@@tiararoberts7878Thx for that info, and it’s working well for you no problems? I haven’t purchased yet just doing my research and hopefully it works out well with my amplified speakers
Thank you for reviewing this! I was wondering about this unit. I'll get one for our Prius. Keep up the great stuff on this channel (Wait, what happened to your car channel?)
That’s the same thing I’ve been looking for about this item! It only connects to your car speakers through Radio! But the apple carplay only sounds through the device itself is stupid. Even using a Aux to the iPhone to the device the sound cof mes out the back of the device and NOT your car speakers. I’m not understanding that part. They way people advertise this item. My purpose of buying was to get away from my factory radio Aux cord and use Bluetooth with my iPhone
I actually prefer to mount to left of steering like yourself back when I used to drive a old vehicle without any A-pillar airbag. (not direct on the pillar but on the dashboard area). Also nice to use one of those privacy screen protectors to reduce what other drivers from outside can see of your screen. So my question is with any vehicle equipt with a-pillar airbag... don't think that is the safest spot to mount such a device... By the way... how are the color/ contrast level of the display itself? Several months ago I retro-fitted my 2016 mazda 3 with android auto/apple car kit myself but the OEM display just suck a lot. low resolution but more importantly level of color/contrast is so bad that making our finer details when using main apps like Google Maps is not great especially with colors of the app itself. Waze is bit more easier but... anyways.
I am considering one of these to use in a 1953 GMC truck. I would need to stick it to the windshield because the metal dash is curved and there is no place to rest it. How strong is the suction cup that holds it to the windshield ? Thank you for the great review, it is quite helpful..😊
I had a 70 GMC truck, still regret selling it. The suction cup on this one is very stong. We've had it in the car for months and it hasn't loosened up at all. I repositioned it once and had to fight it to even get it to pop free.
All of my cars the lighter only comes on with the acc on the ignition. I know on my truck you can change that by switching which fuse socket the fuse for the lighter socket is using.
When your running your phone though car play the apps are optimized for the display. The things you would have to click on are much bigger and easier to use which makes it safer to use while driving. The text is enlarged as well making things like directions easier to quickly read. The screen is also much larger than a phone screen so it’s easier to see. This also connects all of your audio to the cars stereo.
Hey i have a question...Can you download additional app from play store in this device? Lets say im interest to download app that is connecting with my obd car port via bluetooth so i will chech all my car parameters ( temperature - Speed etc)
I have a hondash device that connecting with my Honda OBD 3pin car plug and sending via bluetooth to my android phone app that i download exactly for that and work great...Im wondering if this app can be downloaded also on this device and i dont have to use every time my smartphone
Having an issue with getting it to play on the car speakers. It does work with the aux cord but I see you also plugged the phone with the usb. Is that instead of using Bluetooth?
I haven't installed a rear camera on mine, but I have with other units. Usually it just involves running the wires to the back of the car and tapping a reverse light wire for power.
Send it back if it doesn’t have a USB for your iPhone! I was trying to figure out how can you get your music to play through your car speakers instead of the device itself (Stupid)
Hey! I have a complicated problem, my car has bluetooth but the screen is damaged to the point where I can't see anything to do the connection. Will it just connect to my speaker through the cigarette lighter? Aux is also not an option because as far as I'm aware, my car doesn't have it.
How you turn off the volume on CarPlay just to hear the music on the car speakers?
Having the same problem rn
@@DoctorLigma8you ever find out the reason way im struggling rn lol
Go to your phone settings and turn CarPlay off . The car should still connect to your speaker system through Bluetooth.

I tried that and its still not playing. HELP@adriantapia5250
Is there atuturiol showing how to connect the unit to the holder or mounted on dash?

Thanks! I’ve been slacking/busy…. I need more free time!
How do you connect to car speakers

The FM feature transmits through, to the stereo. Make sure to put each on the exact same FM frequency.
Will it make it loud feedback noise when you plug aux cord into it? Been having problems finding one without a loud buzzing or static noise.
I haven't had an issue with this one, I have had issues like you describe with other units that I wound up returning.

How does it determine when to be on? My cigarette lighter always has power

Putting the ignition into auxiliary, first click, initiates the dash cam automatically. No brainer.
Is there an attachment to the air vents with this device
I didn't get one with mine, I would imagine it would be far too heavy.
I have a bluetooth in my car,but don’t know the pin, will it still work on my car speaker if I get one of these pls?
So what is the benefit of using this device over using your phone for Nav/Apps/etc?

will this drain my cars battery?

You can only run the apps that work with CarPlay, for something like that, connecting to OBD2, you would be better off with an android headunit.

I just wish the refresh rate was a bit faster, it’s not like a 60hz screen is expensive anymore
How do we contact you. Have a 2013 Lexus RX 350 and would love to have this device.
I don't sell these, I just do tech reviews. Links should be in the video description.

@@edward2829 I've found the connection is better over USB, and having it connected wirelessly dains the phones battery pretty quick as well.
Mine is showing up tomorrow in the mail, my kit includes a rear camera... wondering about that installation.

How does this connect and make sound to your car’s speakers? 🔊
Though either your sterios aux port, Bluetooth or your FM radio.

You will need a way to atleast connect it to your head unit unfortunately.
Dose your car radio have to work to get the radio?
Yes
@DoItYourselfDad can you add apps to the device
@@tjrousey You can, it runs from your phone so it runs the carplay/android apps that are compatible through the head unit.
Does this run off your 4g/5g data on your phone? not just WiFi.
It connects to your phone and uses your phones internet connection.
Where is screen protector link?
