It’s a state of mind. It’s not hard to leave Apple, the problem is android is more focused on features rather than refinement. Apple is focused on refinement, rather than features. So if android starts to focus more on refinement rather than features. Apple is in big trouble. Or if apple starts focusing on features at this point, they can shut down android altogether. But neither company wants to do that because it’s a money grab for both of them. And foolishly we are the victim. On purpose!

I think Samsung now focuses on features & refinement. The only advantage Apple probably has IMO, is the MacBook but that is very small. One of the main reasons why I will never choose Apple over Samsung is because Apple will try to control u 2 use All Apple products and they have to many limits on how u can use your phone.

I left iPhone 3 months ago despite having 4 other Apple products. I agree that Apple has a nice ecosystem, which is how they trap you. Smart on Apple part. I wonder where Apple would be without the iPhone. It literally is the key to the company in my opinion and Apple knows it.
S24 Ultra is what led me to leave the iPhone, and even with the upcoming iOS 18 update, I have no regrets. Outside of the MacBook, I don't intend on purchasing anymore Apple products in the future. I don't like the feeling of being locked into an ecosystem that doesn't play nice with everyone else. Android/Google stuff works with everything which is how tech/software should be for the consumer in my opinion.

Everything just seems to work seamlessly together, which is convenient for the average consumer. I consider myself new to this tech world and consider myself a lightweight tech enthusiast, but with that said a lot of other tech don’t interest me Android specifically. Now, if I run across a piece of tech that does interest me I’ll tap into it, but when it comes to mobile devices it’s iPhone or nothing. Now I’m over 40 and I have had a few devices in my day and to be honest I was totally against the iPhone when it first came out. Now I don’t see myself ever going anywhere else because it works simply, why try to fix something that’s not broken.

Once you have multiple apple products the convenience of having all the devices work seamlessly together is very hard to leave. If I leave my iPhone I can still get calls or text messages on the iPad and it just works and that is the best part. That being said Samsung does offer a lot of great products that works well together and in some ways can beat apple. I used to go back and forth between the two. I will definitely be leaving apple again once RCS is finally supported on IOS, it's been long over due. iMessage is great but IOS not supporting RCS for this long has definitely been a trap to keep users form switching.

I traded that in for a 13pro, then traded in the 13pro for the 14PM. Got air pods pro, a MacBook, iPad and Beats Studio pro. Never say never, anyone can make the switch back and forth, but continuity of everything that Apple makes with how well each product works together, even if it’s by design and make it harder to leave, it’s still kept me there with Apple for the last couple of years and I don’t see any reason to switch anytime too.

I bought the 14PM and an apple watch series 8 after switching over from Google Pixel 6 Pro. I'm heavy into tech so I thought I'd give it a try after all of these years using Android. I had a hard time. The keyboard was terrible, even when I switched to gboard it was heavily neutered. Another problem I ran into was streaming video from my iphone to my tv via airplay. It would cut out if I opened, say Tiktok, while streaming. Its like the phone couldn't handle both at the same time. Also I regularly read online and listened to tech youtubers tell me that the iPhone never had apps to crash because of the superior optimization. That turned out to be a stretch as well. I experienced more app crashes on my 14PM than I did on my S21 or Pixel 6P. So after a year with 14PM, I gave it to my daughter and got me a Pixel 8 Pro...The only thing that I absolutely LOVED about the iPhone was faceID...the rest of the so-called advantages are clearly personal preference or brand loyalty at this point. I saw somewhere online where the statement was made that "iOS treats you like a "user" and android treats you like an "admin" and I think that fits perfectly.

I can look at the Mac interface a lot longer than looking at a windows interface! I will get a headache lookin at windows after a while.

I was not comparing the Mac to android! I’m explaining why I like Mac OS over windows as I was comparing pc platforms, however since you mentioned android I experience the Same interface effect! iOS is a more pleasant experience especially to look at! Android color combinations are basically the same as windows! Apple’s overall interface (iOS or Mac OS) just looks different and feels different which = more desirable in my experience.

When I switched, I was the inly one using android phone and it’s difficult so i ended going back to iPhone😅, I think we don’t have to hate either apple or android, it’s about the individual’s preference.

I tried leaving Apple and got myself a Z Fold 4. Thought I could replace my phone, tablet and desktop with all in one device.
Problem was the refinement and app optimization wasn’t there. And I had a TON of automation on Siri Shortcut and have yet to find a replacement with android. For the record, yes, I scripted an attendance program that also tallies the number of students all in Siri Shortcuts. As a teacher that is invaluable.

I don’t need to customize anything. I need something that is built extremely well, is aesthetically pleasing but is reliable and durable

The simple answer is…it just works like it should. I’m the family go-to tech guy. And when you have family all over the US, it’s easy to address issues if everyone is on the same ecosystems. I’ve found that Apple devices are the easiest to troublshoot. And if on the rare occasion I can’t do that remotely, there’s always an Apple Store my relatives can go to for additional support. Unless Apple does something to screw up their ecosystem, I’ll likely stay put.

I love the equal opportunity approach! Too many people are stuck one way or the other and I like honest opinions from both sides.
My main reason for considering switching from the ios to android is basically because I want freedom to transfer the contents of my phone, however I like without iCloud or purchasing third party apps. I always run out of space after a few years as I don’t upgrade yearly. I prefer the drag and drop method that android offers.
Tech companies like Apple (the industry leader) create a one and done products like a phone and a computer then split the features to create a new product, the smart watch and tablets. Recycling the wheel like it’s new.
I like the newness of figuring out how a product works not more of the same in different form factors.
I want to break the ecosystem and only use the products that I want or need from whatever company that may be including Apple as you mentioned the iphone is the current gateway drug but to be fair the gateway drug to apple products for me was the ipod in which Apple integrated and made obsolete as a standalone product.

