I just installed my lindsight battery. The G3 models and I also have yet to install the lie control end. I have questions that may be you could help me answer as far as the programming goes. Can you control the amount of regen as well as assis

John aka Mudder told me that MIMA works with Libcm, I have the same Gen 3 lithium conversion as you do.
MIMA doesn't have the wheel to progressively allow assist but it does use the joystick in the same way.
Have you ever used that before as far as I comparison between this and MIMA?
I also have a 2001 manual transmission blue same color is the one you have here with low mileage I'm going to pull my LIBCM out of my silver one that has three times as many miles and stick it on the blue car.

I have not used MIMA, only LiControl. My honest opinion is that LiControl and MIMA are useless without a battery that has much more power than the stock configuration. I have the Gen 3 lithium cells, I'm able to get about +3 mpgs with LiControl. Is it worth the money and work to install? No. But it's a cool novelty.

@@gray25xt I used MIMA on stock IMA before but since I went to Lithium I have the same set of you do with a generation three insight lithium battery swap.
      With a 40% hack.
I haven't hooked up mima on this yet of my other car

@@gray25xtI've had MIMA for years on stock packs. I had a 112 mile round trip commute for work daily which had about 4500ft uphill elevation change and my best tank was 896 miles. You don't need to drive on battery only to get the benefits of a manual IMA system. On long uphill sections it comes in handy to torque fill to maintain a certain minimum MPG and just regen down hills or on long straights. I was able to get tons of benefit from it without having to charge after every trip, just depends on how to play with it and what your goals are.

Yeah with mima you can also Force generate battery as well, it does so much more than say the hack can do. You can do it when you're going down a hill or coming off the highway ramp as you're slowing down you just force generate it and it regenerates quite quickly.

If I hadn't just put a new Bumblebee NiMH battery in last year, I'd be doing the Li upgrade project. Ah well, maybe in another five years when the NiMH kicks the bucket.

I got the bumblee battery about 4yrs ago and its starting to degrade with sooner depletion with forced charge but still functional. I'm thinking a battery plug-in charger option but with this new development with an American based enthusiast, I'm HIGHLY interest in doing this upgrade!
