He’s got the idle speed turned up is all that is. the pump for the hydraulics is engine driven so the faster the engine speed the less strain the pump has on it for moving it and the implement at the same time as well as speed for the travel and up/down and curl/dump is increased. Engine is probably worn out from its age and yrs of use and abuse so it just smokes a lot under load.
Hey Eric once you get it exactly where you want it you can mark where it is with paint of something like that on the trailer deck ,and it will make it easier to put it back in the same spot next time you load it.
"Have Camper, Will Travel" reads the card of a man... Man, driving that thing blind!!! This is where a radio (with a headset) comes in handy. Your spotter can tell you what to do etc; the phrase "looking good, keep her straight" sure sounds good in the headset. But, you guys did a great job!!!
Hey good job , next time you put on or take off the camper, if you do , pick it up and move the trailer to the camper and not the camper to the trailer, I would like to think there's a lot less risk of personal injury and mechanical damage, just a thought
recoveryteam no matter how wide the camper is versus the trailer. Use the bobcat to raise the camper and then back the trailer under it. No jacks required and then you can see to maneuver it in to position. Less likely to tip it over by driving the jerky skid steer. Just raise it straight up and back straight under it.
recoveryteam you could pull the trailer up beside the camper then lift the camper and drive a few feet forward and just set it down on the trailer. Would save some time and worry about it flipping over.
Ya it must have been difficult .....especially when the fog rolled in aye! ......it sounded like Seat cover was having kittens before she left the camera! ......good to see it all worked out well in the end my friend!
Now just need to wire a 7 prong plug at the nose of the trailer so you can plug the camper in to charge and run the camper off the trk when hooked up good job
I want to do the same thing, but I want to permanently mount the camper to the trailer and I would probably put some boxes on the sides of the camper where it is normally slid into the bed, that way I could have tools and other recovery gear along with more camping stuff,
You need to build a box for the camper to set down into and remount the Jack's on the box that will give you storage and make the Jack's pivot so you can load and unload it the way it was designed. Unless you plan on it being a permanent setup.
Hillbilly Holler don't forget the AC unit on top that adds 8 to 10 in I'd still be out there measuring just be on the safe side a lot of these damn gas station car ports there are only 12 or 13 foot tall some less.
Jimmy Turner oh yeah I would measure too. But eric being about 5 foot 6 ....ish I doubled his height and included the a/c unit in my guesstimate Most cab over campers are 81 inches or 6 feet 9 inches then add 1 foot for the a/c unit. Then add an overestimate 4 feet for the trailer deck height
If you can load the wrecker and the jeep behind the camper I'd just permanently mount it and mount some boxes in the cutouts for stuff you could use at camp
Maybe move the trailer to it's next to the camper and then lift the camper up and move it sideways onto the trailer. Minimize the movement needed with the camper in the air. It's also safer if you pick the camper up so it's on the uphill side of the bobcat. I'd also probably lower the jacks so they sit on the deck when the camper is on the trailer.
I figured you was going to mount it semi-permanently. You said take it on and off you're braver man than I am. But like somebody else said I think I'm back trailer under it instead of trying to wiggle around the bobcat.
recoveryteam I get that part Eric but just lift it with the Bobcat then back the trailer under it. Just a idea. I have seen some guys take a 8ft pop up camping trailer mount it sideways at the front of the trailer after taking off the axle and tongue also seen a couple mounted on top of the gooseneck that kind of scares me though.
That engine was building a lot of crank case pressure, and passing out oil at every gasket and seal. It was worn out. I put a good used engine this spring, and now it ons good, check out some of the newer videos of the m970.
boy you need to drive that thing more to learn how to drive it. and why are you running it wide open a 1/4 of that should be fine? and tell the old lady to stay the hell out from under heavy loads or she may end up dead be that your not the best driver. when lifting a load with a skid steer that is over its said lifting weight keep it tipped back then if you do tip the load lands flat it will also shift the weight to the back of the forks also more stable. sorry that sound a little harsh but it can be life and death best to be safe. thanks for sharing
Holding ur hands above your head while the camper is over your head. Genius.
I was thinking the same thing bro
Wouldn't itbe easier to back the trailer under the camper?
Thats how id do it lol
I think ur bobcat needs to cut back to one pack a smokes a day! lol

seat cover, were you going to catch the camper if it tipped over?
using the "force"

Great video the inside space is very much needed im sure
lady not worth saving the camper over your life
Both me and the wife envy the tow truck but I really envy the big Bob. Only one I ever seen still runs and not scrapped.

I agree 100%. I read going to post the same thing but I knew I would find someone else with another common since to suggest this.
Trailer is wider than the jacks, and 45 foot long deck.

