Just downloaded Roller Fink on Spotify and listened to it for my morning run. Fast and fun album. Enjoyed every tune. Can't wait for the Spice Up Your Life album to come out at the end of the week. Really nice sound. True authentic surf music.

Awesome - here's my review. From Dick Dale to the Chantays to the Ventures to the Shadows the Surfrajettes bring into the modern world the sound of whammy bars and reverb, giving their own unique music take on both surf classics and modern tunes - even a Britney Spears cover! In many ways the band is form of living history, recreating the sounds of the early age of electric guitar technology. But, but rather than engage with them on a purely intellectual "interesting concept" basis, their on stage energy, chemistry, genuine affection for one another, and obvious delight, quickly suck you back in time to where unapologetic fun is shared equally between band and audience. Dual lead guitarists Shermy and Nicole trade licks and rhythm while Sarah, on bass, and Annie, on drums, bring a bottom section the Purple Gang would envy. While their UA-cam videos fill in their backstory and tease you with their latest musical releases - you can't help but imagine that each night of their Surfrajettes road trips is one of just four girl friends having a sleepover and a giggling conversation of "what if we....". Thankfully, they've decided to share their passion project and help the rest of the world answer the question of... "if everybody had an ocean". Everybody is surfing... the Surfrajettes way.
@@VanZoneSteveV Awesome review. Couldn't have said it better myself. Have been in love with these girls for several years now and they just keep raising the bar in every way. Their creativity knows no boundaries. To me this is no longer merely Surf Music. It is now Surfrajettes Music. A class and genre all its own. You are spot on with how they project themselves. Four really good friends, all for one and one for all. It's fun during performances you catch them shooting each other smiles kind of like saying "isn't this great!!" It's heart warming to see. Having met them in person I can attest they are the kindest, most accommodating, down to earth people you will ever meet. I got to spend a good 5 minutes with Nicole all alone before a show and she is so wonderful and talkative. Mind you, this was in the middle of a 26 show tour and she made me feel like I was the only person on earth at the time. As a guitar player, they have become my favorite band of all time and I have learned so much Nicole and Shermy, which after 40 years I didn't think was possible, but here I am saying it. They have figured out how to create joy with every song they write or cover. Their tones are intoxicating. Their choice of covers, their originals, the whole package and vibe is happiness and I can't get enough.

All of my friend's parents had the top left hand Blue Lady print, I felt my mum and dad were depriving me in not having it. It was a best seller in Woolworths at the time, I think my dad was sick of seeing as he worked in Woolworths.

Takes me back to when I was a kid in California in the sixties, listening to surf rock on the radio. Most of the time I had no idea who the artists were. This sounds just like an instrumental from that time that I just hadn't heard yet until now. Great.

Great video! Also, I saw The Beach Boys in New Jersey Sunday night. They had surfing videos in the background. I also have some videos in Montauk with the ocean in the background. Montauk New York is a popular surfing location. 🎹 🌊 🏄♂ 👍
