    I know guys that only go fishing with rod and reel combos for at 400-600$ and their tackle box costs at least same money. Well, I dont need a rolls royce for my personality. So your combo would fit for me perfect. Especially the rod, but I dont get it in europe. ;o) Keep fishing! BTW: are there tournaments like " the most species a day with just one rod?" That would fit the best allrounder.

    • @CreekFishingAdventures

    I have a Vigelante rod and love it, but I have a fifty dollar Abu Garcia reel on it. I actually like ultra light fishing. I don't find much fun in rod, reels, and line so strong you can just crank in the largest fish without any fight to it. Other than a couple of deep water cat rigs, this is the heaviset rod I have.
    I also love taking a Zebco 202 rod and reel and see what size fish I can catch on it. I went fishing for cats with the 202, hooked a thirty-five pound caerp instead of the cat I wanted, but landed it after an hour. Not bad with a Zebco 202 and four pound line.

    • @CreekFishingAdventures

      That sounds like a fun challenge. Bring back some cheap rod and reals for big fish

  • @zumalot
    @zumalot 5 років тому

    Nice bass! I sure appreciate you going over the species. I'm finding out me and my posse were not calling fish the correct names. Seems we called a lot of sunfish perch. But 5 minutes ago I read sunfish can be called perch or bream or brim. I did see you catch a longer fish which you actually called it a perch. This was on another upload. I just find all the species and where they are located very fascinating like the Coosa or redeye bass.
    Thanks for all the fishing. The next best thing to fishing is watching someone else fish. Well, there may be a few other next best things.

    • @CreekFishingAdventures

    Great looking combo you have there. I have 2 spinning rod combo's that I use for alot of creek and pond fishing. Both Ugly Stik's. 1 is ultra light combo. 4'8" with a reel a bit smaller than your Piscifun there. I fish 4' mono of that. Thats the one I fish trout and panfish magnets on, and several other small baits. Crick Hoppers too. The second is a Ugly Stik gx2, 6'0 light action. I use it for trout but it works great for bass and other species. The reel I have on it is a Kastking Sharky II 1500. I have fished it over a year now and it's worked great. I spool it with either 6 lb mono or 20 lb power pro braid. Would like to try a lighter braid on it. Tight lines brother!