Bro I believe that no matter what your brand of choice is, if you are a tech lover, you must have an iPhone. It's just a must have. A lot of people have iPhones and in my case, all my kids have iPhones so it's easier to stay in contact with them at all times. iPhones have become a status symbol and a must have for those wanting to be in the cool crowd it seems. It's not that it is so much better than the rest, it's just that society has put iPhones up on this pedestal and if you don't have one you are a square. I have all kinds of android devices but I still keep my iPhone. It just works. Nothing fancy or special about it. It just works.

I’m someone that ONLY uses 3rd party apps and on iOS they work like apple made them for the phones and sometimes I forget that I’m even using a phone but when on I’m android ever so now and again microstutters and apps randomly stop working even without any error messages makes it hard for me to switch. For context I’ve used all the way up to a z fold 5. Speed is amazing but apps that I do use aren’t reliable on android. As much as I would LOVE to have a z fold as my primary device for life. I have been using both (ios and android) for a long time, but apples software is hard to get away from. It simply works better for me. The iPhone's connections to their other products is pretty seamless. I also have a PC and a MBP. I'm always on the MBP because the software has much smoother transitions between programs and windows. When I'm writing papers for school, swiping between windows is like butter. On my PC, it's clunky and takes an extra step to do anything. Plus, the battery life is insane. I am not a fan of the file system, but that's not a deal breaker. I don't see myself moving on any time soon.

It depends on how you use your devices. I and most people I know personally are not that immersed into Apple's ecosystem, mainly cuz none of us can afford such walled gardens. I have an S22 Ultra. My wife has a Pixel 7. Most of the rest our friends and family have some variant of an iPhone. Most of us use Windows PC's and laptops. Or Chromebooks. Only like 3 of us actually use a MacBook. None of us use Macs (too expensive). All of our iPhone users stay because of TWO apps and ONE feature. iMessage, FaceTime, and the camera. You can only get iMessage and FaceTime natively on an iPhone. And the iPhone has the easiest camera to work with that takes amazing photos. They don't care about anything else but those three things. Most Android users I personally know choose Android because they have a device that satisfies their individual eccentric personal needs. I personally need a big @$$ beautiful display and the SPen. Easy file management between my phone and other devices is also very useful to me.

I was a dedicated Samsung Note user from the Note 3 until the Note 10+. I made the switch to the iPhone 12Pro Max when Samsung stupidly decided to ditch the S-pen the year I was ready to upgrade. I don’t plan on going back because I could go from that 12Pro max to the 15 pro max without having the feeling of being left out. Other than a few hardware improvements, my 12PM held its own until I felt the 15PM had enough improvements worthy of an upgrade (120hz refresh rate, camera, Dynamic Island, action button, etc.). People don’t leave Apple because you don’t feel left out. EVERYONE gets iOS updates at the same time unlike Android where it was always a guessing game of when which non-Google phone with which carrier would get the update next. And from there, the latest flagship Android phones gets the update first. With Apple, I know I would still be getting iOS 18 if I still had the 12PM. I have no interest in the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Nobody on either side can say this is better than that, because you don't know how the person uses the phone, what's best for them.
iPhone 15 Pro is great, but I'm certainly not going to ridicule an android phone. Think it's better for all of us. S24 Ultra is gorgeous, Xiaomi 14 Ultra is gorgeous also. Hi! I've only had an iphone for years, and an MSI laptop for gamers. I have also used different android phones for years, the last one was the galaxy s24 ultra, which unfortunately is still not quality, but only quantity over and over again. Haven't used a google phone yet, but I changed the s24 ultra to a new xperia because samsung is not quality for me, it's still quantity, what with it looks quite beautiful, the s24 ultra camera just isn't the quality I'm spoiled with by iphone and the iPhone 15 Pro Max is still a quality phone, even if it has its flaws. I don't have the Apple ecosystem, while iOS is simply quality. And the quality among androids is actually Xperia phones, although it also has its own small flaws, Xperia's real camera is even better than iPhone at times. This is my description, knowledge, experiences at this point in time and they don't have to be suitable for others!

I use apple products for work coz the work apps just are more optimized and consistent in IOS. It’s not the fault of the developers they just have to deal with less phones on IOS compared to android and their various skins from various OEMs!

I say this all the time. The fragmentation of Android harms its optimization and always will

I like the fact that you’re honest man in one of your videos you said pictures from Samsung, don’t look good on iPhone and I’ve been the case for me man keep up the good work. I just get bored with iPhone that’s why I’m thinking about switching. to Samsung not that I think it’s better but I just want something different

Like you said it’s the ecosystem, as much as I love Samsung you can’t knock how seamless all of Apple’s product work together especially when moving from device to device. See how easy it is moving from an iPhone to an iPad or MacBook why would I want leave, I’m happy in this ecosystem

and also to be completely honest, i also got myself a second gen iphone se just try out an iphone and even though it's an impressive smarthone (and as i love my ipad pro) there's just no reason to use it.
again, i don't understand this ecosystem talk.
to be completely fair, i only use my iphone se as my wallet as i find more modern biometric scanners annoying.
