Since alot of people are asking about the cost of wheels I will add this here. Moza are currently developing cheaper wheels that will be coming very soon that will be much much more affordable, along with making their quick release (which is the best QR on the market tbh) available to be purchased separately. On top of this people seem to be a lil hungup on the console compatibility, the Moza DD range is compatible with consoles using something called Drivehub, which is something they are looking to have available on the website or something similar to it.
We don't all wann buy from Fanatec. :)
@@Vaeshkar j'ai essayé a deux reprise d'acheter sur le site de fanatec, ils ont refusé mon paiement,je pense qu'il faut se tourner vers d'autres constructeurs, fanatec n'a plus le monopole!!!!
Fanatec are multiplatform, until another company does the same, they'll be inferior. There is no other wheelbases in the industry that work on PC, Xbox, PS5. This is the main reason Fanatec are so popular. The company found an untapped market. Drivehub is 3rd party device that cost €100, you don't get the same kind of customization/support on console, plus you'll get a bit of delay in wheel rotation.
@@Vaeshkar speak for yourself 😆
@@karl343 I could care less about console compatibility....i just want more affordable PC sim racing equipment (and NOT the plastic garbage that Thrustmaster and Logitech sell). Fanatec & Moza prices are a fraud on society. We still need MORE Competition!!
what some people don't understand is that competition between companies is really good for us it means cheaper and better equipment for all. pm the cinematic quality never stops to amaze me
Indeed. As a console gamer im sickened that fanatec has no Competition. They just charge 600 euro fir the 8nm playstation base. 120 euro more for playstation players compared to xbox/pc...
I wish we had simagic, moza on consoles
@@Martin-vn9fr Ive been using my R9 with PS5 on GT7 for the last couple of days using an adapter, it will be available alongside the R9 at abruzzi as the UK distributors for Moza Racing :)
@@benllewellyn1888 source? What adapter?
@@jonneymendoza Im the UK distributor so have had the units a while, the adapter is called Ras1ution 2 for PS5 and Ras1ution 1 for the other xbox, ps4 etc. Simply plug the moza pedals and wheelbase in to the adapter and then plug that in to the PS4/5
@@benllewellyn1888 nice. Is it some kind of USB adapter?
When can we expect this to be announced?
I have now had mine for around a week now and i am loving it, The FFB is great and so easy to set up for your own liking the Pit House software is so easy to use

@@keppycs Yes I did. nice guess
Can we just take a second to admire how effin good Asseto looks
I thought the same. Th rain looked amazing!
I just stepped into the world of DD wheels, as I bought a Fanatec GT DD Pro, I'm glad to see there are more competitors starting in this business. A bit of good competition might drive the costs down in the long run :)
No fanatec is going up in price next week
@@Jkarl74 Please lend me your time machine.
I hope so, but just can't see it with the worldwide shortage of microchips looking likely to be an issue for some time. Hate to be that guy but when prices go up, and up and up, as they've done for 2 years now, they generally don't go back down again.
@@High.on.Life_DnB fanatec said it themselves. also they stopped selling csl dd 5nm. 8nm is mandatory now
@@user-wq9mw2xz3j the GT DD is still the same price, don't know about the CSL... but I doubt they'll go up in price, if it does it'll lower back down soon enough, people will get other brands over fanatec. (I noticed there are quite some companies with DD wheels popping up), only truly good thing about fanatec is console support.
Can we just appreciate the production quality of this review😻
Simucube has off hand protection. When you’ve got potentially 25nm of torque going to your hands it’s SO useful.
So does Moza's R9 i think
That base can snap too. I made the mistake of turning it up to full and trying to send it at portimao in the 720S GT3. Holy jesus that snap on that bugger nearly took my thumb off
I do not own a DD wheelbase as of yet but from all the reviews I've watched. IMO I think 10nm should be the standard for low end DD. With 12-15nm being mid level and 16-25nm High end.
great video and ammusing as well. Ordered my R9 last friday along with GS wheel an waiting impatiently for it turn up.... Thanks for the review, gives me a bit of piece of mind.
