Great idea! I’d like to see the difference between all of the cups with the same color pallet to see what cups look like what. 💕

Wow, the resin on that board came out sooo pretty. I wish resin didn't change quite so much sometimes tho because it often looks more amazing when first poured. I have seen those pouring jugs used with paint pouring before but never with resin. They give great results. What did your relative think of the dominoes you made for them Steve? Thanks for a great video. God bless you and all your loved ones.

I think these turned out pretty well. You're probably right about waiting a bit longer until the resin starts getting warm. Maybe if you wait about as long as you would for a bloom (maybe a tiny bit longer for a more gel state) it would keep the colors more separate. Might even give you a interesting effect to coat your board in a bit of clear too. Could be interesting to try with one dry board and one wet to see what difference it makes. Obviously the wet board would allow the resin to spread more but how would that affect the colors? Would they all thin out or would just the edges of the color ribbons?
BTW, you can always carefully paint your negative space black with acrylic paint and then give the whole board a thin coat of clear. Might even be fun if you have a bit of rainbow ink (or diamond dust) and mix that into the topcoat. You can never have enough sparkle, right? 😘

Press cutters into that overflow while it is still soft and you can make some cute little pendants.

I swear you would think we talk about our videos and what we releasing! Just today my video has a ring pour where I layered resin something I had never done 😂……I have the jugs but not silicone. These look great for resin especially considering they are silicone. They turned out gorgeous the colours are amazing 🥰

Those came out great. The board is something you can look at for a long while. It's so interesting. I would put the word dream above it in that white area and hang it on the wall. Put the coasters underneath. neat.

Wonderful, I have seen these cups used with resin, and wondered if it actually made much of a difference, being that the resin ends up self leveling and blending. When you showed all of the divided cups, I thought you might do a comparison between them. Yes, maybe if we wait for the resin to set a bit, it might make a bigger difference once cured. Thank you for the video

Oh wow, what a stunning pour! I saw the cured board and thought: "Phoenix!" These colours are awesome! I think you could do a peacock colouring with these cups, too, maybe in a freepour bowl? Until now I only saw them used with pebeo colours and acrylic.

Hi Steve. I've never seen those cups before. They're really nice. I'm not going to get into the pouring of resin pictures, but I've seen people make some pretty pictures, as yours is. I really like the colors in yours, and I really like the white board. I think that it accents the bright colors that you used. Further down the line, I might get the four divided pour cup and make some jewelry. I think that it might make some pretty earrings. Please keep making these informational videos. They are so very helpful to people like me who are just trying to get started into this resin art craft; both UV and Epoxy. I really appreciate your tips and experiments. Thankx.

I love watching your videos. Sadly to say I'm not allowed to work with epoxy resin anymore because I'm allergic to it to the point I had to go to the hospital. I miss working with it but I have a lot of peaces I'm proud of.

It will be interesting to see how it would look if you had let the resin get a bit thicker, I hope when you do try it, you make a video so we can see the results.

I've been using these little cups for about a week now and I absolutely love love them,!! 😍 Question: I have a round wood cutting board I want to do a pour on for a gift, kind of like what you did with your board, what kind of paint would I first coat the cutting board with? Do you have any videos doing kitchen cutting boards? I absolutely love your videos! it seems every time I'm using a new product or a new tool for my resin the next thing I know you have a video showing me a better way to use it!🤣🤣 LOVE LOVE!

The resin painting is interesting, you could always do a pour around the resin or even a simple pattern like black and gold and then pour that around the resin I would pour it and tilt it a bit let it dry and do the other side.

You are the greatest behind the camera, even when you are ill. My son suffers the same right now, in Oregon! Anyway, can u use your mica with part B resin in your acrylic pouring?

    • @ChibiChula
      @ChibiChula 2 роки тому +1

I wouldn't do that simply because it would probably never set. If you want to create similar type pigment pastes for paint pouring (though I think it's a bit unnecessary since paint pours at a thinner consistency than most resins) I'd mix it with either a bit of acrylic paint base, gloss medium, mod podge, flowtrol or something similar that works with acrylic paint. Also, as a bonus, mixing pigment with linseed oil is how oil paints are made so you can experiment with those too if you want. Just don't try oil paints in acrylic pours (though it might give interesting looks to try an oil paint pour) because the drying time is vastly different.

This is called a dirty pour and people have been doing this for a few years now. Only recently have these cups started popping up on amazon, whereas before they were all hand crafted and sold by people on etsy made by 3d printing a negative of the cups then filling that with silicone to create the cups themselves. You can either pour right away to get more blending of the colors or let it thicken up to keep the colors more divided. Granted this same affect can also be done by using a small single cup and layering the colors on top of each other than poring that way.

STEVE HELP! I just threw out 15 keychains bc the resin made the photos fade immediately even though I sealed them, all sides, with mod podge. Please recommend an epoxy resin that won't do that but is as clear as glass and good with some uv exposure? (Keychains and all) thanks 😊 🙏 ☺️

I think if you'd have let the resin thicken more, it would not pour as well. I do have a 5 or 6 split cup and even tho I had equal amounts, I found the two outer spaces poured out first. 😞
