As artists through time will tell you , nothing is ever good enough , that’s why we carry on to reach perfection .
Labradorite is my favorite stone (I even have it in my engagement ring) and it is STARTLING how much these look like the real thing! The only tiny suggestion, if I might make one, is to mix some of the nail powder into the clear UV resin as well. The “flash” in labradorite goes all the way through the stone so it might add just one extra dash of magic! Still, absolutely gorgeous and if you hadn’t told me they were resin I’d have never known!
Wow, thank you 😊
I would also try to use a needle to create "scratches" with the greyish resin from the first layer, once you've added the clear resin in the middle. You've gotten an amazing result but the real scratches are often thicker and more irregular. The real labradorites also often have dark splotches. But again, amazing result, probably the best fake labradorites I've seen so far (counting resins and paintings here)
We always look at our art with a critical eye where as others look at our work and say Wow because they can’t see how we made it! Love your work! I think you have cracked it!
Thanks Anna 😊 Yes, we can be our own worst critics
Thank You for this video. You truly are amazing.
Your blowing my wallet Daniel! Lol. Love your videos. ❤❤
Sorry Amy 😂 I used same ingredients as last few vids 😁
@@daniel..cooper I know. I was just playin with ya
Loving your videos Daniel, I haven’t started making anything yet! I’m a little cautious, but a watching all of your tutorials!!
Must get started 😊
Amazing tutorial ! I absolutely love Labradorite stones (my favorite stone) and I was so happy to finally find a video with realistic results, so I made some, right away after watching your video.
I'm very glad of the results.Thank you !
Cool!! I use resin to cover jewelry pieces i make but have never used resin as the jewelry. Oh more crafting!!
I have got to get that mold! I just can’t wait to try this technique! Absolutely gorgeous! ❤❤❤
Man! Those turned out amazing! I'm very happy I found your channel! You have such great ideas. 💝
Thanks so much! 😊
Ohhh Daniel these are absolutely amazingly Beautiful ❤ I believe you have nailed it!! Can't wait to try this out. Thank you so kindly for sharing your amazing talent and videos with us all ❤ Take great care and keep creating and smiling ❤
Thank you so much Dale 😊🥰
you are one dedicated man Daniel. It is like you want to keep trying till you get ir right. lol. Nothing wrong with that. I am maybe one person in the world that doesn't know about Labradorite. So I will google it and learn more about it! Thanks for opening up my eyes to this stone. And yes the heart is my favorite one.
Thank you 😊 I'm very fussy 😂🤣
Love all your experiments, hi from South Australia
The heart and the last one are amazing 😍 I'm gonna have to give it a go now I've got my powders 😁
Thanks Linda 😊 Have fun creating 😊
Stunning labradorite ❤❤❤❤
Oh WOW they have turned out gorgeous 😍
Love the effects you have figured out. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Thanks Bob 😊 Always very welcome 😊😊😊
Very nice I wanna give it a go in some coasters maybe
This looks really great!
I would add the black out of the mould, by painting on black UV nail gel.
Labrador it's is also my favprite. But...I don't like depending my choice on either what is available or what I can afford. Being able to make my own choices in this stone is what's drawn me back to resin. Thanks, compadre. And well done.
Lovedbthem all but the last was the best. Everything in nature is not perfect...so when we try to repest it wr cannot expect perfection, but you come teally really close! 😂❤
Thanks Diane 😊
Amazing work. I love labradorite and these are brilliant. I'll be trying this soon!
WoW 😮 Daniel, they look completely amazing! Honestly your talent for art knows no bounds! Absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent with us! ❌☘️🥰
You are a maestro Daniel you really are ❤❤
Thank you 😊 🥰
A small car vac easily sucks up excess powder. No left behind clumps without disturbing that which has been rubbed in. 1 second per cavity without even touching the mold and done!
Brilliant . Just got that mold today. Can’t wait to have a try. Thanks Daniel you are inspiring 😊
Thank you 😊 Have fun creating 😊
Loving these!! I’m still dipping my toe in to resin art!
Oh. My. GAWWWSH 😍💜💖💗💖💜.. ok ok ok.. I'm gonna try this first thing in the morning..I LOVE labradorite..moonstone..amethyst.. these are my all time favorite and you just nailed it perfectly. Thank you for this Brilliantly executed resin gemstone hack 🥰
WOW, those are really cool. I love them.
