Great DIY OBD2 Scanner for Honda/Acura! - Launch X431 Elite - Test & Review

Launch offers a wide range of scanners - this is one of their entry level scanners that is compact yet capable of doing many tasks you might want to accomplish as a do-it-yourself automotive enthusiast.
Tested on a 2005 Honda S2000, this scanner offers bi-directional capability in addition to basic code reading and clearing functionality. It can also program keys to your immobilizer. For newer Honda/Acura models, it offers electronic parking brake actuation and battery registration.
Launch does things a bit differently - they have a Mall option within the scanner so you can purchase additional functionality. The scanner is also WiFi enabled, allowing you to make purchases wirelessly. This particular scanner is advertised to have free lifetime updates - so far I have updated the software once without any issues.
If you are a DIY'er who works on mostly Honda/Acura models as new as 2022 models, this is a scanner to consider! It's priced competitively and ships with the right functionality you'll need in your home driveway or garage.
