- Super fun session pike fishing on a local canal, loads of action and some nice fish landed! I've included some pike fishing tips and techniques to helps some people out and hopefully get you cathing more fish too!

I just watch the whole thing in real time, very entertaining and your reactions to short strikes etc just add to the joy, and taking the #20 hook out was pure class.

You’ve definitely inspired me to do more lure fishing. There’s a cool river not far from me, can’t wait to see what’s in there. Need more practice with my baitcaster though!

You certainly show how practice makes perfect. I've been getting a bit dis heartened tried res and canal so far blanked. Upragaded on the lures. I'm certainly doing my bit dredging the canals lol. Great vid mate keep it up. Got people inspired

In finland and sweden the mctail i really popular. But people dont ogten use the standard tail. They change the tail wiyh a svartzonker bigtail. Big fish magnet in cold water with standar retrieve. Keep up the videos, good stuff

Another cracking video, like the squirrely Burts a master of jacks 😂😂 nicely sorted on the Gill hooking. I think it’s good to show how fast you can sort it with minimal damage to the fish. Top dangling mate

@@pikeandperch yeah big pike is a bit more lazy aswell. Dead bait works a treat, but BORING... might aswell carp fish heh.... wife and me spent a fair bit of money yesterday on lures 🙈 220 ish quid. But we watch pike fight, and they catch, and she order the lure 😂 cant wait for 1st october now pal. Need to find a canal or river like the ones you fish so we atleast have a chanse to catch. Lakes are slow at thw moment

Great video mate. You may have done a video on it at some point but would be good to get more video of the unhooking of them, like with the last fish. Only just started fishing for pike and the unhooking is the part I would like more help with. May make an interesting video for beginners?? Loved the action on this one though, awesome.

I've started lure fishing with my 10 year old son and it comes from us watching your channel and realising where you were fishing so it's your fault I have lost about 20 lures so far!! 😂 😂

That is my absolute favorite lure, nice to see it outside of sweden.. Better try that color to see if it works in the archipelago.
I love this lure it’s a fish magnet, I don’t twitch it as much as the author, it’s a perfect weight I prefer the curly tail. The Otus tails go on lovely, very high quality, the golds are best catchers.
@@georgedixon8105 I mostly use a short six foot-ish rod to really work it with. But it will do the same motion with some training with the reel, but it has have a stiffer rod action. It really darts irregular with this technique.

Hello, it only weighs a few ounces so either a 200 or 300 size reel would do I prefer the Curado 201 for that weight but the 300 size can chuck a lot heavier

Hi there, I’ve bought the Abu Garcia silver max combo, and I was wondering if I’d be able to throw something like a 100g lure around and still feel fine
The rod should have a casting weight written on the base of the rod, I use the savage gear mpp2 350g bait caster rod
wayne daly it’s has something like up to 50 g, but my old spinning rod said it could cast up to 24g and I cast things 4x times the size of that with ease

Costco is more Oldham do you mean the stretch near the police station just off Broadway?
Only ever had pike from the lillys near the boats and horses, and open water just past the causeway road, any other good strecthes?
I've never fished that area didn't even think to try if I'm honest and I've no idea why is it quite deep or shallower than a super model