Awesome work! My favorite stone and one I have wanted to recreate. The teat drop is my favorite.
Thank you for your help!! It gave me a great base to start!!!! Very well done!!,
This is amazingggg you are to hard on yourself...pleaseee amazingggg
Thank you 😊🥰
Thank you so much you have helped me so much. I made a bronze one and they are gorgeous I did a lot of other colors but I really like the bronze ❤❤❤
Amazing !💯💯💯💯💯💯
I love the black heart that looks like an arrow going through it and the black teardrop with the heavy scratches. Not sure what that says about me or my head space right now - - but I dig it 😊
Thank you 😊
wow I really like how they came out they are beautiful I love all your ideas slso
Thank you so much! 😊
That created a stunning effect
the heart was cool❤
Gorgeous outcomes Daniel 🥰
Wow you’re crushing it!❤
I love them all!!! But that heart and the last one took my breath !!!! I know you are tired of the natural stones….lets try a mood stone!!! Using thermographic powders!!! I have them and really want to try it…loved the mood rings back in the day!!!!!
Lol, I will try soon, I haven't got any of the powders yet 😔
❤ definitely worth stopping fb scrolling! I am going to try after work with 2 part.
😊😊😊 thanks Cristy 😊 Have fun creating 😊
Absolutely stunning. Cannot wait to try this 😍
Thank you! 😊
Awesome as expected mate . Love them all 🫶👌👍
Thanks Mark 😊
These are the best faux labradorite stones I’ve ever seen! I was messing with those powders yesterday on a simple letter keychain, and thought how very similar it looked to moonstone or labradorite, so I had to look for a tutorial and came across yours- super happy I did! 😊 Definitely subscribed. Can’t wait to see more. These are absolutely incredible, love! 💘
Thanks so much and thanks for subbing 🥰
Time. 1:03 a.m. I love labradorite . I use it in jewelry making
The one you liked the least, the first teardrop, was one of the better ones. The marks are quite prominent in the real stone. Labradorite also has pink, orange and gold added in small amounts to the blue colors. Yours are very good. I think they are beautiful. I'm very inspired to make them myself
Thanks Donna 😊
WOW 😮 these are amazing. Labradorites are one of my favourite stones for jewellery but I would never have imagined you could get such gorgeous results from resin. I don’t know how you think up your experiments but I hope you keep it up - I’m always blown away with everything you create. Thanks again for sharing 😊
Thank you 😊
I love the blue but not sure I like the scratching. I suppose you could even scratch in initials. That would be cool. A mixture of blue and purple would be nice.
LOVE LOVE LOVE these!! ❤❤❤
It’s nice to hear that other art makers are sometimes dissatisfied with their own art ..hearing so many online artist constantly marvel at the beauty of their own creations has had me wondering if something was wrong with me
Wow 😯 these all came out stunning
Thanks Tia 😊 🙏
Wow! Labradorites are my favorite stone and I think it would be very difficult to tell the difference between the real thing! Actually, I think the only difference would be that so many real stones have like one little good spot that you can only see if you hold at a certain angle and with yours the ENTIRE surface is iridescent and at any angle. LOVE LOVE LOVE these!!
These are just gorgeous
Totally awesome!! Very cool. Fairly east and not as stressful and messy and looks fantastic!!
Lovely work! I wouldn't worry no one can take their own work seriously, we're all our own worst critic.
Have you tried a pokey tool or sturdy needle to scratch so you have more control of where you're putting them? Just a thought.
Keep em coming!
Awesome job!!! Their gorgeous!!! I’ve been having to play around with some of it, I had it. Oops with the UV resin wrinkle on me it does give a cool fact. Thanks for sharing. It’s always a joy to watch a Videos!!!
Thank you 😊
Those are gorgeous!
💜🩵 love them!
Mr. Cooper, hello from across the pond. You are so inspiring and present us with many good ideas. Love the Labradorite. To me everything you do is new and different. Still trying the petri things but am still unsuccessful. But going to keep trying. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Thank you 😊 All good here thanks 😊 🙏
Oh fab! May have to give these a go ❤
Wow ❤
I want to see black and some bright colors too
Beautiful as always ❤
Thank you! 😊
Will have to try this!
Daniel, did you notice on the heart at the 2 o'clock area there is a face of a woman looking to her left, has the eye and nose. at 12:46. take a look and see what you see. It's amazing.