Yep I agree
I like it, I met some guys that had a setup like that but with a pop up camper, it was a really great rig even had a shower.
She does know that if the camper fell it would just crush her right?
Nice job of loading the camper, the Bobcat does need that engine put in soon.
Old Bob needs that heart transplant sooner than later!! Thst new camper is sweet!!
Ya it must have been difficult .....especially when the fog rolled in aye! ......it sounded like Seat cover was having kittens before she left the camera! ......good to see it all worked out well in the end my friend!
Cool new camper! Nice Job getting it loaded.
Now just need to wire a 7 prong plug at the nose of the trailer so you can plug the camper in to charge and run the camper off the trk when hooked up good job
Eric the easiest way would be to lift the camper up and back the trailer under it... and a lot safer for all.
Interesting video... What size is that bobcat?
I hate to say this but seat cover were you going to catch the camper if it tipped? I think the bob cat needs to cut down on its smoking.
Hey boss your bobcat is smoking just a bit
I want to do the same thing, but I want to permanently mount the camper to the trailer and I would probably put some boxes on the sides of the camper where it is normally slid into the bed, that way I could have tools and other recovery gear along with more camping stuff,
Cool build brother. You could attach cleats for the rectangular tubing to sit in to locate the camper more easily when you reattach it
Billy d x2
I would put a piece of rubber in tube between the metal and the camper just saying. It's not necessary but will help from sliding around
It might have been easier to reverse the trailer underneath the camper instead of risking dropping it just a suggestion
need to see it loaded ready to go
i would check your height clearance and write it down.gas station canopys and backroad bridges can be an issue.
Nice camper , Get a bit more room with a pull trailer take the axle out , makes a nice 5th wheel camper too ,I bought a 10 footer to do that with
First LOL !! You guys are the best 😁
Would like to see more of this
Lol she gonna catch it if it falks?
That is a huge skid steer.
You need to build a box for the camper to set down into and remount the Jack's on the box that will give you storage and make the Jack's pivot so you can load and unload it the way it was designed. Unless you plan on it being a permanent setup.
I think your Bobcat needs rings, next video!
She did just fine
Why not pick it up got seat cover back under it just curious
Better take a measurement for your height as you never know what you could encounter on your travels.
HughzieTube looks like its about 12 feet so he shouldnt have any issues.
Going by his height standing beside the camper.
Hillbilly Holler don't forget the AC unit on top that adds 8 to 10 in I'd still be out there measuring just be on the safe side a lot of these damn gas station car ports there are only 12 or 13 foot tall some less.

Then add an overestimate 4 feet for the trailer deck height
Yep. The 11 foot 8 bridge has knocked off many an air conditioner.
These are becoming very common now, look up crawler haulers.
If you can load the wrecker and the jeep behind the camper I'd just permanently mount it and mount some boxes in the cutouts for stuff you could use at camp
Props; I had to build mine...

Seat cover is going to get pounded in that toy hauler
How do you like that Texas Pride Trailer?
Is That a leaky head gskt. on your bobcat or what?
You might put some bracing on the overhead part of the camper to the trailer
Super nice work bud , seat cover is your kid ,
I figured you was going to mount it semi-permanently. You said take it on and off you're braver man than I am. But like somebody else said I think I'm back trailer under it instead of trying to wiggle around the bobcat.

Perfect. Trailer park girl
I can see now why you are going to replace the Bobcat motor!
we pick ours up with lift then back trailer under
You bet. Love it
very nice
Your tow vehicle the newer Silverado does it have the 8.1 in it ?
6.6 d max
“Rectangular square tubing”
Oh boy I'll hold it up if it falls lmao
Never stand under a heady load, my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try marking lines in dirt to give you guidelines
Melrose made awesome bobcats too bad the six wheelers never took off
I think the bobcat was burning something
is that bobcat smoking or is Cheech and Chong in there?
U need a long guide off the trailers
Definitely don’t want to leave your bourbon on the counter.
Why didn't you just park trailer in front of camper, pick camper up and back trailer under camper? That's how we load large items with the wreckers
Camper jacks narrower than the trailer, and trailer has 45 foot deck.
Great idea.
Should have just lifted camper up. And backed trailer under it
Was she gonna catch it if it fell? Haha
I wanna hang out with yuall at BSF Recovery!
why is it that your bobcat smokes so much and not from the exaust
That engine was building a lot of crank case pressure, and passing out oil at every gasket and seal. It was worn out. I put a good used engine this spring, and now it ons good, check out some of the newer videos of the m970.
What's up
No mosquitos at your place....
Antique bobcat looks very tired
Why not just back the trailer under it ?
Should of got your old lady a tent instead of a camper, spent the money on a motor for the Bobcat.
next time just lift it up and back the trailor under it, sometimes its easer to move the trailor not the load
Trailer is wider than the jacks, and 45 foot long deck.
Seat cover? is this your wife.or daughter? and meaning behind that nickname?
She is my wife, Seat Cover is an old trucking CB term for Female passenger.
@@offroadrecoveryteam thank you
You need more weight on the back of the Bobcat when you move something like that bouncing up and down in the video
Sleep with your feet facing the window put a board between the two seats t
make marks on the trailer before you unload it so you can do it better next time
Woo hoo
There shouldnt be any mosquitos around...lol...
Mara can anyone laugh 🙂
Live it
common sense would tell you to just back the trailer up
Hi
O ok
dam second. o well i will live
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👍👍👍
why don't you just put it on the duramax?
Your wife?

Everything about "Seat Cover" is cringe.
seat covers fired...
I'm not sure why u didnt back the trailer next to the camper and put it on you do things the hard way another painfull episode
Irritating voice from the girl
