SAKE - A Quick Guide

- Sake is widely known as Japan’s national drink. It is believed that Japan has been making sake in one form or another for over two thousand years.
Technically, sake just means “alcohol,” so any kind of beer, wine or liquor would be considered sake. What most people mean as, “Japanese Rice Wine” is actually called Nihonshu.
And although it’s referred to as “rice wine,” it’d probably be more accurate to say, “rice beer” because wine is made from fermenting fruit, while beer is made from fermenting grains.
When you warm sake, you need to warm in indirectly, through a separate container, like when melting chocolate. Different temperatures bring out different characteristics, so you can warm it to different degrees for a slightly different taste. Just make sure that you don’t warm it too quickly, and don’t allow it to get too hot.
Sake is something I’ve always wanted to try and I think I might get a bottle tomorrow

Can you order just a glass of sake or does it have to an entire bottle at a restaurant?
It depends on the restaurant you order from. Most places offer a few options for a glass and several bottle only options
great video !! no superfluous info.
Got a little to buzzed one night and forgot i had filled a cup full of sake then passed out, woke up thinking it was a glass of water i took 3 huge gulps, and only realized it was sake after i put the cup down... lets just say the hangover was......cured

Thanks for your comment. We bought this one at our local department store. I'm not sure where (or if) it's available in the US.
Gowri look up "Social Sake" should be on that site
It's in liquor stores, and some grocery stores, you cant order alcohol on amazon, so you're not going to be able to find it there
Zoro thought it was gas so here I am
I wanna try all

Is rice is fruit? Or vegetables?
Culinarily, Rice is treated as a grain. Botanically, it is a grass.

Rock Lee Brought Me Here
Kaido summoned me here
I’ve always liked sake.
My Chinese relatives brought me a bottle of baijiu. Saying it’s the same thing. Before opening it, I’ve heard that it’s quite harsh. (I may re gift it, if that’s true, compared to sake)
Any comments?
Baijiu is distilled, whereas Sake is brewed. Baijiu generally has a higher alcohol content by volume, which some people find " rougher".
@@eatlikealocal Having tried it. It's as expected, similar to the harsh cheap alcohol, in many countries. Made by a big corp, for the disenfranchised.
Better for the lawnmower, or as camp stove fuel.
It's quite different from sake in my experience. Sake is typically smoother
I drunk a hole bottle and passed out
Who can recommend me a good cold sake for a hot day ? Thank you
It's because of kaido, Zoro, shanks and whitebeard made me look into sake

I have that blue bottle right now and its honestly not that good lol, not my personal preference. Not a huge sake fan though, so I cant judge
You could prank people with this since it look like water 💀
It’s too boozy to pass as water
Sake is basically sorta like moonshine
Sake and Moonshine are fairly different from one another.
Sake is a Japanese brewed rice beverage, similar in process to Beer. In terms of alcohol, it typically contains between 9-16% alcohol content which is more like wine than liquor.
Moonshine is a distilled corn spirit that usually contains 40-60% alcohol.
White trash make moonshine
