@@DragoonZellI'd much prefer the largely shit ending we got to no ending at all. It's been 9 years since the last season aired that was mostly based on a published book. One of the respects in which House of the Dragon is better is that it's based on a book which has already been published. Also different writers helps enormously.
It always amazed me how all the Stark siblings had the restrain to not being overly affectionate with their direwolves. I don't care if they can rip a man's head off, I'd be treating them like puppy dogs and baby voicing them all the time
I always wondered, wat if Theon got a direwolf too. Then all the kids wouldve gotten one. The Young Wolf, The Faceless Wolf, The Red Wolf, The White Wolf, the Lost Wolf, The Three Eyed wolf...the Sea Wolf would just complete it. Theon was Ned's kid too, it would've been fitting i think. Imagine just as Theon was tortured by Ramsey, his direwolf would have gone through similar pain (just like the rest of the stark's wolves) to reflect Theon. His direwolf would always be a reminder that he is a stark and all the mistakes in the past he did, also all the good memories. It would be an interesting dynamic bc Theon is also a Stark.
He was actually holding one in the first scene, was that one of the Statk siblings' wolves or did the writer originally intend to give him one too and then changed the script?
Although dire wolves and gray wolves look very similar, they are not related. Recent genetic testing shows that these two species have separate lineages. Surprisingly, the last time these two shared a common ancestor was around 5.7 million years ago.
Before watching this edit, each time i watched the scene where Jon pushed Sam and left with the horse with ghost following after, i always said "wait for meeeeee" in ghost's voice 😂😂😂
Really wanted the wolves to stick with all of them the whole time but I guess budget and plot? Like Nymeria should’ve escorted Arya home but refused to enter preferring to live in the surrounding forests close to home but still doing her own thing just like Arya and ghost should never have ever left Jons side for a second of battle or political meetings just the sheer command and attention you get from walking in with a wolf bigger than a man that’s just cool with you and only you
Does anyone else think it’s hilarious how these are supposed to be “ wolves” when they are so obviously just huskies😅 like I know they were limited in what they could do (they’re only options were CGI or dogs) but it’s just so distracting because they’re just huskies 😂
Ghost and Nymeria were the only ones to survive the show. Lady was killed by Ned (on Robert’s orders) Grey Wind died during the Red Wedding. Summer was killed by wights. Shaggydog was killed by Ramsey.
Seven blessings on you. The Direwolves are so underutilized in the show, when it all STARTED with them. Like, come on. T.T I would've been SO mad if Jon didn't make things right with Ghost by the end... It's just the little things that mean the most.
It's kind of interesting how all the great houses had their animal sigil as pets or at least seen. Yet not once did we ever see a lion in Westeros or Essos. Kind of like a parallel to how lions are a symbol of England despite the fact that lions don't exist there.
Fun fact, Sophie Turner adopted the dog that played Lady after the episode where she's killed aired
Almost fully makes up for the sh@tf@ck way she did Nick Jonas. Almost.
