Very good question at 11:40 - I don't think he answered it though. What makes her want more "calories" to get fat on the outside? Ok she's not eating something that causes visceral fat (or other lifestyle input - stress etc) but she's definitely overeating for some reason or is there a genetic component? I would guess that if you look at the rest of her family they would all be over weight (just a guess) - but I too have been watching people for a long time (I'm 67) and overweightness runs in families even when they are spread all over the world subject to different lifestyles (it seems).

This is the 2nd time I've watched this segment, and I still don't understand how the model was able to have low vfat, but has high sfat. If she doesn't move much & overeats calories, they must be from low carb and high meat. To gain that much sfat, does she overeat more protein and fat possibly?
Dr. Baker has lost weight recently and used to eat a large amount of meat, I wonder if he cut back to loose weight.
This is very interesting, and I look forward to more of your interviews with Dr. O'Mara, to understand the links between calories, sfat & vfat. The doctor did clear up the genetic issue for me. So much has been blamed on it, and people use it as an excuse. It will be good to explain that it's "ask not what your genes can do for you, ask what you can do for your genes" quote by Dr. O'Mara.

Dr. Baker gained 30# of fat eating a strict carnivore diet of 5# plus of ribeye.
He is muscular but high in weight.
I was shocked he went up near 300#. He is now down to 250.

@@livincincy4498 Haven't really heard anything about carnivores being able to gain weight, although there are people who can't seem to loose weight on the diet.
Dr. O'Mara's comparison is the first I've seen of low vfat with high sfat. Since you mentioned Dr. Baker lost 50 lbs, I didn't know how much, your comment helped me understand we can gain weight as a carnivore.
From what I have learned about the carnivore lifestyle, the model is likely a carnivore/ketovore. With no processed foods and minimal carbs, Dr. O'Mara, from his research findings to date, feels she is low vfat. I like that he is able to visually see this in people! It's a symptom we need to be mindful of.

Going to go out on a limb and say they photoshopped her photo to make her look more aesthetic. After all it's a popular magazine.. I never see anybody that big in real life that has proportions like that.

@@Conservative_carnivore I do know one gal who has a slim face and large physic, but I wondered if it's related to genetics.
Agree, magazines are notorious for photoshopped front page photos. Will be interesting to see in future if his theory holds true.