Hey Corey, just dropping by to show some love. I really enjoy the content you put out. I’ve been following your channel for a couple of years now and it still baffles me that you don’t have more subscribers (even though I know that is not what motivates you). I don’t personally know you, but I can feel through your videos that you are a genuinely good person and just loves what he does, not only on the driving side but also the community that comes with it. I hope that in the coming future this channel grows and just blows up, not necessarily for fame nor money (even though that has its good side as well) but because you deserve it and people should also know how good you and your stuff is. Keep doing what you are doing. Sending love from Brazil ♥️
Moza got the hands off protection idea from SimUCube. My SC2 Pro has it. It also came with a E Stop.
looks great...it's good to be a sim racer these days...lovin the new gear here,,and yes love seeing some alternatives to Fanatech... wondering how their customer service is...especially comped to Fanatech...Moza's line are really ascetically nice looking...wishing i knew about this system 2 weeks ago...well maybe i'll get this too....thanks for the review
Customer service is really good, im the UK distributor and they have always been so fast to sort any issues. One of the best companies i have dealt with in terms of response time.
Why do people use so many ellipses? Instead of using real punctuation i mean
Superb!! To make a good comparison you need to take into account the total price of wheelbase + wheel rim and I think that for the moment I think CSL DD has an edge on good quality entry level wheel rim. So the next challenge for Moza is to address that segment of market !!
Club sport V3 are very good with the performance kit, but Moza pedals are even more beautiful!
Whole heartedly agree. I have been feeding this feedback to the people at Moza. What they have on the cards next precisely this. Their next big focus will more budget friendly wheels despite the current wheel range being excellent value for money. But more big things are coming.
@@CoyoteRacing If your aftersales customer care is good, then you will take a fair slice of the market. I only wish now I'd heard of Moza before I parted with the cash (see my story of woe above).
I threatened to return my DD Pro to Fanatec. I reckon it would reach their warehouse before I received my replacement pedals. I basically have a paperweight. Farg them.
Great review!
But some points...where do you saw the 400 EUR price...in Europe i can only see 460 EUR aprox...care to Share?!
But regardless of that, combo wise, Fanatec is cheaper, and dependent of options, can go from almost 400 to 200 EUR (CSL DD+ McLaren without and with quick release and magnetic shifters)...i think it's a lot in this segment and trouble Times.
Also console compatibility and customers support, also important...one it doesnt exist, other is ok unkown quantitie.. important factors!
People always look to the package and surface, specially to whats new, and should think in a more holistic way. Of course, not refering to your review, but to others perception.
I am sure Moza will keep improving and it's always Nice to see Competition, and this product is proof that Fanatec releasing CSL DD, was a real game changer, and that is something we should be gratefull, since we all bennefited!
Hope to see your CSL DD review soon.
Cheers
Just placed my order for this + the GS wheel! I'm really looking forward to it, your reviews really helped!

@@sebbakoledis3447 Update, amazing haha the dd base is insane :) easily strong enough for most I reckon, and the gs wheel is great, if you are looking for me to answer specifics please let me know
@@btkb1427 it came quickly then, 8 days? And what pedals are you using?
Currently using a g923 for last 1.5 years. Running 3080 triple screen setup 1440p. Trying to decide between this and the Fanatec DD pro which i have been seeing lots of complaints about
@@sebbakoledis3447 Yeah mate haha I use Thrustmaster TLCM. I ordered from a British strore which just had them come in :) It's really a big upgrade (I had a T248). I can't comment on the Fanatec DD pro but this one is really a great base. The wheel is expensive which put me off initially but it's so well made I think it's worth it (Moza are releasing a cheaper wheel soon). My opinion is that Moza is really trying to get a significant market share of the mid-range simracing space, which can only be a good thing (I think!) haha let me know if any of this helps :)
@@btkb1427 should i bite the bullet and go for the r9 with the new cs wheel rim? currently have had a tmx for years and would like to finally upgrade. i drive karts a lot (as thats what i race irl) as well as driving cars, do you think base is strong enough to simulate a kart?
