I was the final round opponent this time, was 6-0 going into this match. With the Balloon man play I didn't have anything else I could play on 3 so went for it. Also the Split Up play was a total mistake. Of course meant to be destroy untapped! As you say though I think I might still have lost.
Winning, losing... sometimes that's just variance. What is not variance (but a true blessing) is watching you play MTG, Luis: you're such an amazing inspiration (and this deck was GREAT); keep up the fantastic work. ❤
The UR deck is so good. Went 1-6 drafting RG 2 times. Then drafted UR with enduring curiosity, 2 smoky lounge, the draw card end step UR rare room. Now I can experience winning again.
Fascinating video from a draft perspective. 3 solid white cards to start, had a choice to solidify white on pick 5, instead went speculative UR and super paid off.
In the spirit of the QoL move of the face cam, I've found clicking on the TVs under the oppo's avatar turns them off if you find them annoying. Great vid as usual and I will continue to watch and enjoy.
Man, i never would have read the signals to pivot into R/U there. I would have waffled in Boros until like halfway through Pack 2 and would've had a terrible deck in this seat lol
That deck was so sweet, and well piloted too, as you would expect. Thanks for the content Luis, I haven't commented but watch most days. I do miss the stream, as I'm sure you do too sometimes, but I imagine it has its upsides!
@@denissinner4625 yeah, wild, I just heard on the LR set review today they gave it a C! Had to check 17lands, it’s currently the 20th most winning card by games in hand win rate
UW tempo has a lot of enchantment based synergies, I went 3-1 and lost out to Boros aggro at my prerelease but even then might’ve been able to clinch my final game if I didn’t luck out and have to mulligan to 5 in the last round! Acrobatic cheerleader would also end up being easily enabled and turn into a pesky 2 drop flyer
Is it just me who thinks (for vintage cube specifically) Unwanted Remake is on par with Path to Exile? I mean, I’d usually say the land your opponent gets from Path is better than a random 2/2 most of the time, and the only reason Remake isn’t strictly better is “destroy” is a lot worse than “exile”
this set is the worst experience ive ever had drafting. granted ive only been drafting since m15, but i just dont understand this set. i draft often and win often, but arena has completely bled me dry of literally all my gold and gems by land starving, flooding, and giving me hands with all of one colour spells and opposite colour lands. its been every game. i dont understand what i did to wizards, but ive been keeping track and ive got 12 games in a row of this every game going 0-3 in bo3. im at my wits end with this game.

GGs, unfortunate about the misclick 😅
That's rough. Hopefully you still managed to get your seventh win afterwards!

This is unshakeable evidence that rooms are better than caves.

And now I'll have that Avatar song stuck in my head for a week.
It never goes away for long 😂
The smokey lounge rooms deck makes me feel like im playing edh, mana accelerator enchantments that lets me play even more ramp enchantments
Is Rooms the new Frogs that LSV will draft every other draft? Not sure yet which I prefer tho, both have cool aspects.
I hope so! For once red-blue isnt dogwater compared to abzan in draft lol
I think you mean squirrels 😅

The combo of smoky lounges and meat lockers is so strong.

the song references taken to another level this draft...secret tunnel !!

Numot was also on the fence about how good Toby is. I’m here to suggest it may be better than it looks 🤔
Yes it's basically a Lovestruck Beast. Taking Grand Entryway above it was criminal.

This is becoming a theme with LSV. Now you have to throw in your picture with a cigar in a smokey room 😂
Through the mountains!
Nothing like a clean sweep! Great draft as always :). I thought rooms looked a little weak based on spoilers but I've been proven wrong.
I guess that is why cards like smoky lounge are called signpost uncommons huh. What a nice pivot into an insane open deck

baseball bat is literally p1p1 territory. that's crazy one came so late.
He moves his webcam window at 41:40 😊
I… I wanna be in the room where it happens, the room where it happens.
How do you always get the hallcreeper? I think you might have a secret admirer. Keep an eye out the next time you're walking through a hall 😅
I keep wanting to rewatch Mulholland Dr. after playing a bit with this set. Must be the Smoky Lounges are reminding me of Laura Palmer…
Oof, that last opponent 4-for-1ing themselves, hate to see it
Is there a reason for why the first match after the draft is a mirror match so often? Seems weird.
Thanks for moving the camera

I dislike any card type that requires me to flip the card in any direction to read it.
