Thank you for the Honest review. We like to hear what anglers think, and the reels that are paired with the rods. Happy you explained the warranty. Can't wait to see a video with some hook ups!
Appreciate you passing on your insights from St. Croix direct and explaining all the acronyms with the technologies. I like how you compare all the various companies. Thanks Gramps!
That hat is 🔥 Gramps! Grew up using poles from garage sales and flea markets. Thank you for posting videos like this because I'd like to upgrade my Ugly Stik someday. God bless all and stay safe out there.
Thanks for the pre-view. Hopefully they’ll work well for you. Perhaps they’ll extend there offering in the Victory line. Have a couple Avid X spinning rods. The two piece 7’ ML I have paired with a Tatula LT3000. Yep stays in my car all fishing season! Only issue is the AvidX has micro guides, but my connection knot holds up!
Definitely wanna pick one of these up but my chatterbait rod is the daiwa tatula the $150 one 7'1" med and man it is awesome the I picked the dropshot spinning rod this yr and so far I love it for a lot of different things
Sup gramps. Out of my range lol. I have rods got about 38yrs ago for $10 combos, and friends still use theirs, paid $179 for shimano spinning combo 4yrs ago. . Rod broke 2nd or 3rd time fishing lol. Wish best, get PB on one👍
Great video! Just bought the 6'10 Lite Weight Victory. So excited to try it out!! Do you think it could be good for weightless wacky worm? Do you like it as much as your Dobyns Kaden?
I didn't keep them long. Had them paired with Daiwa reels and just seemed tip heavy to me. I actually prefer and kept the Kaden's over the Victory rods.
So. Bragging about it hitting 80 today? May hit 70 tomorrow… storms. Go figure. Was out learning archery. :):) Haven’t tried St Croix yet. Yet. Will look forward to your review.
@@FishinwithGRAMPS since hubby doesn’t fish…. Gotta spend time with him somehow lol. And no…I’m not like Bill Engvall’s wife.. You’re gonna shoot him??!! Run Deer Run!!! Deer are tasty!
@@dustinnorman2658 I would hit up the American Legacy FIshing & Outdoor Community Facebook group. There are folks there FAR more experienced in the higher end stuff that could answer your questions far better than I.
Didn't balance well for me with the Daiwa Zillion, seemed awful tip heavy more my liking. One of those counter-weights you can add to the butt may have corrected my issue with it, but I just moved on to the next rod to try. Other than that, solid rod with good hook up ratio.
I'm waiting on st. Croix to drop the 7'3" legend xtreme. I tt then the other day and they said they wont have them back in stock till july... ughhhh.. they're killin me lol
I am not sure what are are sorry for, I am well aware that there are other rods Made in the USA. I am merely highlighting that fact with the two Victory rods I am testing against the rest of the rods I am testing

Super job of explaining the details. I'm getting old in years but always learning. Love it! Thanks Gramps.

I actually don't like it, will be going a different direction

They are the greatest rods on earth
I have Mojo Bass spinning rod fast fast action and a Victory Full contact bait caster these two all I need for the type of fishing I do

How did the medium light work out for you?
I didn't care for the Victory rods, kind of tip heavy.
@@FishinwithGRAMPS thanks for the reply. Do you have any recommendations for an all around finesse rod, mostly ned rig and drop shot rod?
@@dustinnorman2658 I am currently testing the Shimano Zodias medium light and love it so far, but need some more time with it.
Thanks for the tip, I do like those and the exprides. What length and power/action would you recommend for drop shots and ned rigs?

Hey Gramps, great video. Any thoughts on the Victory Rip N Chatter yet (Feel, weight, comfort etc) I just picked one up. Thanks

Got the rip n chatter with the zillion it feels great in the hand but no fish yet🤣
Threw it a bunch today, just too cold for moving baits
Yeah I threw it yesterday a lot at patoka but nothing going on
Im sorry but G Loomis, Cashions, Bull Bay, Blackfin, Lamiglas high end, Falcon high end, are all made in USA.
