Nice job you guys!! Before I moved here as a teen I had also heard it wasn’t a good place to live…I felt like I was moving to the end of the earth. After being here for about a month I had fallen in love with it. Just like your friend, I too wanted to raise my kids here. Now I have grandchildren here and I’m so thankful they are in Franklin. God has blessed our little town in so many ways!
You drove past 11 restaurants in total. You missed the historic homes too. They're in the neighborhood behind the Bank and Gulf gas. 1800s homes and a few of us still have carriage houses on our properties. There's also a huge equestrian center. the park on the banks of the Chattahoochee has picnic tables, a playground, and a skate park.
And the high school has students from all over the County which is over 300 square miles. So we actually have a lot of students. Same goes for the middle and elementary schools.
This looks like home to me.....I am ftom Slapout, Alabama (sort of).....Slapout was way smaller though.....we lived 8 miles back in woods from Slapout out past "Beat 14"...."no mail".....had to go to Deatsville,Al to get mail
@@Crazytraveladdicts nahhh....it's growed up now....not the same..... go to Pavo, Ga.... or Barwick, Ga...... Morven, Ga.... you're in a great area now where y'all are filming.....where I live was established 1790 and there is nothing left (nothing here to see...gone...everything)
@@Crazytraveladdicts a neat place for y'all to go someday is Boston, Georgia.... they loaded up the town in 1836 and moved it (buildings too)....on old highway there are city limit signs "old Boston" but no town just a couple houses but it's BEAUTIFUL....you can see where the huge trees lined the old wagon road and grew to canopy....and the dirt road crossing that road is the old major highway from up north(ohio, etc) to down south (Florida)....there are pictures of wagons on these roads early 1900's... the story is fascinating...moved a town??with horses???who could do that today??original church that was moved still standing....yup
@@Crazytraveladdicts I could probably find some pictures I took of old Boston road (now named "Sally Road") with the 7 ft diameter oaks and 1942(wartime) bridges(concreted over the wood under-pinnings and still there today) and stuff but can't find email (but I don't blame you for hiding it)
My husband has been wanting to start a channel for a couple of years now because we love to travel, especially road-trips. We finally decided to pull the trigger. Hopefully we will continue to learn, grow and keep people interested in watching our videos 😊
Ive heard that Franklin ga is owned mostly by the cheeks family. Which happens to be a huge family. Which happens to be related to me. My 73 year old uncle are giving us a run down of the property we own.
I’ve seen a few of these videos on small towns. They look like my home town of Falmouth Kentucky. A flood destroyed most of the town in 1997 and the town just never came back from that!
