That jumper is stunning especially as it is your first colourwork project! Please keep us posted on how it goes. I love the dress you are wearing, that fabric enchanted me from the first time you showed us and the dress suits you so well. I would just wear your dress with the stain , the skirt is so full and it has faded a lot. Although I am a bit intrigued to see how a scrunchy black dye would come out! Thanks for this video ❤

Your knit sweater is gorgeous! I want to try that pattern too, eventually, but I have quite a few things started that I want to complete first. I do love the colours you chose to knit it in. I wouldn't have thought of putting those 2 colours together, but I really like them.

What a beautiful knitting project Amelia. I am neat lemon fairy washing up liquid on all stains type of person and it generally works. Thank you for your video.
Thank you so much for your kind words about the knitting project and your advice about the stain! I think I will just wear the dress now the way it is and then before I wash it next time I will put some fairy liquid on it and let it sit for a good few hours 😊
Your knitting is so beautiful and you are, definitely,not a novice knitter.The remainder of the jumper is going to be so relaxing for you. I love all your makes. I would wear the denim dress as the stain is so small and would look like a shadow, although I don't think you'd notice it. If you use a tiny drop of original fairy liquid and gently rub it ,in circular motions from the outside of the stain to the inside,using a soft baby toothbrush.Then wet it ,repeat the brushing and then put it in a complete wash cycle it should come out. I've used this for grass,blood,biro stains etc and it always works. I would dry iron the area you treated ,with margarine ,using brown paper to cover it.This will insure all the fat content as been removed, especially if you decide to dye it.

You could try neat washing up liquid what you use to do the dishes it works well on tough stains.

I’d definitely wear the dress. The mark is not very noticeable . Love the interesting neck detail on your Caitlin Hunter jumper. I have been knitting on cable needles for about 10 years. I wouldn’t use anything else.
Thank you very much! I really like the interesting detail on the neckline too! It also features on the sleeve cuff and waistband too! Are the cable needles the 4 different needles or the long round needle like I have? Sorry I don't know the difference. I usually would knit flat then sew the different parts up. I am enjoying knitting in the round so far though! 😊
I would also recommend neat good quality washing up liquid (fairy),
Rub it in with your finger,leave it 24 hours. Then just launder as normal 🤞🏻
Thank you so much for the advice on the stain! I will give this a go! The stain has definitely shrunk which is great! I think it is wearable now but will give it one more wash after using the Fairy liquid as you suggested 😊
I have also used washing up liquid to remove oil/grease. Soak it in and then add water and do a bit of rubbing. Don’t put margarine on first

Yes, this dress did feature on the Sewing Bee! I can't remember who made it though! It really is a lovely pattern. And not to difficult to make 😊
Using washing up liquid onto fabric,fold fabric on itself then leave for 12 to 24 hrs..it should go.😊

Have you considered undoing the gathering above it, cutting the piece out in a strip, sewing a seam, then re-do the gathering. Would that work? 😊
Yes, this is a good idea and I am sure it will work. But the fabric is quite faded now and I don't have any of the original fabric left. I did consider a whole different skirt too. But I think the stain is small enough to try to remove it one more time and then just wear it. Thank you for your suggestion! 😊
Not sure if you have this in UK but the velvet / sunlight soap or Italian soap used for washing clothes gets alls stain out we have these in Aust and Italian soap works brilliantly
I remember having sunlight soap on NZ when I lived there. I will see if I can get my hand on something similar here. Thank you 😊
It’s not a noticeable stain. Even with you pointing it out and in direct light, it’s not that noticeable amongst the folds of the skirt. Wear the dress as is 👍🏽
