One of the most important pieces of equipment in a travel photographer’s arsenal isn’t part of his or her camera bag- it’s their vehicle. Much more than a method of getting from location to location, an off road vehicle can mean the difference between capturing or missing an epic shot. Nature photographer Cheyne Walls takes the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro throughout the U.S.A. and Canada to photography our National Parks.

Stunning images! My wife and I were up there last year around the time you were, so I sympathize with you. It was odd: the light was filtered, not like it is with fog or low light levels, but like a grey filter that suppressed the color. We're actually heading back today (10/4/21) and are hoping that the winds keep the smoke at bay.
We had a bear walk up to us while fishing at Ellery Lake in the Tioga Pass. It smelled the banana peel, devoured that, the snacks in our backpack and then the stringer of trout. He then calmly walked away and followed a group of hikers up the side of the hill. My GF actually tried to throw pebbles at the bear!
Where is this location?
Wish the tourist would stay the heck away during FALL. This is the locals time to enjoy where we live. You guys have had it all summer. Please stay away.