Great video, review and honestly!! Really appreciate that and what you are saying regarding HAM vs MAX fans, tru!! Looking forward to a Monza vs Fanatec video...
Great to see competition in the market. As someone who races on both PC and Playstation however I'd say we need some of these smaller companies to go out and get the relevant Sony and Microsoft licences if at all possible.
If this had console support I would agree with it being a direct competitor to the csl DD not to mention the wheels are more expensive than the base. Wish companies would support consoles more.
Good point, the only reason I'd go fanatec over this, is the dd pro gran turismo supports Ps5, series x with the right wheel and pc, but this base looks bad ass
@@nextgengaming7803 it does look great.
@@wafizainal8855 yeah I get that and we as racers suffer from corporate greed. The DD base for ps5 is almost double the Xbox version because the force you into the 8nm brick and the 150$ license fee on top but knowing this monopoly they can charge what they want. The thrusmaster DD would have been great competition as they have a world wide reach much easier to get then fanatec with a wider support also. So many lost opportunities
I received my Fanatec DD Pro with loadcell brake three weeks ago, and the throttle pedal was not working. Fanatec's 'support' page offered to get back to me in "2-3 business days", but only after chasing them a number of times (and them insinuating that I had not cabled properly) did they offer to send me replacement pedals.
A week after they promised to send them, and only AFTER i reminded them (they had forgotten), I still have not received them. I got an email from the delivery courier, not Fanatec, despite me requesting delivery details.
Their customer support is hopeless. Countless emails to them, and no replies unless I initiated the conversation. I had heard that their customer support was bad, but had thought those stories were exaggerations. FMD.
Fanatec suck for a vast number of reasons. I'm moving on from my CSL DD in the next two weeks or so.
Thanks im instantly selling my CSL DD 8nm when I receive it in like a couple weeks, should be easy money.
TBH, $430 + $500 for the rim and that's VAT excluded. You could buy a CSL DD with a rim and CSL Pedals for that price. It would have to be much better for me to consider it.
Moza have cheaper wheels on the horizon. They will be coming very soon
@@CoyoteRacing Until they ship from the EU they're not really competition unfortunately. Import fees/VAT add too much to the price. Even with a cheaper wheel, VAT alone will add 23% to the cost.
@@bbc6rgf57ytty5yxyw5gt they already are through sites like abruzzi
900+ and no pedals or console support , but it does have 1 nm more torque than the CSLDD 🥴🙄…
@@CoyoteRacing Appreciate the reply, but Abruzzi are UK based.
Great video! This is informative and funny (towards the end). Subscribed!
This is cool... but what I'm looking in a wheel beside its quality is support on all platforms. Fanatec is right know only DD wheel that can be easily used on PS5, Xbox, PC and has official support.
And the wheel rims don’t cost 500 dollars 🥴🧐😳 like this thing lol.
dude this fanatec hardcore fan breakdown got me, hahahahhah. good stuff! i bought a moza r9 a week before i saw this video based on opinions from people who tired it. i think it will be a great upgrade for a G27.
Love the review, the pricing of the R9 is really competitive my only slight issue is the pricing of the actual wheel rims, Moza has created a great cheap base but doesn't have the wheels to match, which confuses me a bit
Worry not my friend that is what Moza have next up on the horizon. They are currently developing them
@@CoyoteRacing ooooo exciting!
@@CoyoteRacing That doesn’t help anyone right now though… If you want console support, or a package under a 1000 dollars this is not for you. 🥴You get a basic wheel, 8nm boosted wheel base, console support/PC support, and pedals for 849 from Fanatec and for 1000 you get all that with the Load cell brake and clutch 🧐…Not a competitor at all.
Now the question I guess alot of us are left with. Can we just take of the MOZA quick release and chuck on a normal racing wheel so we don't have to buy a $500 wheel?
