Awesome. Used mine again yesterday at a golf club gig. Been loving them. Hope you have a similar experience. Thanks for supporting the affiliate links. :):)
Great video Frank. I've had this wireless unit for a few years now, and I love it. I use the case it came with as the carrying case. It's a little bulky, but it protects them from getting damaged.
This is a great system. Like you though, I was saddened by the lack of a case. I ended up returning them and got the NUX C-5RC 5.8GHz Wireless Guitar System. Hard Shell case, and the units plug into the case, which has a built-in battery, so they top off between gigs!! Almost a year and a half in...ZERO issues! Loving your channel amigo!!
I have like 2 cheaper ones, and I have a wireless boss pedal that I use on my acoustic pedalboard I’ve been using it for over a year now and I absolutely love it. My pedalboard plugs into the house via an instrument cable and my guitar connects to my board via the boss I hate feeling like I’m tethered to something. The cheap ones I use around the house and the cheaper ones that were like 200 bucks or so I use as a backup as well as I have a bunch of cables as well I’d like to pick up a wireless set for my mic now. My pedalboard doesn’t really have much I’ve just got a pre amp/ direct box, a Peterson tuner, the boss wireless pedal, and a cloud lifter although I’ve never had to use it so far.
Great info thanks so much. I’m definitely loving the freedom of the wireless. And like you my setup is very basic as well. Though I’m thinking of adding a fishman reverb pedal.
Hi Frank. I’ve been using these for performance for years. Not doing much walking around on stage, but it’s great to not have a tripping hazard. My only suggestion besides charging every night when you get home from playing is - ALWAYS have a couple of different length guitar cables with you for backup. If they die during a job, you need to be able to recover pronto.
Good timing on this vid - as I am very close to going wireless, particularly form acoustic duo work, as I like to once in awhile walk out around the front of the mains to hear everything,, engage a bit with the audience etc. Plus playing at a market the other day my guitar cables get dusty on the ground etc., I sometimes have 2 acoustic guitars with me thought so I should see about having two transmitters and one receiver (if that exists). Glad they work well for you - I was researching brands awhile back and tough to decide what to get. I will just lunge forward and get something soon to try out before my next gig .
@@FrankPersico Quick update - I bought two xvive transmitters and played a couple gigs this week wireless. Loved it. Last night was able to walk around while my partner played and listen to the guitar balance etc., and sound of the room. Also so nice to go on the dance floor on a closing song without navigating a long guitar cable. Just made gigging a bit more fun - If that was possible :) Next weekend will try them with a full band. :) Your site is real Frank - keep up the good work.
@@stillwateracoustic thats great to hear. i've used it similarly. in fact just yesterday i had a gig where there were speeches that had to be made. was nice to just unhook the mic and hand it to someone lol
Cool video today. 👍🏻 My limited experience with wireless. It has been good with passive pickups but had trouble with clean reliable sound with active pick ups both bass and guitar. Maybe this brand is something for us to look at. With that said I had a newer Fender cable give me trouble that I didn’t find immediately. So cables can be an issue. Looking forward to seeing your real world gig experiences with wireless. So far looking and sounding good.
Thanks for commenting. So far I’ve been loving it. It’s been with me every gig since It was sent to me. Zero problems. Time will tell I suppose .. thanks for the comment
Great Video. It's definitely a good advantage because even at the breaking point of 37 ft, I don't think a lot of people are using a 50 ft cable. Most of these devices, would benefit from having a hard cover case. My H4 handy recorded didn't come with one and I had to purchase one separately.
Yeah true. I will say that they do charge up pretty fast. Last week I forgot to top them off and was able to get them up to full charge by plugging them in on the car ride
Wireless is great, helps keep the stage look clean…I’ll consider these for my ‘travel’ acoustic guitar (Klos carbon fiber acoustic) Thanks for the video!
I use the Lekato 5.8 ghz knockoffs of these (about 1/2the $) and I love 'em. The only time I had a problem with dropping out was when a restaurant put me in a spot where their wireless pager router was at the same level as my floor units and about three feet away. That's one time out of well over a hundred gigs since I've had them. I hate chords. Especially attached to my guitar, I feel like an astronaut on a tether during a space walk. (I always bring cables with me as backups, of course, and had to use them in the example I gave above ).😁 I should add that I also use the Lekato 5.8 microphone wireless system with my SM58 and like that too.
I have set of these. They worked fine for about a year. Now with the constant interference and noise they make they aren’t even unusable and are now out of warranty. I did enjoy the wireless feature while it lasted.
I have seen another vid of a strat player who used a very short cable to to connect the transmitter and velcro'd the device to his guitar strap. Strats have that odd placement of the output jack
I have tried the exact same system (I have 2 pairs) with my D35 with LR Baggs Anthem, a Taylor with their E2 pick up and even a Collings with a K&K pure mini (passive pick up), and have had no success. I get weird artifacts, drop out and distorted sound. Not sure whether it’s WiFi, Bluetooth or other interference issues, but I can’t get them to work with my acoustic rigs. I’ve tried them in various locations. They work fine with my Telecaster and Strat, but I only gig with acoustics, so they don’t really work for me…. Too bad, as I’d love that freedom onstage. Anyhow, enjoy your content, Frank!
Hi frank I have wireless microphone and guitar wireless both really helps saves all the wires and you can walk around the stage wt out any worries love the vids
Hi frank the only thing I would say about the wireless mic is remember to turn the mic off when you’re talking to one of the people in the venue ha ha hai. I’ve been using my guitar and microphone wireless for years my problem is talking to my keyboard player in between songs ha ha ha

I’ve got a set of knock offs as well as the Shure system but generally for playing electric. Doing a lot of acoustic sets now so maybe will give it a whirl with that. Peace from Tx.
Okay, I just ordered a set through your link.....we'll give them a try.

Awesome review man. Thank you so much. I'm loving your tutorials and videos. Appreciate it.

That is a great idea, I will have to try that. I think I still have the box

I use these for my setup. I love it. Especially being able to move around on stage. Glad you found something that works for you too. 👍
Thanks! Been loving it so far
Niceee! Finally some sponsorship/product opportunities. Congrats!
Tell them to make a Charging Carry Case, like your Bluetooth Airpods/Earbuds

lol good point. Didn’t occur to me my cable is probably o my 12 or so feet anyway.
I have a set of these-- they definitely do the job quite well. The big thing about them is to remember to charge them, or you're back to a cable.
Yeah true. I will say that they do charge up pretty fast. Last week I forgot to top them off and was able to get them up to full charge by plugging them in on the car ride
I've been contemplating them just for shooting videos on my channel to neaten up cables, and also moving around to adjust things and not trip 🤙

Good choice! 👍
@14:57 Dude, who's the person hiding in the closet behind you? By the way, great demo, I ended up getting one of these systems.
Ahhaha I think it’s Don Henley! Lol good luck with the wireless unit!

Great video! Did you turn them off between sets or just let them go? (since it is a 5 hour battery life)
Hi and thanks. I turned them off between sets …

Oh wow interesting idea. Thanks for sharing
@@FrankPersico might be good feedback to Xvive to offer a kit for strat players. Otherwise you need to cobble one together yourself.
