There’s so much dead space on this ride. It makes you view everything from far away as opposed to making you feel like you’ve been drawn in. Not immersive at all.
OgreMagic yes and it’s nowhere near my other favorite trackless rides like Pooh’s Hunny Hunt at Disney Tokyo or Mystic Manor in Hong Kong. I thought Ratatouille in Disney Paris was the worst trackless ride I’d been on until this one.
Looks great and is loyal to the animated series but like others said...its rather boring and with it having such a large track its has no sense of intimacy you find in other dark rides.
@warpedg You nailed it exactly. The space is so wide, it's difficult to get invested in the storytelling. It's weird to see the other potential mysteries around the space. The other rooms should be dark so you don't realize that your particular adventure is randomized. The villain's head could change so it's a different perp each time you ride the attraction. I can't complain because it is so marvelous to see a Scooby-Doo ride.
god it’s so dead it’s empty on these rides. so much unused wasted and unappreciated space. It’s just not the target audience for the residences of Dubai. It would fit more perfectly at parks in the states or Europe.
Yeah but the difference is, Dubai has money to burn on pet projects like this. Europe doesn't without muscling in on parks like Euro Disneyland, Parc Asterix or that cool German one that I cannot remember the name of.
Even though I don't live in the US it's always kinda bothered me how there isn't any Scooby doo ride in the US. I mean Australia has that Scooby doo indoor coaster but that's because they made the 2002 film there
Master Knife - there were a couple good ones at the former “Paramount” parks, but they went away when Paramount got out of the theme park business and broke up the chain. Kings Island in Ohio was part of the chain, and had a number of good “IP” type attractions. All that had to be stripped out after the sale, and for a time, it was a theme park with NO theme. Better now, still not great.
I think this ride is good for families, because it is suppose to be spooky, but it is not scary. Also, the whole family seems to be able to ride together. I’m a huge Scooby fan so I would love this ride no matter what. In saying that, it could be improved.
I freaking love Scooby! I'm heart broken that we lost of the original voice actors. Frank Welker is the best Scooby ever :D . Dog spelled backwards is God :)
Yeah and sadly they really don’t have the trackless system do anything an Omnimover couldn’t do. Imagine the chase scene if for a minute the cars all broke off and the monster was in their own vehicles chasing each guests/a car with Scooby and Shaggy instead of a minor jump scare. That would be cool and justify the use of the trackless system.
@@cocopun Don’t trust others, I went and it was the greatest thing to happen in my life! Whether old or young, you’re gonna enjoy without dying, I like that.

This is spook-tacular! 50 years later, somebody finally created a Scooby-Doo ride. I wish I could see it in person. It's so fun and silly. So much craftsmanship went into this. Why don't we have this in the US? I wonder what sort of Hanna-Barbera merchandise they sell at this park.
Even though I don't live in Abu Dhabi I think this ride is off the hook. Sure, the animatronics are not even close to advanced but I think what makes up for it is the fact that many recognizable ghouls and monsters from years past make a grand return like The Ghost of Elias Kingston, The Ghost of Redbeard, The Phantom Shadow, The Phantom of Vasquez Castle, The 10,000 Volt Ghost, The Ghost of Captain Cutler, The Spooky Space Kook, The Mummy of Ankha, The Ghost of Zen Tuo, The Black Knight, The Dragon, The Witch, and The Bald Zombie. Many Scooby Doo fans would be thrilled if they noticed them.
In Australia we have one movie theme park and everyone knows the best ride is Scooby Doo. Even though it's about 20 years old and no where near as flash as this one, but we all love it! There's always a lineup for it at Movie World, yet this theme park barely has anyone waiting for it!
Are there really people who think this is a bad dark ride?! Seriously, come and see what "dark rides" we have in the UK - this is a masterpiece compared to what we have! I would love something like this in the UK.

Cannot agree more. This ride is the perfect definition of why you should ride a ride before being negative about it. It's superbly well done and is the perfect conversion of an episode into a ride. Get out there and try it!
At 11:55, the car stops and you see all the characters. LOOK HOW FAR THEY ARE! There’s nothing in between. This does not help the person with less than good eyesight, and I wear glasses for near sightedness. Ugh!
You watch this trackless ride and it’s okay, then you watch Disneyland’s Star Wars ride or Winnie the Pooh or Mystic Manor trackless tide... and you’re blown away!