Well moza will be releasing their quick release as a separate product so u can attach third party wheels. But Moza are currently developing lower cost wheels
@@CoyoteRacing doesn't help me now if you get what I mean 😅 maybe having a $50 wheel with a qr from moza for drifters would be all the rage, but that's not something I'm I think they'll do right after launch
@@PolarfoxPlays you'd be surprised. I'm fairly certain they are aiming to get the qr out as soon as possible
@@CoyoteRacing They have the QR on their website. It appears to be just the wheel-side QR. With this, can a 3rd party wheel be used and plugged into the PC via a coiled USB? I wouldn't expect them to make it compatible wirelessly with everyone else. I just want to be able to use other wheels. Thanks in advance.
Yes the QR is available now on theirs and distributors websites. It will work fine with a coiled usb powered wheel. 70mm pattern for their qr so as long as your wheel will take that you will be fine.
This looks amazing. The wheel looks great as well. If they can offer a kit wheel with pedals for sub 1000 this would be awesome
;)
@@SpartanArmy117 Dont worry they will
That's true, just the same as Nvidia and AMD, something that works well has to be said, also what is slightly worse or better, everyone drives differently like rally, F1, etc, I'm waiting for the explanation from the fanatec CSLDD
I've got my eye on MOZA for my eventual upgrade to DD from my g29. This looks very promising.
same here
Not to steer you away from this base but I went from the g29 to the fanatec gt dd pro and it's an amazing upgrade so I can imagine this one is equally as good of an upgrade but I play on console so your needs may be different so for me having a ps4 and an Xbox the dd pro is compatible with both as long as you have an Xbox compatible wheel rim
@@pmm4177 The R9 is miles better than the CSL DD.
One thing you got to keep in mind is that: Yes the wheel base is bang for the buck but the steering wheels from moza is so fucking expensive unlike just getting a CSL DD + mclaren wheel which cost like around 549 vs moza r9 938$
@@marshal7969 yea but for me the risk of the pins bending or snapping is just not worth it, this forces you to get a metal QR, on fanatec Reddit, people have been posting their faults like wheelbase disconnecting when QR is done up too tight and some other weird stuff like pins being bent so that kinda put me off. I guess we can just wait and see when Moza releases cheaper rims.
Price should include wheel and pedals. Does it still beat the CSL DD? I dont care about the brand. It needs to be good first. Then better if cheaper.
No it doesn’t beat Fanatec when compared by it’s full value as a complete set. 849 gets you a full set from Fanatec. 900 from these guys gets you a wheel base , no console support, a wheel rim, and no pedals. The wheels alone cost 500 on this thing and they don’t support console. When they have a sub 1000 dollar package it would then be a fair comparison.
this might be my first wheel and DD been using a fake ds4 controller, I dont know what to expect will buying this March for my bday gift for muself 😁
Don't forget to use my link when u do
9Nm is such an odd number to go for... 1Nm more than the CSL DD/Pro yet 1Nm less than other similiar wheelbases
Shaft outputting maybe? 😆
Have a sub ! I am thinking for building a sim rig and not being in any ecosystem allows me to look at everything. I have never heard of Moza but in the last two days I have seen plenty of videos. I wish Asetek would take their wheel out already so I have a view on that as well. Their pedals seem to be the best on the market but I believe they work with any wheel including this one.
I have the R9 on a rig here in the UK paired with the Asetek pedals actually. Great pedals and a great little wheelbase.
::DisclaImer:: I’ve only owned Fanatec gear since I started sim racing, and only drive on console(and probably won’t own anything else lol)! Fanatec gear I’ve owned:: Xbox 360 Porsche GT2 Wheel base(still works and getting my driving fix on Xbox 360😢);CSL elite aluminum pedals with load cell brake and a clutch; Clubsport Handbrake; Clubsport SQ 1.5 Sequential/8sp shifter; and Xbox 1 CSL wheel, and Xbox 1 CSL elite wheel base (broken at 4 years of hard use); and currently waiting for my CSL DD 8nm Wheel base to replace the broken CSL…
This Moza wheel base is not a comparison with Fanatec. No console support and wheels that cost 500 dollars is not a fair comparison for 1nm of extra torque. For 849 dollars US you get a complete set that is out of the box ready for PC/Console. With moza you don’t but you get 1nm extra of torque.
