Those of us that were around in the 80s know that the Katana in the title card for this video is a resto mod. The original didn't have upside down forks.
Some nice bikes: I could think of those 3 to be added : 1984 GPZ 900R Kawasaki, 1984 Yamaha RD/RZ 500 & 1985 Suzuki RG 500. By the way, first year CB 1100R Honda- the Rb model, had 115 HP, as you said. The later 1982/83 versions, year-code c & d, both had 120 HP, and full fairing, a smaller fromt wheel, etc, compared to the 1981 model.
I kicked myself for selling my first bike, a mint '80 RD400( I had chambers and a few goodies added) in '86 with 16000kms(10000 miles) even before I saw it when the girl who bought it from me dumped it, then her brother flipped it over doing wheelies, all only a month after I sold it! I was two days without a bike, when I went to the local bike dealer and first laid eyes on a new, Kawi ZL900 Eliminator. Wished I'd kept the RD too. I still have the Eliminator to this day as I knew I'd kick my ass if I sold it and saw it wrecked!
My buddy had the 750 turbo from new, when I bought my 900 Eliminator new in our last year of high school. He could wheelie that thing for a mile. He is a wizard in the machine shop, has built a few KZ1100 Eddie Lawson replicas (he's totally anal about the details, still has one,), built a '78 KZ1000 with a drag bike stance and has built a wild looking 1100 Katana. He's put 180 rear tires on all three!
Sorry your opening comments about the Katana being "nothing out of the ordinary" is far from correct this bike broke the mold and was like nothing else out there, it was a game changer and is considered the great grand daddy of all modern bikes a true changing point in motor cycle evolution.
"I really appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective. Your comment, along with many others, has helped me see this issue more clearly. You're absolutely right, and I'll be addressing this in a future video. Please continue to engage with my channel. Your support means a lot to me."
Totally different bikes dude! I have an '85 Kawi 900 Eliminator I bought brand new in my ast year of high school. Never got rid of it, partly because the girl who bought my mint '80 RD400 crashed it and her brother flipped it doing wheelies. It's a unique bike, traveled 3 times on long tours on it to Laconia and North Carolina. However, I bought an '02 Harley Superglide, which handles just about the same in the twisties as the Kawi due to the rake, weight and mid controls. Neither is a superbike, but fun! I have shorter T bars on it and sit just about the same as the Kawi. Have been in 46 US states and 7 provinces on it with 175000kms (115000 miles or so). I love both, and each have their place in my heart!
Had a 1000 Katana back in the day. Fantastic bike 😎😎😎😎

Yes, that’s right! Because I couldn’t find the original video, I decided to use a custom version.
Robot voice with no time stamps. I'm out

Bye...

“Thank you for the addition, I think I will make more videos about these motorcycle models.”
I agree but 500's aren't superbikes.
I had a Kawasaki GPZ900R Ninja that I'm still kicking myself in the ass for selling!
Can't you sell it?
Me too!

I can't believe you left out the Honda-750 Interceptor.
Consult me, the next time you do a video.
“It seems I’ve missed out on many great motorcycles, thank you for your suggestion. I think I’ll make a second video on this topic.”
Prob cuz they were junk
The katana showed here was a resto mod, as was the gpz turbo.
The original gpz turbo wasn't intercooled.
I had both the katana and the goz turbo.
Wow, it’s truly wonderful that you own two motorbikes!

The good old days ,

Most weren't available to the public or available in the USA

I pretty well versed in motorcycles but I've never hear of the Ka-jive-a brand..? 😅
🏍👍👍👍
hi men
Even tho the AI sucked everyone of those bikes left Harley in the dust!
^^

CB1100F, Z1000

Loved those 1100F's. One of my top ten favorites! The first year 750 GSXR's I also love!
✌🏻😊

AI video. Thumbs down

Indeed, I had to hit mute, couldn't stand it.
That 750 turbo is so far from stock, it's ridiculous ! 👎
Once again a promising video ruined, IMO, by the terrible AI voiceover
I apologize for this, I am looking for people with good reading voices to create videos with authentic human voices for the upcoming videos.
That would be good @@RianMobili, AI is just so grating
@@RianMobili Its a great feature, I started riding in that era, and you covered it well.
