- Well here is some LL baseball drama. Nice triple from Kyler, HR taken away. After the coach got ejected parents decided to pull their kids off the field. Nice example to set, right? There was some back story before this play, the coach kept questioning the umpire trying to have a pissing contest. On the flip side we won, the score was 6-1 when this unfolded.

Umpires are supposed to know the rules and generally an umpire who has done it for a while has read the Rulebook multiple times and has received training from their district, if not from little league international. But even still, the umpire dictates the game, not a coach or manager. Without hearing the actual conversation on the field it looks like the manager was continuing to jaw at the umpire even after a warning. That’s a no no.

You always had the drunk mom that would yell during games with my generation, but in general, mothers weren’t as “involved” then and most just sat and watched their son and clapped. Now that the millennial girls are mothers now it’s a whole different story. They all want to be seen and heard even though they don’t know a fucking thing about what they are watching. This is exactly why you see the men standing along side the fences down the lines instead of sitting in the stands with these women

Those women's shrill voices screaming brought back all kinds of memories from when my sons played little league. I used to watch from the outfield so I didn't have to listen to Baseball moms who didn't know anything about the game.
When I played little league most of the sane dads watched in the outfield and I always wondered why. 20 years later I now get why

I once had an up call me out on catcher interference...I hit their glove. Supposed to be an automatic base but he called me out and claimed that was the rule
Once had a Soccer ref award a penalty kick for a Hand Ball AT MID-FIELD. They absolutely do not always know the rules.

Typically they can be but if the officials know the rules and only make a couple mistakes then most will be ok. It won't stop parents that yell to yell

Little League is probably the most difficult sport to watch. From the parents thinking they have the next MLB legend to 14 year old kids who are 5 feet tall and weigh 100 pounds who cant hit a ball and drops any ball that comes their way

I think police deserve more credit but the few bad apples have made it hard on top of a society that hated authority figures, have lost their moral compass, and just plain crazy. Yet just like officials some police officers don't know the laws, people constitutional rights, and make bad decisions. In all jobs people are going to make mistakes but if you are reasonable, know the policies, rules, or laws you can make 95% happy.

One of the reasons it was nice playing little league ball in the 70’s is that the moms usually kept their mouths shut.
I’m 72... all my LL coaches and umps were WW2 VETS. A tad different approach to kids sports with those men.