Now Fanatec isn’t the greatest company…My Xbox1 CSL wheel broke and wasn’t under warranty so I had to buy another one. My CSL elite Xbox 1 wheel base broke and isn’t able to be fixed either. It started failing during the start up process and I’m pretty sure a motor is toast. It was used hard and I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did as many Nurburgring laps as I put on it. My Porsche GT 2 Xbox 360 wheel still works great(10 years later). The clutch spring on my CSL elite pedals disintegrated and needed repair, but the load cell brake has never failed in 10 years of hard use. All other peripherals still work except I broke the cable to the handbrake. Fanatec doesn’t list the RJ12-3.5mm cable on their website and it can’t be found for less than 20 bucks shipped. So while Fanatec has its issues, they are mid-level and desired by everyone for a reason. It is the greatest value/to quality proposition on the market since it supports console and PC, and a full setup with clutch but no shifter can be had for under 1000 dollars. I’m more interested in what Thrustmaster and Logitech will do in response to the Fanatec CSL DD as they also sell complete sets at similar prices…and thrustmaster seems to follow what Fanatec does like with the load cell brake and DD offering.
Great review production wise. As I have the csl dd upgrading to the r9 might only be a small gain for the price but I'm interested in your current opinion on the r16. The wheel is not cheap but does look like a v2 but at a better size for GT style cars.
Have a look on my channel. I have reviewed it already. It is my favourite DD.
Definitely competition is very good especially when the product works better and affordable cheaper prices 👌 than the others.
can i just put any steering wheel on a d1 spec/ nrg quick release and use it with this? or i must have a moza wheel to have working ffb?
I came across the Fan boys when selling off my Fanatec gear on Facebook, CSL dd 8 Nm, V3 pedals, club sport v2.5. I had a bad experience with a fault on a BMW wheel and as a early CSL dd user had to endure constant configuration issues. The product was in my opinion was prematurely released to
market. As I race for fun and can’t be arsed with constant issues I sold out of their eco system. Some people are blind and their reaction to well presented criticism was shocking. I’m very glad they have some competition in the sub 400 euro market; it can only be good news in the long term, because DD is a huge game changer.
Need to consider the wheels as well as the base. If they cannot interchange, the Moza wheels are can be a bit more expensive. Thanks for your review. I had no idea this company even existed. I am in the market for a DD config and currently looking at options.
If the cost of the wheels has you concerned fear not as Moza are currently developing cheaper wheels to be released very soon. They are also making new pedals that will be more affordable too, though I'd say the current pedals they have are outstanding. Not to mention along with the new wheels they will be releasing their quick release as a separate item so third party wheels can be mounted. So if you're shopping around, just hang tight for a lil bit as Moza have alot more coming
@@CoyoteRacing hey there. Thanks so much for responding so quickly. Fanatec has a lead time of about 4-6 months taking orders in advance. Not a fan of that. Monza seemed to be 3 days out. The base looks great. If they come up with a D shape wheel in the 250 range I may be placing an order. Already have a set of V3's and can't compliment enough about them. Definitely took a load of time off my laps as could not get the feel of trail braking down my old setup. Subscribed!
Is this car in the RSS GTN pack 'Ferruccio 36 V8'? I would like to try this when my R9 arrived, hopefully next week
excellent review love the piss take, well done very proffessional made me lafff out loud!!!
This looks a great bit of kit. As a VR user the phone app looks a real selling point. Makes changing something far easier then having to come out of vr or remove the headset and look on screen. A quick glance under the headset to your phone and a change can be made. i'd use it all the time, Do I cancel my csl dd order for this? im super tempted!
That's actually a very good point, I'd never thought about the app for VR users
10:09 this pricing seems to be misleading... where can I get the R9 for 400€? Aren't you missing tax/import charges?
