Thank you for the video, but will add my 3 pence to it.
    1. Yes, soldering with a hot air station is not the easiest to do - correct. But, when you use it, and not remove the old solder which is unleaded = you need a higher temp. The mainboard is from a laptop = quite thick. You'd have more heat absorbshion on the driver board from a TV, or some mobile devices. But, PC, TVs, game consoles have too many layers nowadays and that's why they can take a lot of heat.
    2. No, SMD components like capacitors are not always the same if have one colour. Resistors are even worse. There's a range as you've told = agree, and using a larger size of capacitance is a good option. But, try to put 10 times smaller on the rail where is needed 10 times more. So, in many cases will be OK, but, in some it won't work. And, if you do this job, is worth having all from 0201 at least up to 0805 sizes. I buy in a bulk once in a loooooooooong while different sizes and values and than top up if use some of them.
    3. I don't like using tweezers with everything bellow 0805 size. I use tweezers to pick a tiny bit of flux, and touch this SMD component with it. Transfer it and use something to hold to the surface while heating up with a hot air, or my soldering iron. But it's me, if I'd find a better method, I'd use it ;). Still less stressful than my children around when I try to fix some electronics under the microscope :D.
    4. Your struggle with this capacitor is nothing comparing to what I've shown on this/my UA-cam channel :D. So, good job!

I use 350 c with large nozzle and air speed 2 so long as no plastic connectors or aluminium caps nearby, works fine.

How do you do voltage test/run power to see which capacitor is bad? All of mine have no physical imperfections nor visible damage...

your soldering iron tip is too small, the thick board absorbs its heat instantly, you need thicker soldering iron tip for this job and a higher temperature like 450c

Ceramic capacitors are more get shorted for unknown causes, maybe the build material is poor.

Hi it is not true abouth the capacitors , you got them in all values and voltages. Btw it is better to not replace the capacitor then put the wrong value, i hope you put 25v capacitor. Thit is just a tip i give you.

Last time i want to replace SMD 0201 take me sooo Long time..... But now i buy HOT TWEEZERS can remove and replace SMD component very fast adding abit flax.
If you remove shorted capacitor the laptop will be work🤣🤣🤣
