Tanya the evil is so underrated. Glad you're helping spread the word.
Real
Needs new season
@@AnimeOpZombie It was already announced. It's coming back soon
@@GregSmithIII I'm still waiting on a new season of Overlord they keep doing cliffhangers
facts
14:22 the video left the best context for this scenario, basically to not violate any "rule" for the war, you must openly declare what you are about to do to that city. knowing this, tanya purposefully use a playful childlike voice while saying the declaration which lead to the enemy not taking the warning seriously, and the rest is history
im laughing so much in this episode lmao, what episode is this again?
@@Surcradis It was the end of ep 5, i think? if not it was ep 6.
Actually, while it seems it was done on purpose, it was actually her being unable to modulate her voice to sound more like an adult while speaking foreign language. She was very unhappy about sounding like a child, but the notice had to be sent in dakian language so she had no choice. In the end the situation painted her as much more malevolent than she was.
actually tanya while evil she don't actually want to do them. her speak at that time is just her actual voice and she is just trying to follow protocol but end up sounding like that . ya she is like overlord ainz. this whole time she is just trying to live peacefully. but other misunderstand her and she just getting send into war and being made into evil. i mean she is evil but not the one that want chaos .
@@tomato6765 She's not evil, she's pragmatic and ambitious. She values human life as sacred, because every life lost in a war is a pointless loss. Tanya believes in a meritocratic society. All people need to do is work hard, reach the positions they are best suited for, slot into the working class system like a good little cog, and then work until you can retire in luxury. And the more people working, the better things are for everyone. That's Tanya's ideal, and why she sees war as a waste of human resources.
Goated show and one of the most aggresive ending song ever
Los Los Los
Fun fact technically the only War crime that was committed was the dude with the trench gun.
Treaty violation, not war crime.
@@polecat6534 friendly reminder: WW2 germany tried getting shotguns banned by attempting to make them a warcrime...
Its never a crime the first time… its not her fault that their world lagged behind…

A bit more context that helps explain why Tanya is so demented. First, she wasn't Truck-kun'd to that world but more rather royally screwed by Being X she prefers to call the being(God) that keeps putting into situations to make her repent or pray to it. Second is Tanya's primary goal isn't war and chaos but more a peaceful and retired life away from conflict however Being X constantly dials in when she just earned a respite to rest to continue pressuring her.
And at the end of the day, the only real war crime that was committed in the show was when the dude was using a trench gun.
that wasnt really a warcrime since us and the empire both went against there deal the deal was that the us wouldnt use the trench guns and the empire wouldnt use the flamethrower but they both broke it already but it isnt a war crime since there wasnt a law stopping the use of it. it was just a deal between 2 nations which was broken pretty fast.
@@dacup9454 I see, I assumed that when Tanya said, “That’s a treaty violation,” that would be considered a “war crime.” I also remember hearing that Tanya in the LN writes a book about how she was able to work around the system so I assumed her side didn’t break any treaties. I haven’t watched the show in a year or two, but after doing some research, you are correct.
As much as sick Tanya is, she technically never commited a war crime.
When they launched an attack on the capital of Dacia, they blew up the military base, and the rule says that the opponent has to be aware they are being attacked, in other words, they have to announce the attack before they do it, otherwise it would be considered terrorist attack and a crime. She did announce it, but did it with the kid-like, cute and innocent voice so they'd think the kids are pulling a prank on them. They didn't suspect a thing and she could blow them up without any consequences.
Later on in fighting the Republican resistance, basically explained, because the enemies killed that Imperial (german) POW, that made them terrorists, allowing Tanya to kill anyone she wanted. So the civilians were considered terrorists, thus Tanya killing them was justified, and could once again, do anything she wanted with no consequences.
yeah i get a little trigered when people start saying shes done a lot of war crimes, when in reality she is all about following the rules, and she is not evil (at leat yet) since she really never did anything for the sake of evil, she was just doing her job to survive and just so hapens to be she takes pleasure in doing her job (whaterver it might be) right
She just good find hole in the law...
Tanyaist behaviour
Love it 😂
Emphasis on the "technically"
She doesn't commit war crimes, but she knows the rules of war so thoroughly that she can find every loophole or exploit in the book.
