Is it really this easy? Do you find some of the a and b marriages don’t work? How is the consistency?
Hi! There is a learning curve to it. You do need a really good press! We recommend a swing away because not only is heat important, but pressure plays an important role, as well!.
hi there, very informative video. what is the size of your heat press machine? and what size of paper did you use? and also is there any other brand of printer i can buy because i am from Dubai and here we don't have OKI so if you could help with these questions would be really appreciated.
Hello! We used a 16"x20" Hotronix Fusion. We also used 11"x17" Forever Laser Dark. For the printer, a white toner printer provides the best results when working with this paper, we would recommend to try to stick with that offering.
What do you think is better this or DTF?
will forever paper work in my icolor 560????? how does forever do with polyester shirts????
Good Morning: The Forever paper works well with Poly as well as other blends. It should come with a information sheet detailing the different times and temps for each fabric. As far as the Icolor machines, it should work, however we have not tested the paper with that particular machine. We do recommend starting with a sample pack to make sure you are getting the desired results. Thanks!
Can I get my designs from google images png ?
For the past 3 months i want to print mugs on my oki c610 what paper i must use please reply
Hello! A hard surface paper will do the trick! You can use Magic Touch CPM: www.coastalbusiness.com/magic-touch-cpm-6-2-hard-surface-laser-transfer-paper-cpm-g.html
Which model of the oki printer are you using
Hello! In this video, the OKI 8432WT.
What kind of paper is that. I need a big size for bigger images
Eli, this is our Forever Laser Dark. We do offer a few different sizes, found here: www.coastalbusiness.com/forever-laser-dark-no-cut-self-weeding-laser-heat-transfer-paper-ldaffb-g.html
Can I print using a Brother 7360n printer if I an only using one color like grey or white for inside back t shirt tags? I am have some trouble with that but not sure if I am doing it wrong or need to replace the drum.
Did you mirror the image before you printed it?
Hi there, yes we did.
Could you please define light pressure on the Fusion IQ? Everyone says 2-3 bar etc. but the Fusion has 0-9 settings and I cannot find out how those settings relate to pressure.
That didn’t seem like light pressure she was struggling to pull it down ….
What kind of printer is that
Hi! That is a Oki White Toner Laser printer. Thanks!
Please tell me what equipment and sheets you are using. Like printer ect
Hello! Printer is the OKI Data PRO8432WT, Paper is Forever Laser Dark: and we are also using Silicone sheets. For the press we are using a Hotronix Fusion.
Clearly demonstrated with short video! Just wondering if any laser printer does this job?
@Ezekiel Anderson yup, I've been using flixzone for years myself :)
@Ezekiel Anderson definitely, I have been watching on flixzone for since november myself =)
@Ezekiel Anderson Definitely, been using Flixzone for years myself :)
@Ezekiel Anderson Definitely, I've been using Flixzone for since december myself :)
@Ezekiel Anderson Yea, been watching on Flixzone for years myself =)
please tell me what is the 2 paper name
Hello! Forever Laser Dark.
Can be print on OKI C712dn?
Thanks for the information.
In india we use Sublimation heat transfer.
But it's complicated when it's dark t-shirts.
I like this type of t-shirt printing.
But white toner laser printer are very expensive..
Is there any cheaper option for white toner leaser printer..?
Love from india (Mumbai) !!!
Hello! We do carry an OKI Data C711WT printer: www.coastalbusiness.com/oki-c711wt-white-toner-printer.html . We stock media for this printer that is 8.5"x11" and 8.5"x17". Thank you!
Check out Ghost White!
Can use my inkjet printer with paper peel method
what oki printer is that in the video.
And what other cheaper laser printer is there in the epson brand or hp that allow Sublimation printing
Hello! The printer in the video is the OKI PRO8432WT. At this time there is not a laser Sublimation system.
Looks easy
Does the printer CMYK + White or CMY + White?
You sure about that light pressure?
Hello! Yes, we do recommend a 3-4 bar pressure for this process. . Thank you!
Can I print with my Brother HL-3170CDW printer?
Hi Tracy, for best results, we recommend an OKI white toner laser printer like featured in this video. The printer we used is the OKI Pro8432WT, but it will work with any OKI white toner printer.