Great to see someone new as it will open the market coming from the g29 and waiting on the covid tax affecting the markets and demand
Would you have a link to a supplier in the UK
Im the UK distributor at Abruzzi Racewear. If you would like any more information feel free to contact us on Fb etc and we can help.
Bro your hilarious!! But I was wondering if you can put a fatech wheel on the moza r9 rig???
One thing I was hoping you might speak to, and when you get the Fanatec DD pro which is compatible with PlayStation console…will you be able to use the Moza DD with PlayStation?
They want $500 US for their Rims…well and unless they’ve addressed the significant amount of flex with their rims…the dampening effect with so much flex is problematic imho. It will be interesting to see how they hold out long term and what the customer service is like..shipping back to China for repairs even if there is warranty…would be very expensive.
Website is a little glitchy when navigating on your phone (iPhone 11 max pro), especially trying to get to the checkout…won’t allow you to scroll down to hit the checkout button.
So for PS compatibility you just need a small hub, You will see reviews of these soon im sure!
Their rims currently are all high end rims, very high quality, well made and dont have the flex seen in the pre production units. This GS wheel is solid it has 5mm Forged Carbon so its really going nowhere!
Regarding servicing etc its quite simple really, you just buy from the local distributor and then you have someone local when there are any issues. Personally im the UK distributor so we handle everything over here if there are problems. Im told there are a few in NA but im yet to know the names. im from Abruzzi Racewear in the UK so if i can help please drop us a message and we can find the local distributor to you.

Hey Corey, I'm currently considering the R21 but I'm concerned about software, warranty, RMA process, customer support, longevity, etc.
Have you any experience with Moza's support team (outside of the UA-cam stuff. I know companies like to prioritise content creators so this could effect things)?
I've spoken to a few people who were ignored by Moza's support team for days or weeks on end, with their messages being left on read, and this is rather concerning.
If it's that difficult to get a hold of them, then it must be a pain to RMA something.
Have you had any hardware related issues since receiving your production model R16?
Hi,
I'm currently using a TM T300RS with F1 mod wheel (280mm). I'm thinking about purchasing the Moza R9 and GS wheel (300mm). I had a Fanatec formula wheel in the hands (270mm) which felt really smaller than my TM F1. I'm afraid the GS would feel too big...
Am I right or wrong, how to know before purchasing?
Thanks in advance for your answer.

Can I use my MOZA Racing gear on my Xbox or PS?
The products we offer are currently only compatible with Windows PCs. Mac OS, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X is not currently supported
Product looks decent. It's a great time for simracers. Lots of competition. My one worry with this is their wheels are very expensive....puts the package back up to around £900. If they could come up with a mid range , £250 wheel to go with this it would be a killer deal.
Hey revey. That's what is coming next. They are working on the more budget friendly wheels
@@CoyoteRacing good to hear. I'm looking to upgrade from my t300 at the end of this year. By then there should be more products to choose from and even the TM DD should have broken cover. It's never easy choosing how to spend money but the options are sure looking better.

I welcome every new brand who enters simracing equipment market. Wheelbases, wheels, pedals,... Fanatec DD 0.5 is actually a marketing masterpiece, but the device itself is a little disappointing. Why marketing masterpiece? If you add boost kit, wheel rim, not plastic QR, you are in 1000 EUR range. If I was buying "Entry DD" now, I would go with Simagic 10 or Moza R9 and their wheels, price would be in the same range, and would be in the long term probably more happy. DD 0.5 has a peak 8nm, which is fine for kerbs, bump, texture of the road,... But the holding force in the long corners is very weak. And a lot of people who bought DD 0.5 experience a lot of problems. Most common are sudden jolts, which Fanatec is silent about. Simagic had a lot of problems with their pre-production wheelbases and early drivers. As I talk to people who own SiMagic, drivers have come a long way. Moza drivers were a mess when they released R16. In some sims FFB was either very weak, acted like a simple centering spring or just didn't work. I don't know anyone with R16 or R9, but I would guess they polished their drivers too.
so many complaints about the wheel price but i mean look at them. Highest quality imo. Compared to fanatec no mattter what package, youll get in the same ballpark price within a few hundred dollars. Question is, do you want a cheap plastic rim that will crack or some insurance that you can drive hard for years youll want to spend the few hundred extra dollars.