The child-like voice isn't explained well _at all_ in the anime, but it's because she's usually deepening her tone to sound more soldierly. It's stated a number of times that her voice is actually rather melodic, or even angelic (especially when singing in Choir at the orphanage), and that's what her tone defaults to when she tries to give the Dacians their fair warning.
It's also equally worthy of note that her troops were all _baffled_ at the idea that Tanya *_didn't_* want to blow up the entire capital. Like, why give a warning? And then, because of the above, they rationalize her childish-sounding warning being a "toe-the-line" rouse to "couch" her sating her bloodlust as being "within the law."
To put it simply, everyone else thought she was using the law to excuse her murderous intent, while she was actually wholeheartedly attempting to follow the law. This is also why she gave the warning herself in the first place-she figured she shouldn't push it off onto her subordinates without doing it herself first. Basically the ideal boss stereotype of "Do as I do" rather than "Do as I say."
Same with the Republican "resistance." Arene was, _technically,_ an Imperial city, and had been for at least a hundred or so years, becoming part of the Empire during the _last_ war between the Fatherland and the Republic. And while there were a lot of anti-imperialists living in Arene and the surrounding area, they *were **_living_** there.* The Imperial government was fine with their grumbling. And then the war broke out, and that grumbling became an uprising.
The thing no one talks about enough is that the Republic mages were there specifically to incite an uprising, and also *_use the civilians as human shields._* They were quite literally appealing to their great-grandfathers' French roots, while also joking amongst themselves about using these imperial pigs as shields to hide from the Empire's "wolves." Hell, after Arene, the AU!French weren't all that horrified by Tanya's actions, they were pissed that *_their_* actions had been caught, so they couldn't badmouth the Empire without all of their *_ACTUAL_* war crimes being exposed. Which didn't help the Empire all that much, since trying to expose the Francs first would only see the evidence ignored since, y'know, _everyone_ is trying to beat the Empire.
While Tanya's group did kill a good number of Republican mages, they had to _retreat._ Fighting an urban battle where they couldn't tell if civilians were Friend or Foe was just not a viable plan of action. So Tanya took a page out of *_AMERICA's_* playbook that was written after Vietnam: Find evidence of the enemy (militia executing a PoW), let the civilians leave, and then torch whoever's left.
Because surprise, a lot of the things people call her evil about using? It's from the *_US._* Her insane month-long training? Literally just Hell Week for Navy SEALs, except with high altitude training instead of sea depth training, and she extended it to a month since Hell Week is supposed to be the capstone to a roughly six month long training period, and she didn't _have_ six months.
Major Tanya von Degurechaff has honed the teachings of various military academies to a very high degree and the gone ahead formulating her own doctrine based on the mistakes found therein.
A Doctrine she slowly trickles into the minds of her very Commanding officers like Leutnant General Hans von Zettour and Leutnant General Kurt von Rudersdorf
I would like you to watch the original Japanese version of "Saga of Tanya the Evil".
The voice actress who plays Tanya, Yuuki Aoi, is wonderful.
Anything with her is usually top tier, especially when she portrayed Kumoko the spider lol
She also voices tornado from OPM, another unhinged loli
I find it funny when people try to compare Tanya to Moustached man.....because Tanya didn't start the war......Germany in this timeline didn't start the war. Just like in WW1 Germany was attacked by the Allies and was on the Defensive for the most part. Many of the Countries represented are the same countries that existed in WW1, just with different names, Dacia is Romania, the Republic is France, the Commonwealth is England and the Entente Alliance is the Norse countries, Sweden, Finland and Norway. The Entente Alliance and the Republic started the War in this timeline so you can't then claim victimhood because Tanya start winning......
While Tanya has very little in the way of Morality, she does have her Principles and will abide by the International rules of Warfare.......Like with Dacia when she gave them then warning that she was about to blow up their Weapons Factory, she did it in a sweet cute childlike voice but she abided by the rules of warfare and warned them.
he probably forgot what kind of a banger anime opening this anime has 😂
Tanya is the demon king of children 💀
Tanya the Evil also has a boppin’ opening which is sung by ‘Myth & Roid’😊
What makes this crazier, in the light novel Tanya is canonically always cracked out on some drug
And we been waiting a second season for years... Yep
4:58 "Imagine being 7 years old with a fucking AK-47"
You can see that in real life already. Why do I need to imagine it?
its pretty fucking common too...

