Umpires are supposed to know the rules and generally an umpire who has done it for a while has read the Rulebook multiple times and has received training from their district, if not from little league international. But even still, the umpire dictates the game, not a coach or manager. Without hearing the actual conversation on the field it looks like the manager was continuing to jaw at the umpire even after a warning. That’s a no no.

You always had the drunk mom that would yell during games with my generation, but in general, mothers weren’t as “involved” then and most just sat and watched their son and clapped. Now that the millennial girls are mothers now it’s a whole different story. They all want to be seen and heard even though they don’t know a fucking thing about what they are watching. This is exactly why you see the men standing along side the fences down the lines instead of sitting in the stands with these women

I umpired Little League games when I was in Junior High. You could never make both sides happy. Then I grew up and became a cop. Apparently, I didn't learn my lesson.
I think police deserve more credit but the few bad apples have made it hard on top of a society that hated authority figures, have lost their moral compass, and just plain crazy. Yet just like officials some police officers don't know the laws, people constitutional rights, and make bad decisions. In all jobs people are going to make mistakes but if you are reasonable, know the policies, rules, or laws you can make 95% happy.

We were happy for the parents to learn the rules and want to officiate the games. They just were not able to officiate any games that had any relatives playing. So many of them quit after several games when they saw just how hard it was to be an official.
