She's a sweet soul. I've known her since high school were we went to school together in Nashville and she graduated a year before me. Deana is not related to the June Carter/Cash family. Her daddy, Fred Carter was an American guitarist, singer and producer in his own right and was lifelong friends with some of County Music's greats. He sadly passed away in 2010.

Ugh....I remember Boones. $2 a bottle. Right next to the MadDog. Worst. Hangover. Ever. It was honestly enough to make me never drink wine again.
I was a mess and there was no sneaking in past my folks that night. I was singing my bum off at 3 AM and tripping over my own feet.

I’m in Iowa and the Amish in the Amanda Colonies make a wonderful strawberry wine, lol. The dandelion wine tastes almost exactly like a Riesling. But I concur, unless you’re from the country, making your own…Boone’s Farm was it! 😂

Strawberry wine was one of the first wines I tried when 19 or 20. I was a teenager in the 70s and this perfectly mirrors My 1st love when I was in high school. If you try strawberry wine I don't think you'll find it complex, but rather a sweet & simple wine. Which is why it was such a great visual of youth, innocence and 1st love.

Boone's Farm Strawberry Wine was huge in the late 60's and early 70's. This was the wine the songwriter was remembering. I think it was the first alcoholic beverage many girls tried. It was cheap. It wasn't very good. I'm from Tennessee and I know in most rural areas farmers make all kinds of homemade wine. In the southeast, scuppernong, peach, apple, strawberry, muscadine, elderberry, etc. are common. I'm sure every region of U.S. has unique wines depending on fruits that are common in their area. I've always wanted to try homemade strawberry wine. It just sounds like it would be...should be...good. :)

Just as an FYI, her name is pronounced like mine; Dee-nah. Other than the fact that she has a heavenly voice, she was always special to me because she was the person I ever knew of that had my name. And she spelled it the way my mom wanted to spell mine.
My dad died 2 months before I was born and my mom wanted to name me after him. His name was Dean. She wanted to just add an A at the end for Dean-a, but was afraid people would call me De-Ana. So, she just switched the N and the A, making Dena. I was 15 when this song came out (her first big song). I had never heard of anyone else with my name before then. 💗

Boone's Farm Strawberry Wine. Had a screw top, like only the best has. I don't know if you can even buy it in the US anymore.

It's crazy how Deana Carter looks like June Carter, but the two are not related.

I started to but had to stop watching your reaction to this song that I myself hadn’t heard before to complete another task. Anyway, that chorus got stuck in my head. So, now I gotta buy this song. In fact I’ve purchased quite a few country songs after watching your videos.

Darlin, strawberry wine isn't so much a product than a experience.... as a seventeen yr. old girl... however, she contrast it to a real southern product...

June Carter Cash had 3 biological children. One from each of her 3 husbands plus Johnny's kids. Deana is not one of her or Johnny Cash's kids.

Strawberry wine isn't that great honestly 😂 I'd go with blackberry or peach if it were me.
