That was the most beautiful dump cake video I ever watched. I actually CRIED when you said it was a plate of pure love for family. Then, you started to eat it and a commercial came on and I was like "oh no! I want to see her finish it!" And I never say that, I've usually shut a video off long before that. Thankfully, the video resumed! I'm making this cake tonight for my 91 year dad and my adult disabled son. It will make their night. YOU, my sister, are a very special person!
I've been making dump cakes for years. Now I'll start "bumping up" my fruit fillings. I sprinkle chopped pecans on top as well as pats of "real butter." I also bake for an hour in a gas oven. Thanks Gina!
Thank you Miss Gina. I made this for my family. They think I'm a genius. They asked me what's in it. I said the main ingredient is extra LOVE. Thank you💞
This looks so delicious! Thank you, Gina! Don't forget to stir those peaches, once you add the corn starch in the hot pan. If you don't, you could get lumps in your peach sauce!!!!! The heat thickens the corn starch, once it reaches a certain temperature, but you need to stir it to keep the sauce nice and smooth. This is so much easier than traditional peach cobbler, and I'm sure even better! Can't wait to make it! One word of warning: If you make too much cornstarch slurry, don't pour it down your sink. It'll block your pipes like it was concrete, and you'll be calling a plumber! Ask me how I know this??? You could build a house with bricks, water, and cornstarch!!
Gina I had made a homemade box cake that was sitting in my pantry just waiting for something special recently .. And then I stumbled over your Dump Peach Cobbler!! I had Summer peaches in freezer I added some fresh blueberries& strawberries & the can of crushed pineapple .. Saw your video and HAD to make your version of a dump cake! I had a few things left after making my Christmas dinner that I thought would make good additions. I had half a bar of cream cheese so I pinched tiny pieces of it and put it on top of the filling before I added the cake mix. The only cake mix I had was french vanilla, which I had never made before, but it was perfect with your filling! After I put the butter on the cake, I sprinkled on the cup of oatmeal, butter, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, brown sugar, flour crumbles I had left over from making the topping for my sweet potato casserole. This is honestly the BEST cake I have ever put on my families table! And I used to make bake cakes for a living!
