ok, so..... i need this, i wish they made like a stealth centered update, generally making automaton bases more like metal gear solid 5's afganistan prison, there's sewers to access it, strong points you blow up to prevent reinforcements and so on, it would be amazing add in remote detonation charges and maybe a perk to see vision cones or something like that. I know the game is not mainly about stealth, but beeing able to choose with deeper detection mechanics would be cool, and yeah i think the game could use some faction specific options of approach
I completely agree! I'd love to see a stealth-focused update. The current stealth system is surprisingly advanced, they just don't have it tuned that well.
Currently you can sneak into most bases but that is as far as it goes because you are very unlikely to complete any objective without being spotted. Stealth gear could finally allow us to clear the base without being detected and then completing any objective. I am just imagining how cool it would be to have 2-3 players sneaking into the base while the 4th stays at a distance with a sniper in case things go wrong

As a semi stealth player myself I highly suggest you check put some of Era vins videos. They’re a super good guide but I will sum up the main points here if you think that is too much hassle. 1. On average enemy setection range is about 50 meters. This is only if you’re in their line of sight. ( Their “line of sight” are invisible cones that protrude out of the eyes ) If you’re behind them then so long as you don’t make any loud noises ( falling, jumping, shooting etc. ) it’ll be much harder for them to detect you ( with trailblazer scout stealth armour you can be nearly touching their heels and they won’t notice ) 2. Crouch or prone depending on how close you are. If you’re within the fifty meter detection range then its best to crouch. Proning will make you the least detectable but it also makes you REALLY slow which is unoptimal for getting out of a scouting parties way. 3. Enemies have three states of existence (iirc) First one is just lookout/chilling. In this state the enemies are NOT aware. This stage is where you can crawl right under their noses and they won’t notice. You can also use this to your advantage when raiding something like a bot base. Enemies are hesitant to leave this chilling/lookout state so you can literally pick a few off before they begin to investigate. ( basically free kills with no repercussions) Second state is alerted state. In this state they will be quick to jump at any signs of helldiver activity however they are not aggravated yet. This is also the state that patrols will be in at ALL times which is why you have to be extra careful around them. In this state, if even a single scout sees something the entire squad will come rushing to investigate. So this means no free pickings. Third and last state is the aggravated state. There are two stages from what I’ve seen. First stage of aggravation is where they know hostiles are in that general location but they don’t know where exactly. Thats why you sometimes see turret gunners just shooting up a rock in your vicinity where absolutely nobody is located. If you continue to engage they will find out but you can still run. Then after this is where they know where you are and are actively trying to kill you which is well… pretty straightforward. If they lose sight of you for thirty seconds though they’ll de-aggro and go back to the alert state but they won’t go back to the lookout state. Eravins video has more details like environment effects, smokes and all the numbers and whatnot which I didn’t care enough to memorize but yeah go check him out.
What's up with those damage values? 495 Dmg for R-63? I'm confused. A suppressor does not add velocity of any sort, if anything damage values should be lower.
In some cases bullets actually can speed up with suppressors because the longer the barrel/ suppressor the longer gasses have to build more propulsion behind the bullet. Some other cases suppressor will not decrease or slow based on the original guns projectile speed/length/drag. video games are not based on logic but balance, don't ever expect to base reality on video games or movies. (Lol Especially CoD)
I'm not an expert, nor a gunsmith but that is what I have read. It depends on the method of vents built on the suppressor or compensator. Where as adding a suppressor will not increase damage, it doesn't decrease it either. Doesn't have any effective change positive or negative to the bullet. But it will add weight to the end of your gun at the end arm leverage causing stabilization to be more difficult for aiming and recoil. Also can cause a blinding flash effect if it vents the muzzle flash upwards in front of your sights, more noticable in the dark.
Dont believe everything you see people have their own private hacked servers now and are constantly uploading BS videos and the audacity to use john helldivers name on this anti democratic post is insulting
