I low key respect it, like she knew she was probably going to die either way, she didn't stand a chance against him, but instead of cowering in fear or begging for her life, she walked up to him, slapped him across the face, and told him he was a bitch. How many people can say they did that to Buu? It feels like something Goku would do, disrespect the most powerful being in the universe who is 100 times stronger than you, because YOLO (also they have dragon balls and most of the main characters have died at least once and were revived later, so nothing to lose)
And the right response was slapping the creature that's stronger than everyone. Right. This isn't the only time she did stupid shit. She held Gohan back and got angry at him for TRYING TO SAVE THE WORLD SO HE CAN STUDY. Like who tf cares about studying WHEN THERE'S NO MORE WORLD LEFT.

I feel sorry for Chi-Chi as a character, because she got screwed over. She basically went from a martial artist to a housewife serving as comedic relief by being "nagging Asian mom" trope taken to the max.
I get that Toriyama found her gag of yelling at Goku and wanting Gohan to get good grades to funny to stop using, but it got annoying when the repeating gag reached that point - "Haha look at how much of a tiger mom Chi-Chi is being, not even the apocalypse will stop her worrying about exams" isn't as funny when you know Chi-Chi is supposed to be the person with common sense between her and Goku, but then again, i'm not the one writing the manga or directing the anime.

Majin Buu is my favorite villian from Dragon Ball of all of them in the franchise, because alot of the time people died to him because of their mistakes. That Chi-Chi clip, them shooting the dog that Fat Buu liked, etc. Also you can't reason with him for the most part.
You only listed 2 instances… the OVERWHELMING majority of the people he killed did absolutely NOTHING to me.
Plus Mr. Satan LITERALLY reasoned with him lol so did piccolo somewhat by convincing him to wait for a bit to give Goten & Trunks some time to prepared for their fight with him

Buu is literally the villain and chichi thought he killed her son so no she didn't deserve to be turned into an egg.
He comes back as Uub. He was such an absolute menace to society that they couldn't keep him in hell so they reincarnated him as a human to keep them OUT of their hair and hoped when they die next time he won't remember that life and death doesn't mean shit when you're buu lol.
Reincarnation is the standard for these evil souls tho.
You should watch the episode where Goku FIRST transforms into a super saiyen, its rly good its when a major death happens and watching it for the first time as a kid seeing Goku get so worked up at how his friends killed that he transforms it was HYPE for kid me.

Some people say the Buu Saga is the worst one. Not only did all of this insanity happen in it, but we also got Majin Vegeta, the conclusion of Vegeta's character arc, some of the best dramatic and emotional character development in the entire series. Is it a fever dream with one too many subplots and characters that didn't end up mattering? Sure, it was a mess, but it was a beautiful mess.
