The main standard I held firm to was that my husband has to be a strong believer that fears Allah. Additionally I made sure he was creative and a risk taker. After this, I let it all go.
Fast forward four years, he grew and developed so much into the man of my dreams. So really, understand you’re never going to find “the perfect man”. We need to stay patient and trust Allah that whoever you choose will grow just as you will also grow.

@@Briannalangland You are 100% right I couldn’t have put into better words. Sometimes you don’t necessarily marry exactly your type but through growing together you both become ideal partners Alhamdulilah. Life is funny like that sometimes. But this is definitely the other side of coin and so important to think about! Jazakallah for your wisdom sister💕✨

Thank you so much for sharing your views. When i was 24, i was highly pressured by my family to marry someone who i found so repulsive, and top of that, he had hygiene issues. I left after many years because none of my rights were given. Alhamdillah, i escaped without family support.

@@sooshmitafaruk5318 really appreciate your support ❤️ I am so sorry to hear about your experience. I think Allah swt definitely tests us in different ways and it seems you came out the other end much stronger and equipped with more knowledge Alhamdulilah 💕 I pray that you find happiness and the perfect partner for you one day 🌻

Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu… I have just listened to your episode and am more than impressed with what you’ve delivered … subhanallah, such positivity and wisdom in all of your words that are and should be more than a healing and an eye opener for all those who are heedless in to thinking others lives are all rosy and hunky dory ! Most needed advice in today’s day and age -to focus on self worth and self improvement rather than focusing on desiring what others have !! May Allah SWT bless your work and time with barakah and further success , Allahumma aameen 🤲🏻❤️

Wow! I was literally thinking about it this morning then i got a notification about your episode with the same topic Soubhan'Allah 😅
I really enjoyed this episode and it felt like a big hug : I want to get married, but the heat's mostly on bc everyone around me is getting married and I have no clue what they're doing to meet their partners, my family has also been bugging me about it, but It's so hard because I have strong values and I refuse to settle for just about anyone or to go about it in a Haram way.
At times, I also keep thinking maybe Allah just hasn't planned it for me and i need to accept that, maybe it's my test etc. Then sheitan takes advantage and starts whispering to me that I should just stop praying for it because it's never going to happen, and I have to remind myself that Allah SWT loves to hear us pray for him, so I won't stop praying for it anyway😅

@@tchaitchai glad you liked this weeks episode! It can be tough with all the expectations there is with marriage and seeing everyone else get married certainly doesn’t help 😕 like you said it’s the shaytans whispers as well so Alhamdulilah you are definitely on the right track. I think the best things happen when we we are busy living our lives 🥰
