@FreeEngland1 “One or two times” it was the majority of the videos for a period, and I don’t mean just during lockdown. Lee’s ipad was shown more than the shop for a while there.
I love how you're introducing a pedal board challenge, standing right in front of a sign advertising your store's "Pedalboard Bundles". If I was there, I probably would have just used one of those!! Seriously though, you should add both these rigs to the set of pedalboard bundles you sell in store.
Good to see a healthy dose of ToneCity pedals in there! The Golden Plexi is immense! I have the two channel version and its beyond amazing! That Behringer Fuzz that was NOT used, is absolutely the best value for money pedal EVER!
The simplest solution is to buy the latest Positive Grid, now available for pre-order. It sounds better than any amp, has all the effects built-in, an intuitive app, and more. I don’t understand why some people love old or vintage gear. I would have been so happy to have the Spark 2 when I started playing guitar at 17. This is the best time to play guitar. it’s cheaper and better than any pedalboard or tube amp.
Wow, this video takes me back... What a great throwback style video. I still remember when I was like 13 and I watched the budget pedalboard video about a dozen times (all the while wishing I could afford even that gear). Great tones too.
I just bought a Super Rodent and if 90s guitar is your thing.. wooo boy it is a good time. I get to be discount Jerry Cantrell in my living room. I own a bunch of cheap pedals and they're all great, but the Keeley stuff is definitely another level. Their Moon Fuzz pedal is just a thing of beauty.
The Zeus Cream Glove actual sound like a very good concept, and it made my day! 😂 But the Plexi Crunch crashed that party immediately. At least with humbuckers and a Katana.
Sweet Honey Overdrive(Sweet Cream) into a OCD(Glove) has been my primary sound for many years now. The OCD darkens up as you turn the gain up but using the SHOD as a semi-clean boost really opens it back up. Its like a Lion's roar.
I never played either amps, but that Hiwatt definitely kicks the Boss's ass imo. Kind of a shame, I feel they should have done this challenge on the same amp.
I bought a Behringer Super Fuzz after the Doom Fuzz pedal shootout and I love it so much I bought a second one for my synth Dawless rig. The boost is incredibly handy for boosting things that are to quite in the mix. Like I have a Volca Sample2 I use occasionally but it's line out is really quiet in the mixer. There's also a super secret setting on the SF, if you put the mode switch in between mode 1 and 2 it blends them and it sounds really good. Unironically one of my favorite fuzz pedals.
Personally, i much prefer the original golden plexi over the golden plexi 2. I recently picked up another brand new original that was sitting in the back of a music shop in a box of surplus inventory.
I wish you guys would do a challenge where both guys have the same guitar and amp, they both get the same number of pedals- but one guy can only spend 100-150 bucks per pedal- and the other can spend as much as he wants per pedal. The point is to see, can the guy who has a budget put together as good of a rig as the guy who doesn't? I think he could.
I've had the glove for around 2 years and I love it. I have it as a low to mid set gain pedal. I will say that the tone is never set below 'noon' but I never have mine switched off
@@blackfire1638 Thanks for the info, Lee got some really cool AC/DC tones here, and that's what I'd use it for, classic rock, I am aware it's not a metal pedal. Cheers
I normally hate aerodyne-style teles. No pickguard on a tele seems like a cardinal sin. But that one that Rob is playing looks really good. I’m not a convert, but I’m now Dyne-curious.
I think both boards sound great. However - one drive/distortion is sufficient imo for a small board on a budget. Stacking is all well and good, but it is possible to bend down and turn a gain knob up or down. Isn't it?
Chappers and the Captain, the old guard of YT guitar
How cool it is that it is 2024 and we are still hearing the Chappers-Captain tune at the end of the video 🤘🏻
Chaptain tunes hit harder
can you make more videos with Rob? The chemistry between Lee & Rob just doesn't exist between other presenters. They're great to watch.
Logistics aren't as easy now Rob lives in Malta.
I’m back in September I’m sure will shoot a whole load of silly things :-)
@@RobChappers Looking forward to more daftness...
Rob and Lee are like classic Top Gear
Lee + anyone else is like Top Gear rebooted, good butit misses something, that lighting in a bottle thing
Should do an “Andertons After Dark” where there’s no censoring of language and Pete/Rob/Lee can go wild with the jokes! 😂
Motion seconded.
"But this one is brown..." More Ollie please LOL
Thanks for taking the feedback and walking around in the shop :)
@FreeEngland1 “One or two times” it was the majority of the videos for a period, and I don’t mean just during lockdown. Lee’s ipad was shown more than the shop for a while there.
They did stop filming in the shop until recently @FreeEngland1
I’m watching this couple since I was 14 and now I’m 25!
Always beautiful to see you together!
"this one's brown" hahaha that got me
Give that man his own series !
Dammit guys! You just made me spit coffee out my nose with the Zeus Cream Glove!! Lol
Finally back in the store selecting the gear. We need more of this!
So much nostalgia in this one, so happy to see you two do these challenges again :)
You two are a real hoot! Please never change. ❤

