i looked up that Kuwabara Kuwabara thing Volgin says when he sees a tree frog....its basically a Japanese saying that wards off thunder or lightning (ironic) and tree frogs were considered a bad omen of thunder in Japanese folklore
plus, there are "rumors" and theories-ish that says that the sorrow was the cause of the thunderbolt that hit volgin. surprised that didn't kill him...
this guy, despite being everybody's fool, is a badass: Champion level boxer, managed to reach colonel class, inherited billions from his father, threatened the world with a world war, managed to create (with Sokolov's help, although forced) the Shagohod, fought the best soldier in the world, "died" and came back as a firey demon from hell to exact revenge. chronologically, Hideo Kojima made the very first villain a good one and it went better from there. :)

When I first played this fight, I was so intimidated. The time limit and Volgin just standing there with this music playing makes for such an intense boss fight. That and all the times I saw Volgin in cutscenes made this fight feel all the more menacing.
i was once fighting Volgin on extreme and the battle came down to the last minute. this track is amazing not just because it sounds great but it also heavily complements the nature of the battle
I like how in the cutscene prior to the fight Volgin invites Snake to a close combat battle with his body language and Snake seemingly agrees by putting his gun and knife away

I wonder how a Smash Bros for Metal Gear would go. Snake would be able to have all of his CQC moves ad his wide variety of guns; A well balanced fighter; His finishing move could be that grenade launcher thing from Brawl. Raiden would have all of his ninja like moves and of course be a ranged melee fighter because he has a sword, but also have a lot of moves to close in and deal some damage like his slide; The fighter which is easy to play but hard to master; Fox essentially; His special move could be the move from Playstation All Stars Volgin would be a heavy hitter and have some lightning projectiles; His finisher could be the Shagohod (Basically the Landmaster lol) Ocelot would be like Erron Black form MKX with his revolvers; His final move could be where he enters a "standoff" stance and if he can land a shot, it instantly kills the opponent. The Pain would be literally Link because he has pure projectiles, bullet bees to zone, grenades to keep distance, tommy gun for damage, and bees for a shield; His final move can be a critical shot with his bullet bees. The Fear would also be a ranged fighter; His final move could be a poison dart that kills the opponent. The End would be slow at the start, but he can get faster and regain health with his photosynthesis ability, he would mainly be a support because he uses sleeping darts, but if he could put someone to sleep, he can throw them off the map; His final move can be where he gets support from the cobra unit (Like the Fat Princess from PS Battle Royal. The Fury would use his flamethrower a lot and he would be very mobile with his rocket pack; His final move would be his Ignition Fire move where anybody below is killed immediately. The Boss would use her patriot to deal fast damage, and she can go up close for critical CQC hits, and if she does her grab and if you can't overpower her, she dismantles any weapon the opponent may be carrying and it respawns after 5 seconds or if they can pick it back up; Her finisher would be a rage mode where she has an increase in damage and if shes does a CQC move, it is then modified to kill the opponent, and the screen would have those white flower petals as a special effect. Quiet would be like The End, but she can move fast from the start and she can do ranged as well as close combat; basically Zero Suit Samus because waifu; Her finishing move could be where she slows down time and insta kills anybody with her sniper rifle; OP like Bayonetta, better nerf Greninja. Gray Fox would be like Raiden, but uses only the sword but is able to teleport and go invisible, he would also have a counter move where he drops his sword and yells "Hurt me more!!" and if he is hit, he teleports behind the opponent and hits them accompanied with him saying "A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal!" (Or something); His final move could be one hit kill sword slashes that decapitate the enemy. Liquid is also fairly well rounded and is Luigi to Snake's Mario, he would be around the same as Snake since they're twin brothers, but he would have an extra variety of moves that he does in the game like his ramming attack; His final attack would be Metal Gear Rex and he could say "Try this!" or if he is fighting Snake the voice line can be swapped to "Snake! It's not over yet!" Meryl would use her guns and would be able to do some hand to hand combat; Her finishing move is her Desert Eagle. Vamp would use his projectile knives and be able to run in fast for fast knife attacks, he could also use his slow down ability to freeze the opponent for a second or longer depending on the damage (Think of Jigglypuff's Song move from Smash); His final move can be some sort of command grab that insta kills the opponent by slitting their throat with a knife. Psycho Mantis would use projectiles like chairs and tables, he could also hover around and use his psychokinetic power; His final move can be where he takes control of any player on the screen the player chooses and can either use them to fight other opponents, or make them commit suicide by jumping off the map. I'm probably missing many people and characters (Like the Metal Gear Rising people), but It's one o'clock here in Texas and I'm darn tired. But before I go, there is one more feature for this imaginary Metal Smash Solid game. And that is that if a character has different versions, the player could select that different version. For example, Snake was in MGS 1, 2, 3, 4, and the Phantom Pain, so you can pick an MGS3 version of Snake with unique moves that he used in that game, or you could pick one like Phantom Pain where Snake uses enhanced CQC and other different modes. I'll tell you what, I'm so sleepy that I keep on misspelling words, so I'm out! Night everyone!
this sounds like a good idea, except for the fact that you're wrong on one thing. the snake that you play as in MGS3 and 5 aren't the same snake as the one you play in the rest of the games where you control Solid Snake. in those two games of MGS3 and MGS5, you play as Big Boss.

I'm probably missing many people and characters (Like the Metal Gear Rising people), but It's one o'clock here in Texas and I'm darn tired.
But before I go, there is one more feature for this imaginary Metal Smash Solid game. And that is that if a character has different versions, the player could select that different version. For example, Snake was in MGS 1, 2, 3, 4, and the Phantom Pain, so you can pick an MGS3 version of Snake with unique moves that he used in that game, or you could pick one like Phantom Pain where Snake uses enhanced CQC and other different modes. I'll tell you what, I'm so sleepy that I keep on misspelling words, so I'm out! Night everyone!
this sounds like a good idea, except for the fact that you're wrong on one thing. the snake that you play as in MGS3 and 5 aren't the same snake as the one you play in the rest of the games where you control Solid Snake. in those two games of MGS3 and MGS5, you play as Big Boss.
Can't believe they did not remix this banger to be The Man on Fire 's theme in MSGV . Such a lost opportunity
