This coaster is almost 20 years old and I didn't know until now that it had a dark ride area - I'm very impressed. The timing with the vocals when launching - excellent. A great medium-sized Intamin hydraulic launcher.
@Nordlicht88 We loved it. The theming section at the start was really well done, the launch was intense (as is the case on most Intamin hydrolic launches), and the airtime was great!
This is one of the most nostalgic and probably my favorite non-Disney/Universal themed coaster for me. I used to (and still do) watch theme park ride povs, and that was the basis for how I became a coaster enthusiast. This is one of my top bucket list coasters for me because I found the police car set so entertaining in those circa 2010 videos I watched
@AstroBlitz64 It's an amazing coaster. There aren't too many of these Intamin hydrolic launch coasters left now, sadly. This definitely lived up to expectations 🙂
@Pleemus We wouldn't say their lines were any longer than any other park we've visited. This is also a longer experience compared to most other Intamin hydrolic launch coasters 🙂
@mynameiskrysta It was strapped to my chest, but yes, I could move it a little. That's how the camera pans to the left a little when passing each set piece in the dark section 🙂
It doesn't, really. It was an Intamin thing around the time this coaster was built. They have the same restraints on other hydrolic launch coasters built around the same time, like Stealth, Kingda Ka, Rita, etc. They're perfectly comfortable though. We experienced zero head banging while riding.
It wasn't back into the crumbling subway, it was into a safe and secure subway where we could depart the train 🙂 You'll notice where we get off is not the same station as we boarded. This is actually quite a long coaster for an Intamin hydrolic coaster. Most definitely longer than a lot of the other coasters of this type. You take the layout at an extremely high speed, so it does make the coaster feel a bit shorter.
I’ve always loved the fact that superman is pushing the train
It's a great touch 🙂
Little superman on the back pushing is adorable!
It's a great little touch. Especially as Superman says just before the launch he's going to push you out of the subway, fast!

Very nice POV! I'm impressed how quickly the catapult engages.
@CubbyTech Thank you 🙂 It's an extremely impressive coaster, the launch is incredible.
Omg I went on today, super impressive, the launch was mental, the vid doesn’t do it justice, but amazing vid also 🙏
@harrymina259 Thank you 🙂 Yes, the launch in crazy, so intense!
Same but I hear "I'll push you outta here fast, superman fast." And then it launches? What happened to the superman-fast bit?
@@--BloxyCoola-- 0.0 mph - 62.1 mph in 2.0s is a fast launch. Accelerating at faster than 31.0 mph per second feels extremely forceful.
That initial launch was awesome. This ride look sick!
@@natedawg3855 It's ace!
This is my 2nd favourite ride here. I really love it. Shame it doesn't go for long but other than that. It's an awesome coaster
@@cakeman8406 Agree, the launch is incredible!
Rode this when it was new back in 2006. Still looks just as awesome.
It is 🙂
Its rare to see hydraulic launches im glad to see this one is still standing and in Australia
@spirobrine Same here, it's amazing 😁
Looks great! 🙌🎢💨

Attention! attention! the earthquake are tremors are increasing!
@@VelocicoasterFanboy Indeed!
It only says the earthquake tremors are increasing. You’re hearing extra words that aren’t there.

Great video
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
not many of these intiman accelerators left. cherish it while it lasts
@MattGames7734 Absolutely. It's a shame, as they're incredible coasters. Nothing to this day can compare to the acceleration they offer on the launch.
i love these videos they make me feel happy Love u Guys!!!!!!!!!

Wow looks fantastic
@karlhughes4443 It's amazing, we loved it. The launch is so intense.

Rule number 1, go on a weekday not a weekend. Lines are short.

I have seen POV's of this ride over the years, but somehow I have always missed the darkride section.I had no idea!

Running super fast!!

wow it really just barely clears that first hill I thought it was going to roll back.

Looks and seems way more fun than superman at magic mountain

Not sure I understand why this ride has the over the shoulder restraints. 🤔

Too short.
It's one of the longer Intamin hydrolic launch coasters 🙂
I wish it had inversions
While it would be nice, it doesn't really need them. The intensity of the launch followed the airtime is more than enough to make it a great coaster 🙂
Why would Superman push them back into the crumbling subway?