Yo, why'd you reply to yourself twice!!
i watched it a long back and after watching it, im recommending all my friends to watch Tanya the evil. its like a hidden gem with good story, animation and sound effects
Literally EVERYONE in chat self-reporting that they actually genuinely don't know shit about the series even if they've watched it. No one who's actually watched or read the series calls her little hitler, nazi, dictator, whatever.
"The Empire" is a hypothetical Germanic empire that didn't dissolve into multiple other countries, so it's not Germany, it's RL Germany + other countries in a single empire. This is the very first World War in their world in the years between the IRL WW1 and 2, so there was never a post-war country forced to pay absurd reparations for the funny-mustache man or someone similar to take over. She also doesn't commit literal warcrimes, she follows the laws of war as written to the letter.
Its really funny watching this because they get everything about the series wrong, and what the fans of the series tried to explain for years lol. She also isnt plain evil it just comes allong with fighning in war wich, her whole goal is to avoid war while trying to keep as many people alive as she can for civilianz is because she respects having workers, and she herself likes peaces and for her squad because she genuily cares for these people

YAY! MORE CJ DACHAMP VIDEOS PLEASE!!! 😍💖
One of the lines in the anime is
"She is a demon in the body of a little girl" or something like that. Also, Tanya's real enemy is the God of reincarnation. It's wild💀
So, Tanya just took Canada and Poland's Geneva checklist and decided to set a new record is that it?
Not the case actually, she never commited war crimes, always staying in line with the law. Technically.
This series is insane!
9:44 "at least they made it interesting, it's a little girl, that's awesome"
Lol, out of context quotes
Ah, yes, a classic CJ Da Champ video
It has been so long since I watched the anime, it still is a banger in my books even after all that time.

“Kids are cruel Jack, and I’m very in touch with my inner child”
おお!!ついに!!
THE BEST COLLAB EVER WTF
Feels like we've been waiting on this sequel for 2 lifetimes.
Ur reaction is damn good bruhh
One of my favorite isekai, you gotta love this one
Fun fact: this show is animated by Studio NUT.
The opening (by Myth&Roid) and the ending (sung by Tanya's voice actress -- in character) are both legendary.
one thing to keep in mind, for some reason the anime likes to push the idea of tanya being evil (heck it's even in the english title), so they are leaving out a lot of context, that helps explain her actions, to make her look crueler and more evil than she actually is.
for example, the guy that she fired? the one who pushed her in front of that train? that guy wasn't just a poor overworked dude who wanted to spent time with his family, like the anime wants to make you believe. in the original light novel, he was a complete sleazebag who was constantly harassing his co-workers, on top of actively embezzling money from the company. so "tanya" wasn't just cruelly firing some poor overworked family man, but she had a very good reason for firing him. only the anime doesn't show that, to make her seem much crueler than she actually is.
similarly, the guys she sends to their death in that bunker? they were complete douchebags. they thought they were better than anyone else, because they were brave and patriotic enough to volunteer, making them superior to those cowards who had to be conscripted into service in their minds. as such, they were constantly harassing and bullying those conscripted, despite receiving several warnings not to do so. they also didn't respect tanya as their superior and were prone to disobeying orders, constantly putting the lives of everyone in their company at risk, by regularly breaking formation and going on "heroic" suicide runs against the enemy army. so tanya eventually had to cut them loose, since they were an active detriment to her and her company.
also keep in mind that, while many want to draw parallels between tanya and that austrian mustache model, this whole war is more based on ww1 than ww2. basically what happened was that the northern kingdom, consisting of not-norway, not-finnland and not-sweden, had a bad political year, so they decided that, in order to raise moral, they were going to annex not-denmark, which at that time belonging to not-germany, reasoning that "oh yeah, we used to own that 100 years ago, let's just say we still do and invade the country. not like anyone is gonna try and stop us". suprise, not-germany decided to in fact defend their territory and try to stop them, resulting in the war. so not-germany isn't really the bad guy in that situation. heck, they even tried to stop the war after they defeated and sacked the capital of not-france, but the world was too afraid of not-germany growing too powerful, so they refused peace and kept the war going.
so yeah, a lot of context left out to make tanya look much more cruel and evil than she actually is. don't get me wrong, she is ruthless as a soldier, but ultimately she isn't a bad person and would rather avoid hurting others, if they don't force her hand.
