@@filmbricks-stopmotion That is an extremely dangerous thing for an operator to do and that can get the operator in a crap ton of trouble or even fired. It doesn't matter if the child may never get to experience the ride, these rides have height requirements for a reason and that is potentially putting the child's safety at risk by letting them ride when they don't meet the height requirements.
I think it’ll get converted like top thrill 2 there is more evidence leaning towards that. There are three markers behind the launch track that is a triangle formation which is how the spike would be made. Also as far as money goes it would cost way more to remove the ride and build something else rather than converting it. Especially because they would have to build something that could live up to kingda ka which would cost a ton. I think it’ll get converted
@@StationWaitI’m not betting on it as I’m going to the park to get my final rides today but there are no white markers near ka and everything else I said before is making me lean more towards a conversion
If Kingda Ka closes without so much as a word from them I'm never going back to Great Adventure. It's a 6 hour drive from where I live, and I've always wanted to go back since I went the first time in 2019. Toro and Nitro are cool and all, but the main reason I wanted to go back was always Ka. It has always been (and now will always be) my favorite rollercoaster, and the one time I went I was only able to go on it once because my brother didn't want to go on it again. The least they can do is leave the top hat standing. That being said I would still spend a ludicrous amount of money for a brake fin, or even a bolt, if they tear it down. I'm sure many enthusiasts would kill to own a part of Ka if they couldn't ever ride it again.
I have a Vortex track slice from Kings Island. I'm lucky I have it. I'd buy a piece of Ka if i could. But I havent rode Ka ever though. I also have multiple wheels from my hope park Kentucky Kingdom. There is one ride I'd LOVE a piece of but it would be dam near impossible................................... I'll give you a hint: It used to be at Kings Island............ Not SOB........ Or Vortex.......... a small part of the ride still exists somewhere in the park................ Take a guess. Its from my #1 of all time. Lol.
itts closing sadly i was there today went on it one lastg time the employees told me its leaving on sunday and today wand tommorow are the lasty time to get your ride.
I keep being told that Cedar Fair doesn’t want competition with Cedar Point for years and I try to ignore it but I’m afraid this is what this situation feels like to me. I’m worried for Magic Mountain and Great Adventure I wish this merger never happened. Steel Vengeance and Millennium Force, Maverick has also had issues and are expensive to operate but they won’t touch those at all. I’m really scared Cedar Fair is going to totally ruin the entire hobby for me.
Even though el toro is my favorite roller coaster of all time next to steel vengeance Gonna miss ka man i love this coaster one of my favorites even though it's a short ride man this sucks and knowing it's gonna be gone forever is just gut wrenching
IT can still be closed. Originally, rumors pointed to 2025, but then it switched suddenly to this year. Obviously, it seems to be a tussle from higher ups. IMO coaster influencer should be doing more to whip up the community to annoy the chain into at least delaying the closing back to its original end date in 2025. Minds have been changed last minute before. Hoping that eventually when they do address they will be doing so on making 2025 the last season rather than cheeping out right now because I assure you many will be flocking if they got an official heads up. Not everyone lives in the tri-state area nor has the means to book last minute trips
I agree it’s a shitty situation. Unfortunately from what I’ve been told about how corporate wants this done and it’s not a park level choice, I don’t think any loud noise in the community will do anything. Suits will be suits

The sign got removed a while ago because they used that line for a second exit during fright fest I guess to reduce any confusion with it being a queue for a ride. The sign really doesn’t mean anything
I don’t wanna think it’ll close but the markers…
Shoot I meant to mention the markers! Pinning this comment because that was the last thing that made me believe what I had already been hearing!
@ 👍
I went today. I heard the ride operators let someone slightly below height limit and said the ride may never be their in a day or two.

Very likely not true but sounds like something someone would incorrectly say happened because they didn’t have the full story

Imagine if it was replaced by a bigger version of Hyperia.

I hadn’t thought of selling scrap as souvenirs. I bet they could make a good amount of the demo cost back if they did it right

Imagine if the park will get an S&S Air Launch the fastest in America
The park just confirmed it!

I really still think it will be extended
Sunday November 10, 2024. Probably the last day.
That’s what I’ve been hearing, I’ve also heard the 17th
people have emailed the park higher ups, they said it will continue to operate. but yall choose to believe annon sources…
@@maincoasters the employee is answers the emails in the guest relations department is pretty f'ing far from a higher-up who would have inside info.
@ and the employees operate the rides…
They are not removing itc... they wouldn't make orange markers to cover it up with rumble from taking down a coaster
Again tallest fastest! Formula Rosa been down forever, even had its launch removed…🤓🤘
Inconsequential. Formula Rosa still exists

This has nothing to do with competition or cedar point. It’s all about cost to maintain and operate

So about 5 years ago sixflags put out that they were re doing it
out of interest, where does the 1m+ operation costs come from?
ISTG if they close this before I ever ride it...
I know it’s too late to tell you this, but get there if you can. I’m sorry you probably never get to ride it
It would be really funny if it didn’t close and all these people that are dead set on it closing look silly.
I’d love this, unfortunately it won’t be happening
@ I personally don’t treat anything as completely true until the park says anything. It seems fairly likely but I’d rather be slightly optimistic.

Conversion coming
Nah
I think it will get a conversion

Converted seems more likely
No it doesn’t
Goodbye Kingda Blah!!