That's crazy! I will check it out 😊🥰
I know exactly what you mean when you say that there’s just something about it that you can’t readily identify. I’ve made Stained Glass windows for Temples, Resorts, Basketball Stars and even a once popular TV Series (which they shattered.. of course :) And even tho the clients were happy, it was rare that I was completely satisfied with a piece. I also have symmetry issues😆 which really wasn’t helpful unless.. I was designing and creating a Frank Lloyd Wright piece.😂 Anyway, I think feeling that way is pretty normal.. maddening but, normal.😊 Your Labradorite is really beautiful Daniel.❤
Lol, it's horrible being our own worst critic 😂
Loving these gems. Great video ❤
I like the black mica powder!!!
Yes, I loved the heart one, really wasn't expecting that 😂
Those are so gorgeous love it.
Thanks 😊
You're awesome! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the Super Thanks 🥰🥰
I haven't even watched all the way through...and I know I'm going to try this! I would love to figure out how to do a faux seamoss stone.
😊😊😊 thanks 😊 I will look one up 😊
I love the heart also. We are our worst critics. I didn't see any bubbles. They look amazing!!!!❤
Thanks Myla 😊 🫂
So beautiful nice 1 Daniel xx
Thanks Lorna 😊🥰
Would love green
I may try soon Mary 😊
They all turned out great!
Thanks Carolyn 😊
Omg love this effect and deffo want to try it,
These are beautiful. But I think the heart is my favorite.
Thanks 😊 Mine too 😊😊😊
I thought that was an emboss imprint sculpt on the back of the heart. It wasn't, but it got me thinking... you know it would be cool to try?
I love the heart. I might be odd but I see a woodland scene in there 🤷🏼♀️😂
Thank, the heart is awesome. A viewer on TT said the same yesterday 😊😊😊
Even more beautiful than the previous ones you had done. 🙂😍
Thanks Gulma 😊 I love these 🥰
This looks so amazing! Thanks so much for sharing your technique with us! ❤
they are all gorgeous!!!
Thank you 😊
These are lovely. I think we are hardwired to see flaws in our own works. If we didn't, we wouldn't keep trying to improve.
So true 😊😊
Daniel, absolutely love the heart and the last one... I can always tell if you really like how something turned out or if it just ok by your voice. I love everything you share with us and thank you so much for taking the time to do these videos. I appreciate so much.
Thanks Tina 😊
Absolutely Beautiful. I have got to try this for sure. Thank you.
Oh, WOW, Daniel! These look so close to real Labradorite! Just gorgeous! Thanks so much for pursuing the effects as much as you have, then showing us how to do it! 😊💕
Gorgeous I love this technique x
Thank you 😊
My art never looks right to me either! Yours is of course, beautiful. xx
Fabulous 🤩
They are gorgeous!
That halo effect would be great on a tiger's eye in conjunction with the magnetic nail enamels.
We are always our own worst critic.
Use a dremmel to make the scratches. With the incrave parts. Then you can make more natural lines. Without pressure. I think these look very beautyfull. My favorite stone.
Omg these are fantastic. I have real labradorite, and these look so close to them. Amazingly, well done, Daniel.
Thanks Kim 😊
Love when you pause and say “WoW” ! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Kim 😊 🫂
Last oval one is very natural looking, really like it
Thanks Linda 😊
I love how you make yourself laugh. Cannot wait to be able to afford raisin and the UV materials. Just love your work.
Thank you 😊
Super❤
I love the technic and i prefere the last one 😉🥰
It's du franglish 😂
Sorry je maîtrise très bien le français mais j'ai toujours eu un problème avec les langues étrangères.
La n'est pas le propos... c'est fantastique, je vais essayer la semaine prochaine
Merci encore pour tout 😊
Thanks Claire 😊 Always type your comments in French, I can translate 😊🥰
These are really fabulous!
Thank you 😊
I love labradorite and have a necklace with a good size piece of it. The flashes are mesmerizing. They are all wonderful, but that last one blew my mind!
Thank you 😊
The heart was amazing ❤ and the second oval at the end
Do you ever make any of the larger resin items? I would love to see you try to do a pyramid with your different techniques…. What do you think?
Lol, imagine how many small pendants I could make from the resin in a big pyramid, I made one once, never again after seeing how much resin they need 😂🤣
