Every single time I watch Nathaniel play, I want to quit and sell my entire stable of guitars and gear. LOL, he's so talented and unassuming, gotta really huge amount of respect and errrr jealousy. Thanks CME, awesome as always. Thanks Nathaniel
I think you guys should notate the exact guitar(s) used by Nathaniel on your site during this series. I’d buy that squier lol. Having an instrument played by him adds a lot of mojo and story. Might not be commercially “famous” but he definitely is in the musician/guitar community. Cool series
What planet did you say Nathaniel is from? Definitely otherworldly! Dammit sir, you are a phenomenal person! Use your powers for good and not evil! 👍🇦🇺
@@chicagomusicexchange I really loved the Squier segment. There are so many of us who have no business trying to play a $5K -$10k instrument, it’s motivating to see what can be done with a good, inexpensive guitar if you work hard.
When you went for the Gretsch, I couldn't help but notice that CME has an Eastman SB59/v with the custom Lollars. Hopefully next time you take her for a spin.
@chicagomusicexchange Actually, thank you. I recently purchased one of your player series jazzmasters, and I'm beyond impressed with the quality of that instrument, and the pacific peach is just the coolest color. It's currently my favorite guitar.
my wife and i were playing that exact tele last weekend in the store and we both had similar great things to say about it. maybe someday i’ll pull the trigger on one just like it but not in the budget currently
Great content Nate! Seems you can't play anything wrong. Love the beginning of the series. I wish I could just walk around a guitar store all day and play whatever I wanted. I guess for some, dream do come true. What about a vintage episode in the future? And then an amp episode. Then Cheap vs. expensive. All kinds of idea with that sort of inventory. Keep it up. You have us all hooked already.
I’ve rocked out for 45 years had my guitar heroes evolve from Ace Frehley to Slash to Zakk Wylde back to Jimmy Page and Hendrix , lol.. but Nathaniel always blows my mind like nobody I’ve ever seen aside from Roy Clark. And that’s called maturing I think 🤘😂👍 but seriously tho Nathaniel your picking rules more than can be described!!!
Hi Nathaniel, you know what would be helpful when you present any Guitar before the camera is to actually explain why that Guitar is priced at $$$ because, as a customer who has walked into countless Music stores across Europe the Guitar sales dudes will demonstrate how well they themselves can play a guitar but seldom why that guitar is one that a particular customer might like to consider based on what they explain they want from a Guitar and their budget including things like weight, durability, colour, quality, maintenance costs, collectability, depreciation. Cheers mate and have a great day.
You have a free technique of playing with your right hand (easy with a mediator and fingers)... I'm not good at it with my fingers, maybe you can show some exercise? Thank you. 🤝
I know this probably makes me a cheapskate but I wish Epiphone would make a ‘56 Goldtop in the same vein as their newly released ‘59s. Can anyone tell me if the previously released versions from 10+ years ago any good (the Korean ones)?
@@sid35gb yeh true. Tokai apparently make a good LP but I’ve never played one. I’m not liking the fact that Epiphone are still using laurel fretboards on their $1000+ guitars, not good value considering other brands like fender and sire use rosewood on much cheaper guitars.
@@chaz__ I wouldn’t get too hung up about wood. It’s how it feels in the hand that ultimately makes the difference. The Epiphones just don’t have the build quality frets issue seem to be a common one. Also the headstock angle is not the same. Playability is the real deal breaker above everything else.
@@sid35gb Sure, but if you're marketing your products online, the first thing is appearance. It would be good if they used darker laurel or even stained it to look somewhat darker. I wouldn't mind if fender (amongst other brands) were still using laurel, but fender have now set a precedent releasing a budget guitar with a previously banned wood in Indian Rosewood (Brazilian RW still prohibited). I suppose it isn't too difficult to darken in yourself but it's the principle in it being a $1000+ (nearly $2k in some instances) guitar. We need to demand better value from the bigger brands because the budget brands are getting better every year.
Sorry Nathaniel, I have played tons of Squire's (worked at G.C. years back) and never liked any of them. Just my Personal preference though. Anyway, I think you could make any guitar sound great. My choice of guitar to play, would have been that three tone Fender custom shop right behind you. Now that's a beauty! You would NEVER see that sitting around at G.C. Sadly, in all my years I have only gotten to play a few Fender custom shop guitars as they are hardly ever available in any of the stores I frequent here in Washington State. Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.

