Me: Ordering a coke without ice to have more coke to drink
Me: hesitating to ask for the full can of 7-up because they give you like 2 sips worth.
Which doesn't always work out. Many places with syrup and not bottles have a button with a programmed amount, so you get the same amount of coke regardless of ice or not.
@Sir We Are About to Die Erhm, I am too used to just get a can of soda when I ask for soda on a flight, so didn't think that this was in regards to drinks on a flight, but more in general. Sorry! :)

Just used AA miles to fly Etihad First Apartment (AUH - ICN) thanks to a tip from TPG. Best use of miles I've made to date. Love these, "All classes in a single filght," style reviews. Thanks for all the information you have provided over the years, encouraging people to travel more :)

Sam Chui: i got asked to come fly on a privet Boeing 747 mend for kings and presidents.
Yep, noticed same thing.I recently flew etihad apartment and was told off for fliming. Not pleseant. Seems they only let you film if you are a Sam Chui type or points guy person.
@@nicotuoze the thing is people like Sam or the lads here will most likely ask permission from the company when booking. When granted you can film all you want. (it's not really that hard to get one).
@@nicotuoze it has more to do with other fellow passengers. There can be people on board that absolutely don't want to be filmed for there security. When you request to be allowed to film they will make sure that a person likes that will be at the other side of the airplane or even take a different route.
@@nicotuoze I read what you are saying but I am also trying to look in to the reason. even more if you say it's only at the apartments and residence. it's clear that there is a reason why. I don't know what the only thing is when you are filming (even if you only intend on filming yourself) your camera will also record stuff in the background. in the residence suites high officials also make use of them. if you per accident film them (not even knowing yourself who they are) and post that video online you may film someone that is not to be seen do to safety.
The suites are the best for that because when you use those seats you don't see much who is in who unless shown but walking by when one of the door just go open may be enough for someone that does know to use it.
when you ask permission those people that are sensitive to been seen will be notified before hand. they will ether fly a other plain or they will make sure that they are never outside there suite when your door is open or you are out.

So, what I figured out by watching this video: If you are flying with a group of 4-6 people, everyone splits the price of the apartment or residence ticket and then buys just economy class tickets. Once airborne, everyone just meets in the apartment!
Everyone should get premium or business and do this because you can’t share the food or bed in the apartment.
Best collab I’ve ever seen between TPG US and UK.
You guys should do more contents like this next time. My suggestion: *First Class Battle Between Emirates, Etihad & Qatar Airways.*

Just flew Etihad business from Bangkok to London,good service and reasonably priced,normally fly this route BA or Eva Air direct for a lot more money,but the stopover in Abu Dhabi was quick and easy,will definitely fly this route with Etihad again.

Excellent trip report! The private room at the lounge looked pretty nice. The plane was new and modern, cabin was beautiful with moodlighting. Etihad seems to have a very good service

My partner and I flew the Residence from London to Abu Dhabi and then to Sydney almost two years ago. Such an amazing experience. Hope they bring the service back. I'd definitely do it again once the covid rubbish is all over.

Full flat bed in upper class is great and that’s what we mostly pay for but if you can get economy seat with no one next to you on both side, that’s the bargain. I haven’t had that for long time now. For some reasons I always pick full flight even though it’s not the peak season.

I've flown with both etihad and Qatar! They're both amazing! I found Qatar service on board to be slightly better, then again Etihad A380 economy seats are more comfortable to sleep on due to the edge on the headrest. All in all I'd choose Etihad! I love flying Etihad's Apartments, the hard product is great and the staff at the pointy end are my favourites - even their boarding music is on my phone with a 5 star rating - haven't been lucky enough to score the Residence yet.
Now, being over 6' myself I was interested in your note that the room was able to fit a 6'+ man and two small women... is that an unadvertised benefit on all routes?

Thats the best 4som video you guys have done yet!! HUGE well done :) The male crew member at the door in the white gloves was on my Etihad 1st class flight to Bombay a few years back and was a real meanie - told me I wasn't allowed to vlog. I am going to miss the A380 when airlines retire the planes. I miss the "lounge" of A380 when I flew Qatar's A350 Qsuites.
to be honest i think for them this might have been one of the most fun flights they have had as a group... if u look at them they are all extremely enjoying themselves in the apartment and residence, and the crew is also super nice and up for a lot of banter... ik that myself, i personally love etihad, although their older planes arent the best, the crew almost always makes up for it, and since i live an hour away from abu dhabi, i prefer flying with them over emirates... the crew is just nicer :P

lol, i know some people don't like nicky, lmao but the guy is funny to me, xD he's enjoying himself, man. i like that. i was impressed with signapore airline's economy class, still the best one i've seen but etihad's isn't far behind either. the food in economy class reminds me of air jamaica. the food was _always_ great. we even got champagne in economy class.
