I'm just gonna point this out to you guys.
For anyone of you or anybody in this fantastic community that is ever going through something, don't be afraid to speak up. We are all against the darkness as 1 giant team.
And as for people calling Patrick fat. I understand he can take it, and I understand all this. But what it boils down to is the fact that day in day out, you 3 are such an incredible group of friends. Not only do you put time and effort into what you do, but you remain humble. People will always have something to hate on. But you know what? Keep going. Because it'll piss them off even more. That's what haters hate the most... being wrong, which they are most of the time anyway.
Keep doing what you guys are doing, never ever feel like you have to rush into videos because you don't owe us anything at all. It is us who should be saying thank you. You started small, and with a community by your side, you've only grown as a team.
Never give up. And I mean it, life may throw you down, but you've gotten this far, which shows your passion.
Take care of your family, take care of your friends...and never...bet against yourself.
It doesn't matter if its 1 person, 2 people or 400 people. Just know you've brightened someone's day with these videos.
We love y'all. Don't ever forget that. ❤️❤️❤️

Hearing you guys talk about music and production in general would just be really interesting.
Also having songs and parts to play to show examples of what you all like/don’t like during that conversation would be cool too

I enjoy your videos. The observations are objective and honest. I don't agree with a number of Patrick's opinions, but he's entitled to them and I enjoy the discourse.
    Also, One is awesome.

Thank you for making these reactions! You guys are my biggest UA-cam discovery this year, I watched your Metallica videos countless times and learned a lot about audio and you definitely made me rethink my position on many Metallica albums. I really enjoy the dynamics of the three of you and it was so cool to see you and the channel grow.
I am currently going through a career change so this is a special time of my life where I have to work very hard to land my dream job, and because I was watching so much of your content whenever I took a break, this whole period got associated with your videos and I believe I will feel nostalgia in the future when I get to watch them again.
Thank you for this whole journey! Ignore the haters, this was worth it.

Привет! I've been waiting for every one of your Metallica videos for 5 months now, and I've been making time to listen to it on purpose: I don't want anyone to get in the way. I am literally REOPENING for myself every album, every song. You're doing a great job! I'm 24 years old, I've been listening to Metallica since I was 7-9 years old, when my dad used to put their songs in the car. But I never got so deeply into it, although it seemed that after 300 listens I would never hear anything new. These are real discoveries. You teach me to look at music from a different angle on my own already and without you.
I was closing the eyes and enjoyed music with you'all in Hong Kong, in Taipei, and now in Bangkok. I myself am from Russia, St. Petersburg. Will be with you further on this journey. Plus for me it's another 3 hours practice of American English by ear every time. Can't wait to hear your reaction to my favourite song in general: "Turn the Page". Then there's Hetfield bluesy voice from Load on tracks like Master of Puppets or Battery.... or One...)) This would be not Metal. Good luck

Have loved your reactions. For the record, St. Anger brought me back. Load and Re-Load were my disappointments. I can deal with much more of today than I could back then…but still. I think DM was great.

I absolutely love the chemistry between you all. Its brilliant & funny to watch/hear.
I actually completely agree with Patrick that its not okay for people to be okay with THE BIGGEST hard rock/metal band of all time to release piss poor albums when they have zero excuse for it.
And having to wait almost 15yrs for them to go back to being heavy.
Dont get me wrong i love some parts from Load, Reload, Garage Inc, St Anger, DM & Hardwired (Not 72 Seasons at all. thats my least fave Metallica yet personally*) BUT that does excuse it.
Its weird. Its a complex relationship when you actually start reflecting & actually thinking about it BUT its like a love/hate & hope mindset i guess, if you get me.

The Lady Gaga situation was this: when they performed live on the TV broadcast, James' microphone failed. They finished the song as planned, but you literally cannot hear James at all throughout the performance. You can see his frustration at the end of the performance. The fan who created the edit was likely able to do so because I believe Metallica themselves released a video showing 'how it was supposed to go' after the fact that featured rehearsal footage.
The "Presidio" recordings are completely unnecessary. You are right about that Patrick. One note, though, is that one of the songs they started but technically never finished was called "Temptation." However, whether it was intentional or not, you can definitely hear the roots of "If Darkness Had a Son" from '72 Seasons' in that failed song. Obviously, it took James years to allow that song to materialize and he brought in those unfinished elements, whether he meant to or not.

I must really find you guys entertaining because I keep watching your videos, even this one, despite the fact that you always (especially Patrick) say things that annoy me. Because of that annoyance, I wish the last song on Hardwired was a 12 minute instrumental with a 5 minute bass solo in the middle, plus fade in and fade out, just to see it drive Patrick crazy. 😂

I know it’s like a meme at this point but really would like a real breakdown of why you don’t like One, Patrick. Personally I find the clean solos, the dense guitar parts, and the interesting form with the 2/4 measures interspersed compelling. And, take it or leave it, the lyrics get across what they’re supposed to get across. But I would really like a deep dive and even if you hate it it would at the very least be a popular video to upload.

No Spotify end of the year playlist or LastFM "most played" list could ever depict the amount of times I have listened to Metallica's pre 00's albums. Starting from the ripe age of 9 I had some years I hardly listened to anything else and would ruin the bootleg cassette tapes I had. Metallica is The one band that really influenced me musically, even after being omnivorous music listener for 30 years. Love them to death, but oh boy can they frustrate you to no end.

If you guys do live metallica reactions, can you consider “new song”. It’s basically an unreleased compilation of death magnetic

Bought St. Anger the day it released, listened all in one-go on my stereo and by the end of it my head was nuts, big headache because of the snare but overall it was an OK album. Death Magnetic IS the best produced album after the LOAD/RELOAD era, loved the vocals on them and loved them here while on 72 Seasons the variable sound of James voice is probably due to how they each record it during C@vid and put it together .

Also, I don’t want to be a nag but I know how easy it is to forget YT comments but please listen to bass-mixes for Metallica.
Not just the obvious And Justice for All remixes but stuff off of Master and Ride sound so different with more bass. Call of Ktulu and Orion in particular are good choices but an hour or two of various tracks would very illuminating.

The quality of whatever is out there from the "Presidio Sessions" is so terrible mostly because it's someone's best attempt at separating out whatever was used in the distant background of the Some Kind of Monster movie. Then there's a lot of guess work in whatever was cut/pasted together. If that stuff is ever officially released, it'll probably be whenever they get the St Anger remaster box set done. (They are only up to the black album, with Load/Reload being worked on now)

They dont want to remaster the sound because they dont want to change history of that album coming out. That's why they dont remix the albums. It isnt hard to understand. They are what they are. You cant just go back and change things, you might as well start writing different solos etc.