Just watched the anime and movie 4 days ago, and man it was hella good
Probably this was my favorite isekai anime,
The sfx is Top tier 👍
OST is insane in this anime
She is one of my all time favorite anime characters
The actual last scene of the only season we got had me so hyped

The ED is so good, you should watch it
Tanya is tasked with creating the rapid deployment battalion, she is assigned an aide. Viktoriya Ivanovna Serebryakova is now a lieutenant and gets the job.
When major Tanya Degurechaff announces the 36-hour training, Viktoriya doesn't say anything. She just starts digging a foxhole for cover. Made me laugh and cry.
Oh man. Let's go
Tanya just wants an easy life but fate always brings her back onto the battlefield
Yo this is a crazy recap 😂😂😂 its so fuckin accurate 😂
THE DAUGHTER OF HITL- I mean uh, yes....
There's a movie too after season 1, focusing on Mary Sue
OMG YES please watch this shit, this is the most underrated anime in my opinion
PLEASE MAN, It's only 12 episodes and a movie, im begging, please watch the show, shit's not only underrated but GOATED asf too 😭🙏
I wish he showed how fucking scary Mary Sue was she was fucking shooting laser beams of destruction.
Tanya is a whole another level when it comes to doing things are absolutely insane while following the rules because she doest want to tried for warcrimes after the war
mary sue literally plot armour incarnate because she has god on her side and in the novel she just charges head first in to volley fire from tanyas entire battalion and comes out unscathed

Bro saga of Tanya the evil is super good, hope you watch it!
u gotta watch this nick!
Actually I think that colonel wasn't from US but like from Ukraine/Finland in that world but he fled to the US with his family so they can be safe
Yup, she's amazingly insane.
I don't like Undertale's story much, but I found Nicholas from there because I enjoy seeing people's experiences. Haven't seen much since then, but saga of tanya the evil will be a great series
The best part about Youjo Senki (Saga of Tanya the Evil) is that depending if you watch the anime or read the manga/novel, your view on her became completely different. In Anime she seems like a psychopath, crazy, warmonger. while on the novel you get more info on her decision making, which makes her more on a rationalist personality making you accepting her decision more often. While on manga she's more on an airhead.
I also forget sometimes that it is an isekai anime, I will only remember it when she makes a decision that is influence by her past life.
And the Empire (Tanya's home country) is actually the one being invaded, they are simply defending their territory, which means they are the good guys.
If I can remember, she also bombed a hospital full of people
It's funny that he is treating Tanya from a 3rd person perspektiv xd
The world Tanya ends up in is basically Germany with magic.
ironically this anime was the first anime i every watched
Kabaneri of the iron fortress and tayna the evil both my favorite underrated anime’s
Fun fact : if you watch her movie where she met Marry Soux, you'll see one particular dialogue of her unit when enemy Fighter plane come saying "It's better than hearing the Mayor(tanya) Lecture, they are big and slow anyway". which mean even her direct subbordinate fear her
In the ova, tanya destroys an entire army just to cook pasta
Bro honestly, I need that dub to be official ENG dub for this anime
I'm surprised you put the War for the Planet of the Apes joke😂
Yup, Tanya is an absolute menace!
This video didn't even cover the half of it, go check out the anime Nick!
