Hi! I've seen your comments in geek gamers and mel li's videos. I hope you will answer. I've recently got Fallen from itch and I love the setting. The only thing is that combat/ violence is a bit hazy for me. Obviously the system is geared towards narrative resolution. Is the fight here an accurate depiction of what you had intended for the combat?
@@nickat1985 Hello and thank you for the question. Yes, Chao displays the mechanics really well! it is brutal, and is spawned from a kind of old school mentality, where most fights should be avoided, or planned for. Also, the rolls here are super brutal :( - that being said, if I were playing it, I would have incorporated the grappling hook in some way, like: damn lost initiative again! as he approaches, I toss the hook at him to tangle him up, and get bonus on initiative, or dodge roll. or something...I have been pondering the the 2d6 -> 10+, and whether its too difficult.
@@perplexingruins The brutality and difficulty does not bother me at all and I think it is well suited in the grimdark setting that you so masterfully created in your game. It is easily home ruled as well, make the success roll to be at +9. Thank you for answering so promptly! I am preparing to run my first ever solo RPG session with woods of despair this weekend! There will be blood (most probably mine)!
Very fun watch! You have a great ability to solo-roleplay and I love your enthusiasm! Those moments when you get excited, I got excited! Keep up the great work!
Hey! Really enjoying your channel! I’m a big fan of solo RPGing, but I also really enjoy painting minis. And generally I end up doing that instead. But then I can listen to other people solo playing, and that’s a really great combo for me 😂 Keep up the great work! 👍😁
I'm so happy to hear that!! I was literally just looking on Amazon for cheap miniatures since I may need to use them for scenes in future, but I decided to go the cheap route and get a 1-inch hole punch and a bunch of cardstock so I can draw on them and punch out little tokens, haha! Not quite as professional - maybe if I decide to go the miniatures route I can ask you for advice :D
@@Chaoclypse To be honest, I think that’s a genius idea! Especially with your talent and personal art style, that’s way better and more unique than minis. I personally love painting minis, but it’s rewarding in much the same way as drawing. So since you are already doing that, you can save yourself the trouble of buying a LOT of stuff, and becoming addicted to expensive plastic 😂 That said, if you should ever feel that you still REALLY want to get into mini painting, you’re most welcome to ask me questions 👍😁

Hola, una vez más gran video, me gusta que pruebes diferentes sistemas, tal vez en el futuro puedas hacer un video jugando Rogueland, gracias por el esfuerzo de hacer estos videos, son una inspiración
A Rogueland video may come in the future - I do own a copy! Can't make any promises though - there are a lot of RPGs I'm looking to play 😅 Thanks for the kind words!

Thank you friend! Glad you liked it :D

If you don't like d4 roll d8 and divide by 2. Personally I think the d4 is the stupidest dice.
