Great little reel. Got a few of them, none has ever had an issue even with saltwater use. Will accept spools off different Shimano reels so the look of the reel can be changed and diff weight lines can be kept on hand as well. Put one on a Dock Runner rod to keep in the car in case the urge to wet a line for a fun fishing experience comes along.
I have a Sedona 4000FA that I like a lot. Smooth is definitely the word that describes these reels. I’ve used mine for back bay and inshore fishing as well as some pier fishing before. I love it that it has an AR override. If there was a larger saltwater version of this reel I would love it. These reels are a joy to use! - Chris
Hello Dennis . . . Having you think this fishing reel is to your liking I am going to keep a eye out looking for one - of you taking it apart for service it appears to be some what complicated yet so are most of the fishing reels in todays market - gone are the simple take apart repairs in yesterday's fishing reels - how would describe that in your own words - good video !

Yes they are. I use mine a lot

Thanks for sharing. I just finished a Sahara 4000 and will be posting that video later this week. Thanks Chris

Unnecessarily complicated and over engineered comes to mind for what I call pond reels. The older, straightforward reels are certainly up to the task.
I nearly exclusively come here for Shimano freshwater reels. Still haven’t seen the Sahara series yet patiently waiting.
Thanks - I recently did the Sahara 4000. I will see if I can post that this week. - Dennis
