- This week I'm beginning a reaction series for the television show LOST which, somehow, I've never seen. Come along with me for what will undoubtedly be a wild journey.

I'm definitely doing my best to avoid spoilers. I've even learned that I have to avoid reading the small description blurb that's there when you pull up a new episode. When I pulled up episode two, it was like "after finding out that Kate was the prisoner...." and I was like "oh come on...you've gotta be kidding me."
Alright a stupid spoiler woman on here and it’s episode 1. People are just too thick these days

Welcome to the Lost Universe! I've watched probably 40+ reactors to just this show and believe our job as commenters is to solely comment on what you have already seen, and then possibly your comments after the episode that would not spoil anything going forward. You should be able to see this as fresh as possible to what we did while discussing the intricacies that are bulit into any show. So this will be my only comment on the future.
Everyone does not HATE the way the showrunners ran it to the end, there are some that have chosen not to try to accept what it was. In my opinion, about 1/3 loved the way it ends, about 1/3 didn't get it at first and rewatched/read articles etc and then love the way it ends (I'm in this group), and about 1/3 didn't get it and didn't care enough to understand it, so they trash it hard.
Of the reactors, almost all of them have gotten it that I've watched, hopefully it will strike a chord with you as it has done with literally millions of fans. Enjoy the entire ride!
Thank you for being so understanding about not putting any spoilers out there. I'm definitely in it for the long haul, so I'm interested to see how evolves and how they choose to wrap everything up. It has to be incredibly difficult to figure out how to end a show like this with such a huge and devoted audience. No matter what you do, there's going to be a large portion who are going to armchair quarterback it and complain about how differently they would have written it.
Welcome to an amazing journey! The last 3 seasons are my favourites...LOST just gets better and better as it goes on, imo.

This is cool. I just found you, and am enjoying your personality. I love Lost, so really look forward to catching up with your vids.
You'll see and hear that the public either loves it or hates it. I'll say this.. with the attentiveness I see in you here, you'll prob grasp the complexity of it well. Then, I know, you're heart will love it. As it takes both brain and heart to totally get it.😊 Tons didn't get Lost only because they simply weren't listening. I promise. It is a puzzle. A really beautiful one. 🥂 Ps. You may, at some point, wanna start pouring a drink before you come into the comments. Fans can sometimes be a little.. over excited. After reading them for a few years, I know I sure would😂

I JUST found your channel and subscribed for LOST. LOST is an awesome show. Since you are just starting your reaction channel, I would advice to do one or two shows, finish them, and then move on. Don't take on many shows at once, I have seem many reactors start multiple shows and get burnt out and quit before finishing them. I would also suggest you reach out to other LOST reactors and ask them to tell their audience about you. Welcome to the island :)
Thanks for the support. I plan to be into this show for the long haul....I know a lot of people dislike the direction things take towards the end, but I figure even if I wind up feeling that way, that still makes for entertaining reactions. I did start recording reactions for Mr Mercedes but haven't gotten any of that edited. In general (even in shows I'm watching just for myself) I don't like to have too many open stories that I'm trying to follow, so I probably won't be doing any other shows until I wrap one of these up.
@@OldBeardedGuyReacts The show is intricate and ahead of its time. You have to pay attention to every detail as answers are not spoon fed. Back when it aired yearly, a lot of people were watching casually and therefore might have missed things. I watched the show countless times and discover new things each time. The bad reputation for the latter seasons is unwarranted in my opinion.
Good to know. Like I said, I'm pretty much onboard either way. I'm excited to see where it goes.
Just Found your LOST reaction... I see a comment for Patreon and I think its totally worth it especially for Lost since it has alot of important moments and hard to cut down for UA-cam. I promise Lost fans will find you and I would guess alot would pay.

Totally understandable. I don't know the process only thought it would be alot less work since it would require little to no editing and could even provide early access. I'll be staying around anyway and just finished all 6 of your episodes.

Hi - just discovered your channel due to a fellow Lostie mentioning you in the comments section of another Lost reactors post, and I'm very happy they did. Subbing for more Lost. I think if you keep an open mind and pay close attention to details (and it appears that you do), you will enjoy it. Tbh, the last 3 seasons are my favorites, although I do enjoy the entire journey. It's interesting that a lot of people have commented about how much they enjoy the later seasons...when I originally told some people I was going to watch Lost for the first time, almost all of them said "do yourself a favor. Watch the first three seasons and then just pretend that it got cancelled because after that it's awful." Now I'm starting to be really curious about what side of the fence I'm going to be on by the end.
@@OldBeardedGuyReactsWow, that's not true at all. Seasons 4,5 and 6 are amazing! Stick with it. You will not be disappointed.
Just gonna say I loved this show and it's the FIRST 2 seasons that drag a little as the writers find their footings, the later seasons are great. I get that some people dislike the finale but personally I loved it.
Also, in tropical zones the rain starts and stops a lot.

The general among people who have responded seems to be that the later seasons are great...which is kind of a relief since it would suck a lot to have to sit and record reactions to a show long after I thought that it stopped being good. I'm kind of anticipating that even if I dislike the ending in the moment, it might be one that might feel better to me the longer I have to look back on it.
@OldBeardedGuyReacts I usually equate the show to "Indiana Jones" the series even if that's not quite accurate. They definitely try to blend every genre in there - successfully IMO. But at the end of the day it's an emotional show, get attached to these people. The music is the best thing going for it.

Thanks for the sub! The first episode was literally like the 3rd thing I ever recorded/edited a reaction to...so my first few episodes are a bit clunky. If you liked those AT ALL, I promise that they get better as I go along.

Thanks for checking my stuff out. Patreon is a possibility in the future...but right now, with less than 30 subscribers, it feels like setting it up would pull a lot of effort away from my current recording/editing for very little upside...but in the future it's definitely in the plans.

Yep, Season 5 is mind-blowing!
I live in the subtropics. Rain starts and stops like that sometimes. Also, sometimes it will rain on one block and you will see the line where the rain stops. We have a saying about avoiding going out it the rain. "Just wait 15 minutes."
What we find more annoying is that northern drizzle drizzle business. My first time up north it took me an hour to figure out that was actual rain. I kept waiting for it to pour.
Lost might be exaggerating that natural phenomenon.

Hopefully your other viewers keep you as spoiler-free as possible! I'm someone who did like the ending and the vast majority of the series so will be curious what you think. Enjoy!
So far everyone has been super cool about that. I've had more problems trying to Google images for thumbnails than I've had from anyone on here.
The island in the show is supposed to be in the Pacific, but I have been to the Caribbean many times and Hawaii once. The rain really can come and go real quick just like that... I started with your Walkabout reaction and am kind of backfilling them in right now.
I actually lived in the Philippines when I was a kid and I definitely remember how crazy the weather could be. Especially in monsoon season. I think the best example of what has weirded me out about the weather is the scene where Walt's dad is like "I'm gonna find your dog as soon as this rain stops"....and then it IMMEDIATELY shuts off. When I see that sort of thing, it makes my brain go "pay attention to that. You're not supposed to see that as a coincidence"

Welcome to the Island! Can you make Lost audio louder, please? When your voice is on a good level the original audio is almost non existent. When I make Lost audio laud enough - then you're too laud.
Hmmm....I'm not sure how that happened. I will say that it was a few months ago when I edited this one, so hopefully that issue isn't there in newer episodes.
Rob zombie 31 check it out it's very good
It's the only Rob Zombie film I haven't seen yet and, with the exception of "Lords Of Salem", I've loved everything he's done, So I will definitely wind up watching it.