You guys really can’t be serious can you, I love it
A video just like the old days.. Love it..
I love how much Chappers sounds like a 1980's Hard Rock band. Sounds awesome.
Damn i miss these guys together so much fun to watch
I actually had to buy one of those Behringer Fuzz after watching the "Rabea Chooses a Live Rig for Under £1000"
i ordered one as well, exactly :D ... also apparently they get sold out all the time. i like it quite a bit too
It’s pretty much an FZ-2 clone
Literally laughed out loud at Zeus Creamglove - I'm here for it 🤣
Put a like in before they even had a chance to say one sentence. Rob and Lee together is just awesome.
Both of those guitars are gorgeous
That Tube Pilot pedal does in fact have a 12AX7 tube in it.
Nobody loops like Pete. The Vox Mini Go Loop was epic!
Man I love it when the Captain and Chappers start ad libbing and using innuendo. Jankas a lot for the laughs. Cheers from Melbs. Oz.
Two longtime friends, talking and playing gear - what's not to like?! The best!
I’m astounded at how good that hi watt sounds mic’d up
And I'm equally not astounded at how bad that katana sounded. :-)
Thank you for being honest. It's what I love about your show.
Love the "Challenge" videos. I watch most of the videos on the channel, but the "Challenge" ones are always an immediate must-watch for me!!
We need the Zeus Cream-Glove 2024 Tour T-Shirts
Plus one on that!
Good to see a healthy dose of ToneCity pedals in there! The Golden Plexi is immense! I have the two channel version and its beyond amazing! That Behringer Fuzz that was NOT used, is absolutely the best value for money pedal EVER!
yup

The banter between Chappers and the Captain never fails!
Rob we love you dude!

Another great video, beautiful guitars!! 🎸
I always really like Lee's tone!
Great to see them having fun together again. Those chapman teles have some killer pickups.
That looks like one of the best music stores after Sweetwater in the U.S. Awesome! And I live in the U.S and there's plenty here...
Damn good playing Rob. Love seeing the dynamic duo again. Keep it coming guys.
The guitar that the CAPN is playing is stunning!
So much fun to just watch , thanks COYI!!
Rob and Lee jams just hit right.
Chapper's guitars are really beautiful. I love the tele shape and the Jimi Hendrix backwards headstock. There is still time to become Jimi Hendrix II.
Thanks man, they are Lee’s guitars as well though ❤
ZEUS CREAM GLOVE!!!!!
What a throbbing tone
He's bent a G string or two in his day
Now see, I like stuff like this. Checking out stuff to get good tones that we everyday guys can afford
Shop videos are the best videos
i sold my guitar and amp years ago, but just seeing these legends fool around inside a shop is still my comfort food
You had me crying on the floor laughing so hard
Chappers & The Captain ❤
god i love these videos. much love from iowa. 🤘🏻
Lee's Chapman looks beut! 😍
Damn I haven’t laughed that hard at an Andertons video in years. Long live Zeus!
What about Rob builds a big versatile board with no budget limit then Lee tries to replicate it with budget pedals to get as close as possible?
@16:27 Did Lee say, "Does the Golden Plexi 'cream up' any better?"
What did rob say at 3:20
Sweet Honey Overdrive(Sweet Cream) into a OCD(Glove) has been my primary sound for many years now. The OCD darkens up as you turn the gain up but using the SHOD as a semi-clean boost really opens it back up. Its like a Lion's roar.
Rob and lee back in the store and not on a i pad !!! Yess 🔥🔥🔥
Rob and Lee should do sounds like by busting the bank
I never played either amps, but that Hiwatt definitely kicks the Boss's ass imo. Kind of a shame, I feel they should have done this challenge on the same amp.

