1971 John Hine hits the bank head on and flies over the top, BRSCC @ Brands Hatch

  • John Hine is shoved off the track rather rudely in the BRSCC sports car race. Like Jim Clark in '65, he goes head on into the bank, but is spectacularly launched over it. He seems uninjured, but that doesn't mean it didn't hurt.

    I have been waiting decades to see this again. It was shown on the evening news on the day it happened and I had seen the cars a few weeks before at Croft Autodrome. That banking claimed many victims. Thanks for uploading.

      With victims you mean fatalities or just crashes in general?

    anyone know what happened to John in later years ? seems very little info on him and he was one of the greats in my opinion

    That pretty much seems like Jim Clark tried to kill him...or a very freaky wiggle of Clark´s car.

    He hit side with Wilson Fittipaldi Junior in other Chevron , isn't ?