Honestly you can t compare this to the dd from fanatec since you can get base wheel and pedals for around 700€ from fanatec while a MOZA wheel and pedals is another 500€ each. Plus shipping to EU 274€ with DHL
We can actually due to moza are currently developing more budget friendly options that will be released soon. Right now we can only compare the base as that is what we have. But cheaper pedals and wheels are coming soon
This base has a very good price but what I really don't like about moza is that you need to spend more than what the base cost for the steering wheel unlike buying a csl dd + mclaren gt3 wheel/csl wrc wheel
In the pinned comment I explain that Moza are currently making cheaper and more budget friendly wheel which will be released very soon
@@CoyoteRacing Oh that's very good! hopefully it will be as cheap as the mclaren gt3 wheel from fanatec
The one thing that is very close to getting me to cancel my csl dd order is the fact that i can only use their rims. I'm a very big diy guy and want to make my own button boxes/ rim button boxes.
Very soon in the future moza will be releasing their quick release separate. A bit like the Podium Hub and I've heard (not confirmed) but I've heard that cube controls wheels work on moza.
it's great to have more low price dd. nice for simracer. so when you compare price, pls compare with wheel. R9+F1 wheel (GS steering wheel) + shipping 1 098,91€ (1206$) in france - CSL DD 8NM +F1 wheel (clubsport steering wheel formula V2.5) + shipping in france 855€. so, it's not really right to say R9 is cheaper.
They really need a budget wheel to make sure the R9 can attract consumers

I thought that beating the CSL DD was going to take at least 10 years!!?
Don't get too excited, if I were to bet what company is still going to be in business in 10 years I would not bet on MOZA, I'll stick with Fanatec for now thank you :)
@@PoltergeistWorks why
@@PoltergeistWorks moza has been around for years making other equipment not a new company
Capable with Gran turismo 7?
this is amazing to see to be honest,
Especially with the price increase in fanatec stuff, i can see moza being the most second go to realistically.
but its says review at the headline...
Can you use aftermarket NRG style QR?
The wheel base of the Moza is currently cheaper, but the Wheels are SO MUCH more expensive then Fanatecs. And have just one Wheel, ie no variety...
Please check the pinned comment. Moza are working on more budget wheels
As a Fanetc CSR Elite Forza owner...the CSL DD was a game changer...but hub was POS and 8nooner price was stupid. NOW this R9 is an even more of a game changer! It solves all the issues Fanatec had. The new GS wheel is WAY better than Fanatec's ridiculous money grab $1400 Podium BMW M$ GT3 wheel!
Yeah e Fanatec podium series of wheels is pretty insane 😳…I look at those prices and just want to throw up 🤮! Lol
Fanatec must be punished for pushing an absolute joke of a "boost kit" for dd...
in two years we will not even remember who is moza. did you try simagic alpha mini?
Yeah. Its No where near as good unfortunate.
@@CoyoteRacing You think the Alpha Mini is the inferior product? How come?
@@CoyoteRacing interesting you say this did you not like the alpha mini compared to the r9?
Surely they can only properly take on fanatec if they natively compatible with console products as that market is massive now
You can use something called Drivehub which works with consoles and makes these wheel bases compatible
@@CoyoteRacing yes but it’s something else have to buy and it will only read the wheel as a g29 etc. experience won’t be the same. What it would be is to be natively compatible for this to really compete. Would be great I have competition though
@@gb_uk2308 worry not as Moza are aware of this and are currently developing a module and I believe acquiring licenses for consoles
@@CoyoteRacing if they do then fantastic. Was considering a DD wheel for my ps5 this year so will see what happens
I love how the R9 has gained £100 in price over the last few months
Dislocated thumb? Wow. As someone who is looking to build their first rig and has a 8 year old who will also want to use the rig I think this might be the safer bet.
never even heard of moza before today I bought a logitech g920 for farming simulator and then started seeing a lot of people talking about the fanatec dd pro and I bought that litterly two days after receiving my Logitech weel and I have been using it sense wich.. well has been a week so far as I just got it sorta wish I knew of moza sooner I would have waited to save a few dollars for something that has an extra nm of torque and didn't have to pay almost 200 for a boost kit to get the full 8nm heh
Now they need to release a low cost wheel to go with the great looking r9!
