it sad to see people that killed native american dancing on their music without having any respect for all the people that their ancestors kills. Such an irony 😢
I may not be native but I love native music and culture
I don’t know why but this gives me goose bumps
Its an emotional connection felt by the music. Not every one experiences that. Yer lucky. It's my favorite effect of music
Native Pride! We are still here.