For me, there’s too many videos about gain petals Etc why not a video on rockabilly country music that type of thing for once?
Chappers is great. I love your guitars
I love how the Chapman guitar has a soft satin finish it's not glossy and sticky looking I hate the glossy guitars they look And feel so sticky.
THE MIGHTY Z\UES CREAM GLOVE WINS IT, FOR ME HIS LOOPER WAS THE BETTER, ALSO LOVED THE VID CONCEPT JUYS (MORE)!
Yes, Lee, dump your sweet cream all over the glove 😂
Captain Cream sounded good today
The hiwatt absolutely destroyed the katana, Robs katana amp only sounded bloody awful. Lee's rig for the win
You have some amazing guests. You should get Guthrie Govan on your show!
Clearly, the title of this video should have been "The Zues Cream Glove Happy Hour".
That Hiwatt sounds sooooooo much better than the Katana.
The TC Electronic Tube Pilot actually does have a proper 12AX7 tube in it. Underrated pedal IMO.
Looking forward to Zeus Creamglove meets Mateus Asato.
Pretty sure the tube pilot does actually have a tube in it
It does. It has a 12AX7.
I have one. Very usable gain pedal
Pretty sure dumping the sweet cream over the glove is a missed T-shirt opportunity
Chappers and Captain, together, they form.........THE CHAPTAIN!
I cant wait to see Creamgloves in back from now on. RIP Andertons.
Hi great video. Will you be doing full video of Hiwatt Leeds 50W Spring Reverb 1x12 Combo? Cheers!
This channel got me into Tone City. Good decisions
Zeus Cream Glove for the win! Thanks for more fun content.
Ah some stone valley redemption at the end there , nice video mr capitain and chappers
Lee wins. And he must be the best salesman on the planet.
Nice ... me could suggest the JC-40 instead of the Hiwatt ... but great sound anyway !
Thanks a lot for sharing
USA have Vai & Satch, We have Chappers & The Captain!!👍👍
Personally, i much prefer the original golden plexi over the golden plexi 2. I recently picked up another brand new original that was sitting in the back of a music shop in a box of surplus inventory.
Great video guys 👍🏻
Zeus's Happy Cream Glove Machine...that's the name of Lee's pedalboard right there.
great "pedaling" mates!
crazy thing is i have a sweet cream and golden plexi myself in me stash of goodies hahaha!!

Wow that Glove sounds great, will have to look into it

Lee!!! I think that you WON!!!!!!!!!! Your tone is so much more sploogy! Creamy, wet, drippy, and fluid!!!!!!!!!!... SORRY, ROB!!!!!!!!!!
Zeus Cream-Glove is a top ten all time Anderton’s moment
Need more of this type of videos🤩🤩🤩
perfect chance to create a triple (or double stackable) drive pedal calle ZeusCreamGlove or CreamGloveGod
Fun video.
I, would have picked a compression pedal - I'd like to have those keys 🙃😊
I normally hate aerodyne-style teles. No pickguard on a tele seems like a cardinal sin. But that one that Rob is playing looks really good. I’m not a convert, but I’m now Dyne-curious.
Together you form Capchap!
Classic Andertons. The best
Huge fan of Zeus Cream Glove