It's coming
and low cost pedals
@@ninexf both are coming :)
@@benllewellyn1888 But coming doesn’t help people deciding what to get now 🤔…
@@TooManyChoices1 yeah i get that, they cant release everything at once though, Remember fanatec has been around years to get their range to where it is now. Moza only 6 months. They will get there, it just wont be overnight.
Where are you from?
Question is R9 or R16.
I don’t understand why folks do this whole “oh well it’s not my brand so I hate it” bs
Seriously.
Competition between companies is good for them!
Think Saga and Nintendo back in the 90’s
Sony and Microsoft in the early 2000’s
Seriously companies GROW through competition.
But people “it not brand? I NO LIKE!”
After seeing this review I may need to rethink what I purchase for myself…
Moza looks very promising and I cannot wait to see where they go!
Also the outro music is a pure vibe and I’d love to add it to my playlist
pyxis by Home
@@CoyoteRacing ahh thank you much my friend!
Is this compatible with PS5
Not compatible with PS5, so not a competitor for the CSL DD at all
You can use an adapter for the R9 so you can use it on the Playstation. Also the PS compatible Fanatec dd pro is a whole 100 - 300 euros more expensive. So yes, the R9 is most definitely a competitor.
hands off protection will basically save you that extra ££ for the killswitch lol
Now they just need an h-shifter and I'm all in.
But from Russia it is bad? (at the moment?)
well all they need to do is make one for consoles and have better and equal customer service then fanatec. What I mean by equal is respond to any customer within a reasonable time fanatec takes months to respond to americans while everyone else a couple of days
Can’t believe I bought the CSLDD, seems clear light and day which one is better in my eyes🤣
hope you enjoy the rest of the video
I'm also kinda regretting getting the csl dd now, I feel kind of dumb for it
It's always the same if you can't pay, something new comes out
Its not like u can sell it without much loss
Just compare the trash quickrelease on fanatec with this here...
Shame the products are very nice. But steep price in delivering costs.
Great review made me order one through abruzzi uk 😀
moza would be s teir if it had console support aswell, i doubt it for long though
I want one!!!!!!❤
Can you use other rims on it or is it Moza only rims?
If you get the Moza QR you can use other rims on the bases
@@CoyoteRacing ahh nice! Im really thinking about getting back into sim racing after a long time out. The Moza stuff looks great and cheaper then the other brands. I would like to be able use rims from brands like cube controls etc. Some time in the future though.
Hope it bette then DD pro
Fanatec is heavily overprized but they mask the poor quality with a lot of bling to compensate the idiotic high prizes. Seems like Moza takes on competition by setting realistic price tags.
Is this a PC wheel only or does it work with consoles??
At the moment it is PC only but Moza are currently Doing something thats is hinting towards consoles so stay tuned
Ive been using the R9 in the Uk distributor office here at abruzzi with Ps5 for the last two days. It uses an adapter thats third party but it works great! We will be stocking the adapter in the UK aswell.
Good points but Fanatec Will stay King because PS/XBOX/PC
Is it possible to use other rims with the Moza wheelbase?
Great video btw! Clearly lots of work went into it.
Yes. If u look on the Moza website they now sell a quick release so u can mount other wheels
@@CoyoteRacing Perfect thank you!
Sadly none of this stuff comes to South Africa. :(
It will. Give moza a lil bit of time. Got to remember they have only been public and operational for 6 months
At abruzzi we can ship to South Africa, already sent a number of items over there for customers. Simagics and moza :)
for a chinese company the products are too mutch expensive but looks great