I'm a tanyaist I like her
One of the best sound design in anime
Finally comes the day nic reacting to Youjo senki/ Tanya the evil
If you've ever heard of Konosuba, Re:Zero, and Overlord, they're from the same publisher Kadokawa and they're known as the Holy Quartet of Isekai. If you've ever watched any of those 3 you know how good they are, story-wise and animation. They even released a short running series where all of the MCs and their respective casts got summoned to a school where they interact with each other. Seeing Kazuma and Subaru interact with each other is comedy gold. Tanya and Ainz, unsurprisingly enough, are best buds too💀
(Also idk if Nick even reads his comments but if you got the time, I'd recommend reacting to the ending song of this show "Los! Los! Los!" It's got an aggressive rock anthem style that I know you'd fw)
Could literally be called "Mein Furher can't be this cute" and it'd still make sense
Context for everyone since nearly everyone got stuff wrong:
1. tanya is way different than the austrian painter
2. this plays in the WW1 not WW2
3. In WW1 there were nearly no war laws and weapons of all kind got used on everything (civilian or soldier didnt matter)
-> wild thing is that he came out of a time were there were war laws.
4. she is a strong realistic/capitalistic thinker which is why she doesnt really like the war and hates communists since the communistic ideology is very bad for economics
5. she is not a dictator, she is more a tactician and manipulator who tries to win the war and win against the entity X that plays god and is trying to make her believe and if she doesnt trying to end her without the chance on reincarnation since that is what he has control over and that is her last life
6. the third reich is not a germanish world since not even 40% of germans supported the austrian painter when he was around, but those who did support him were politicians, most of the military and other people with higher authority than the common man, which in turn gave opressed any other faction (like lawyers and judges setting the austian painter free after nine months after the failed attempt to overthrow the current goverment or the SS creating mass fights in public to install fear into every other faction not to advertise their political party or citizens to vote for a different political party other than the NSDAP)
Adding to that, most of germans in todays society are not very pleased or even angry if you just mention the painters name in front of them and dont like him.
In conclusion, please stop referring everything mildly german to the third reich and please stop the german hate. we will not forget what happened, but you dont have to shove it in our face every time and adding to that is it nearly 80-90 years in the past and mostly possible due to the versaille contract that was very unfair made and stripped germany (Weimacher republic back then) of nearly everything, inflated the prices to unimaganable hights making everyone poor and on top of that demanded unreasonable compensation from only germany and put all the blame on germany for WW1 ( which is simply not true since everyon in europe was hot on war in that time). that obviously made every german mad and was the perfect manipulation tool for the NSDAP to gain control over high society.
living life as a german is very hard in todays society for things we cannot change and its very frustrating to hear it everywhere we go, which almost racist to us. so please stop with this senseless ignorance and racism towards us germans
Tanya The Evil is actually so good. I didn't think I would like it as much as I did. And Tanya just being Satan makes it better
fun fact: in the isekai titled Drifters, Hitler actually appears there. Implying that after ww2 he left our world and got isekaied there.
Bro has never heard of my goat Tanya Von Degurechaff III

Nick living out his terrorist dreams through Tanya
They made a movie too !!!
I haven't seen the anime but the manga is wayyy darker than you think and also THE best war manga for example the town burning the thing about it it was a devil's plan (which she made) to make a controlled firestorm to burn alive more than half a cities population and kill any that escape all with the idea to justify war crimes so its legal 😊
the light novel is probably the best out of the three.
Terrorist kun has been done, in a manga called From Far Away.
MC finds a bag and KABOOM!!! she gets Boston marathoned across the bock!
In 2021 we've got official statement (including a voice only teaser) that they have been working on season 2 but I guess they need to find a suitable moment because obviously it is inappropriate to release season two at this period of time.
Would love to see reactions to the Ruyga videos from CJ. Our childhood demon
She also attack a base for pasta
Let that sink in
op from Tanya the evil is pure fire
he didn't metion at the "resistance part" tanya gave civilians 24h to clear out after that anyone left was considered enemy combatant
also thu out the animé tanya's motivation is actualy to stay safe and get away from war ....
I would absolutely love it if you reacted to this. It's one of my favorite shows and by far my favorite Isekai. Tanya is *THE* magic loli Hitler. Whenever you hear of the OP evil child, Tanya is number one.
Combine that with a legitimately awesome yet brutal version of WWI, amazing sound design, really great animation and an epic soundtrack, and you've got the makings of one of the best anime of the 2010s.