Just casually picks up the Jackson and rips Technical Difficulties like another Thursday on the job
Technical Difficulties was NOT something I thought Nathaniel was going to play. This is nuts.
Paul would have been proud!
Which guitar did he play it on?
@@disco4535 The Jackson at the end of the video
He s the ultimate guitar seller
Nathaniel is the living proof that tone is in fact in one’s hands. He can make anything sound fantastic!
He's so good, that I'm no longer even excited by the perfection.
Give him what he wants. He’s such a great player he is unmissable.

That's a great idea! 👀
This video reminded me of two things. 1) I love Gretsches 2) I should have practiced more. Love this.
Is there anything this guy can't play ???!!! Unreal!!!!
He’s so freaking good. Unreal he could play a comb and it would sound great.
I would sound the same on each of those guitars - Nathan can play to the genres best suited for the guitar!
I like this series and want to see more.
You got it!! 🤘🤘
What planet did you say Nathaniel is from?

Is there any style or genre that NATHANIEL can’t play?
The man is AMAZING!
Well done CME!!!

Really awesome! I love the new series.
Thanks! We will be doing more. What do you want to see Nathaniel play?

Holy! Technical Difficulties! Yea!! Give us more of those :)
He blows my mind with his playing… and broke out a Racer X?!?! Amazing

Technical Difficulties!! Would like to see a Suhr plugged in. I have one ordered through CME can’t wait for it to arrive!
We can do a Suhr!
Thought when he said, “who’s your favourite Goldtop player, let’s Check it Out! “ we were going to get some Sean Costello.
Love my P90 Goldtop!
A non-reverse Firebird is always so tasty and great sounding IMHO…
Agreed! 🤘🤘
My favorite goldtop player?
Neil Young.
But that ‘56 is my dream LP 🙌
Yesss!
Thanks Nathaniel now everybody knows there is NO NEED to spend more than $500 to get a really great sounding guitar!!
I was in on Friday and there was a Reverend AirSonic in green I’d love to hear put through the paces.
LOve your work NM -cmon UNITED!

Playing on the Bacci you make me think I was listening to “Bootsy”!!!!
What a great 12-string! What a not-so-great price!

This was fun to watch. Please play a Music Man guitar next time.
They squier tele is a no brainer, great guitar at a great price
That gold top slayed all!
Jam on a Gretch “Golden Falcon”, & give us your best Billy Duffy doing “She Sells Sanctuary”. You’d probably play it better too! Love it man!!!

Yes... yes you do
That squier tele with the right amp and you never know the difference
Sick Racers X licks!! awesome dude!! \m/
He played the squire the longest. Its not all about the price!
Enlightening and depressing all at the same time! LOL

That`s my dream; one day in a shop like this, buying a guitar.
Play a Tom Anderson. They're so impeccably made.
Who’s your favorite gold top player? Why, Nathaniel of course!
You should shop with a goal, find all the guitars that do one specific thing and play them
We could try that! Maybe specific genres or styles. What would you want to see?

Chicago Music Exchange!!
I'm only listening to his next decaffeinated solo if he pronounces his name " Nathaninanynanyule "

But, he doesn't own a Les Paul? How is that possible?

The trick with squires is to rub the neck with #400-500 grit sandpaper to rough up the poly finish.
Yep...I agree!!
This might be a dumb question but is this store in Chicago or is it just the name?
I think it is, just commenting because i want to know for sure
Yup! Located in Chicago.
Can we please get him a tuner pedal for the next one
We probably have one laying around lol
Good news that we didn't spend 16 minutes tuning!
$6K+ for the Firebird 12?
I need to convince alot more parents that their kids need braces!
Throw that prs in the trash can
I am gonna sell all my guitars after this video….
Dickie Betts
The only good les paul is the custom with Ebony fretboard others are ordinary and go out of tune
Like shoe shopping with the ladies. Ugh... #Hawaii50 Theme Song in the background.
It seems that the current place (once cult characters) of guitarists is to advertise instruments. It's sad. (((
