My older siblings always talked about how great this ride was when it first opened, it was pitch black, foggy as hell, music was loud, lasers were bright as well, it was cold and the ride was fast, animatronics were brand new...it sounded like a great time
yeah its bad and rip to some of aussies only animantronics in rides but.. at least we still have the ride and its still got the thrilling turns and earrape turnaround!
If they get rid of the screens, remove the Scrappy Doo part and bring back the old elevator voice line and put Scooby animatronics back throughout the ride it will be great again.

The parts I loved were the animatronics of scooby, from what I recall, there was also a flying ghost that roared when the ride picked up speed. That scared me but I loved it. That was back in 2009. Most recently in 2016 we made the trip back, and it still hadn't changed even then. While it looks really cool now and this ride will hold a special place in my heart. It's really nothing compared to my first experience 💙

They closed it down and gutted the inside castle walls around the track area because it didn't meet fire standards for the inspections that took place after the dreamworld raft accident. The new walls were also delayed.
i went on it at the beginning of 2018 and it was absolutely bull shit, they should've closed it can't believe you went a year later and it was the same.
I wish the lady wasn’t screaming because I’m at it right now waiting in line, and I just finished being on super man so I wish she didn’t scream so I could be prepared
Okay. What would make it great for people on both sides. Keep the fast pace strobe lights room, get rid of the screens with the crappy cgi monsters, and keep in all the animatronics. That would make it perfect again.
The likely reason they got rid of the animatronics was to reduce maintenance issues (namely, reducing cost), the coaster is pretty old these days -nearly 20 years old- and they’re probably reducing the cost so they can run it just a bit longer before replacing it. Unfortunately if a coaster doesn’t define the park they won’t fight to keep it, Superman Escape is likely safe for a long while -assuming maintenance doesn’t get out of control- because it’s pretty much come to define the park at its best.

I actually went on that ride once and i was with my family, when the ride started, i thought i was gonna be sick on the ride (but i didnt) and the roaring from the monsters hurt my eardrums :') and then we went up to the part where we went up and tilting sorta, my parents were making sounds like "woooahh haha" and i didnt mind until the backwards part when we went backwards it felt like gravity pushed me down, and what was worst that we went left and right and my parents were laughing while i was dead silent while i was covering my eyes from the blinding light until the ride was over and i said to my family "im not going on that ride again for a long time"
I love the light show/rollercoaster room. I would love to go to Australia someday, and experience this. I just gotta avoid the deadly spiders and creatures in Australia as I make way to Movie World.

The purple and green lights kinda ruined it. The last time I went on it you could actually see the track pretty well but in a certain way that you couldn't see the flour making it look like an infinite hole.
So they made the thing from the movie real. Kinda. As someone who has always wanted to ride it, this is a dream come true, and I'm surprised I've never heard about it until now. Ignorant American things, I guess.

This ride and Bermuda Triangle at Sea World were bomb.
The smoke and lasers and theming were way better back then
Sometimes there was no smoke, so you couldn't see the laser beams. They must have run out. It was way better with the smoke.

I live in AU’s and I’ve never seen a snake and 4 spiders, so it’s extremely rare to see one
