Intrepid is amazing and I agree, but Galaxy feels like home. Plus, it has a blastdoor for for barrels of fun. Not the best engineering by far, But i always really appreciated the enterprise engine design.
Galaxy and Intrepid definitely have the best engineering sets :) I somewhat like engineering (and bridge) for the Constellation class though. I think the sets really distinguish the ship from the state of the art Enterprise as much as possible. Might have been interesting to see a Constellation class in their prime
I do agree with your list here but felt like the Defiant class was a good engineering space for the ship design. On the fence if it should have beat out the protostar.
I'm not sure I can completely agree with your order, but those top 2, totally agree. TNG's Enterprise's Galaxy engineering layout and Voyager's Voyager's Intrepid engineering layout are hard to beat.
One must wonder, what should an Engineering section look like on a starship? Most of the time we just see a bunch of consoles and a warp core. I do like what I saw from the JJ Verse because you actually get to see things like piping, fuel cells, etc. Another thing about Engineering is that the Engineers are always so clean. When I think about Engineers, I think of Mechanics getting dirty and greasy. Getting hands on with machines instead of just tapping consoles.
Honestly shocked that NX01's engineering (despite being in the thumbnail!) didn't make the top list. It's so much fun to watch Trip climb around it, and it really has a "we just now figured out how to make this thing work" vibe.

Totally agree. Voyager’s engineering is just the absolute best in every way. It’s so pretty and hi tech looking.

Defiant is definitely the #6 looking for better. Certainly nothing wrong with it.

I'd be disappointed if we all agreed on everything!

Galaxy Class Warp Core sound, aka the ear rumble.

Nothing wrong with it. Feels like it belongs in the time period it's from.
Seriously this is a trek topic only true trekkies can appreciate; thanks
I love Enterprise Es engineering, feels like it was a good evolution of Voyager's
The best warp core design, in my opinion, was from ST Into Darkness. An actual fusion reactor courtesy of Lawrence Livermore.
Love the Intrepid…but not as much as the NX-01
wait .. wasn't Voyagers/Intrepid engineering layout and warp core just a reskin from one of the TSO Movies?
I don't believe so.
@@bestoftrekworstoftrek its my mistake ... ST5 and 6 got a redress of the TNG Engineering area/lay out. that is my bad, its not Voyager.
TOS was NOT on a "limited budget". Star Trek spent a TON on it's sets. The expense of production was one of the reasons it didn't make it.
so it was limited by it's budget
@@spartan117ak That's not what "limited budget" implies, and you know it.
Everything about Discovery is so stupid.
16th my favorite engineering sections are Voyagers and Defiants.,...
