Really enjoyed this interview. She I’d just adorable. Always watch your videos but not often comment. This one deserves a 👍. Thank you for all your video work.
What a character! I would love to sit in a lunch knitting group with you ladies. Just listening to all of Jerri's stories. Looks like she has great mid-century interior design in her home too. Jerri has what we want and need from knitting all figured out. Wishing her many many more years of fun knitting ❤
Hi Billie, your guest was so fascinating that I had to watch the whole show in one viewing. I hope Jerri will write a book about her life in the fashion industry and her family. When I looked up her gorgeous blouses, I came across a page about her on The Gotham Center for NY History web site. I read Babe Ruth was her neighbor, about the Huk-A-Poo label, her dance career, auditioning for the Rockettes, being a showroom model, etc., etc. Jerri's knitting is so complicated, vivid and detailed.
@@ShowandTellknitting Maybe we need a Part 2 or 3 to see more of Jerri's handknits. I use that trick too. I attach a label so I know which side is the back. By the way, Billie, you are making great progress on your Norwegian sweater. Now you are on the sleeves. Fingers crossed it has enough stretch and works out well! Are you making a hat to match? Maybe mittens too?
@@Joyce-t2f And I've made even more progress since the next video (which drops in less than 5 hours). Yes! I think I should have enough for a hat and maybe mittens, too! And I still might have yarn to spare, oh my!
Top marks on this one, Billie. Her silk blouses are incredible and her knitting is amazing. I wish I lived in New York City so I could be part of the guild with the two of you
That steeked colorwork cardigan was so beautiful! As to your question about whether I would make a sweater that required me to swatch every square: I think I would have just fudged it and sewn a bunch of mismatching squares to make a Frankenstein cardigan! Jerri is very talented and I think this video is a great reminder for something you both subscribe to: that there is no need to produce 3 billion sweaters a year! I am trying to keep this in mind as I embark on making more and more complicated sweaters and produce less and less -- I may be producing less, but I am producing even more awesome stuff that I will use for years to come. Wonderful video once again. Hi to both of you from Pittsburgh! All of your videos make me want to visit NY and check out the museums and yarn stuff :)
Join the complicated knitters club! As for NYC...I think I'll organize a museum outing the day before Vogue Knitting Live. Let me know if you plan on making the trip.
I could listen to this conversation all day and wish it went longer! Jerri is fascinating. Really liked this one 👍👍👍
She'll be thrilled to hear that! Thanks!!

Maybe because it wasn't vintage??? Jerri really is a fascinating knitter. Glad you liked it (and commented!!)

She is a hoot (and a treasure) to be sure!

Wow! You really got into sleuthing! Any wonder her knitting is complex!

What an interesting discussion!
I'm so glad you found it to be so!
Hi Jerri! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work! I don't use Ravelry much either, no time for it. Happy knitting.😊
Really? I find it super-useful!!!