FOREVER Laser-Dark will also work with other CMYK laser printers like your Brother HL-3170CDW. However, you will only be able to print images with full-tone colors (like vectors). Photos and images with lighter/pastel colors won't work unless you have a printer with white toner.
How can I get it? I'm from Ecuador
Hi Nelli, you can order directly from our website. We would ship via international Economy, or Priority.
Does "forever" really mean that the art is sublimated or only glued?
Does the print feel "natural" or is becomes a second layer to the fabric?
Hello! Forever Laser Dark is a heat transfer that applies to the surface of the garment. The transfer/toner is a temporary bond.
Has anybody used the forever dark on a icolor 550 printer and how were results
I have , it does the job still
Im having an issue pealing. Its leaving little spots were all the toner didn't transfer i'm using an swing away press medium pressure at 300 degrees for 90 seconds and pealing slowly while hot and leaving flat om the pad. Tried around 15 sheets same issue.
I am sorry you are having issues, which printer do you have?
@@CoastalBusinessSup oki c711wt
We generally recommend you peel quickly in a fast fluid motion. If that doesn't work - call our tech department for troubleshooting 800-562-7760 Option 3
Would a dark laser paper work in a hp color LaserJet pro ?
Emmanuel, we would suggest the Laser One Opaque transfer paper. We would highly recommend purchasing a sample pack to ensure it will work with your model printer.
What type of printer is the one your using?
Emmanuel, we are working with the PRO 8432WT.
Why can’t you use Teflon seeing how ever other video says use Teflon
Great question. With heat transfer paper, inkjet and laser both, we highly recommend silicone sheets for your bottom platen, top platen, and your repress. Teflon traps heat inside the material, when marrying your transfer paper and separating, and/or peeling your transfer off your garment, the teflon is actually damaging the process, instead of assisting with the process. A few examples would be, toner sticking to your B sheet - when using a two-step process, toner "chipping" off from your A sheet because of bonding, and toner not releasing from the transfer sheet to your garment properly.
too many steps, yikes
Is the B-paper necessary and why need it or you can just use A-paper to transfer designs to shirt?
Chanda, yes, the B sheet is necessary. The B sheet has the adhesion to properly bond the toner to the white toner and garment, so you will marry the A and the B together first to apply the B sheet to the white toner, and then you will transfer to the garment.
@@CoastalBusinessSup OK thank you very much!
What's the exact name of this printer?
Thanks for checking in with us. Here is the link to the printer: ua-cam.com/video/KNTpf4JSmoQ/v-deo.html&lc=Ugy1a1UjFg2VGeZLx-R4AaABAg
Do I need Forever TransferRIP software to knock-off background or I can just use Photoshop or Ai?
Hi! You can use photoshop to eliminate your background. The rip software is more for controlling the density of the toner you are putting down. Thanks!
@@CoastalBusinessSup Thanks for clearing that up!
Thank you!
What about durability
Hello! When following proper washing/drying instructions, when Coastal has tested, we received 35 washes before seeing the image start to deteriorate.
Thank you for the info. Since this white toner printer is out of range for most people, is there a place that can print for me like 5 prints with a white toner printer? just for personal use.
Hello! Yes, please call into our Technical Support department and we can direct you. Technical Support can be reached at 1-800-562-7760, option 3. Thank you!
Its laser pronter?
Hello! Yes, you will use the Forever Laser Dark with a laser printer.
Nice so is that plastisol sheet process
Hello! The Laser/Forever Laser Dark process is a different process, than the Plastisol process. Also, a much better hand on the shirt!
I always find difficulty in pulling it from fabrics!
HI! You must let the transfer cool completely and then roll it down from a corner applying pressure as you go. Thanks!
@@CoastalBusinessSup Thank you
You're welcome!
What heat press do you recommend
Hello! We test with the Hotronix Fusion IQ, and the Insta 256 quite often. Most commercial heat presses will be able to complete the transfers.
Hi.
Could you please give after wash review.
Hello! Wash count will depend on if you rasterize the design. Usually 20-25 if you have a standard image, that has not been rasterized. If you have rasterized the design between 35 and 40 washes.
@@CoastalBusinessSup you have video for that please.
Hello! We do not.
What model of printer did you use?
Hi Kenny, this is the OKI Pro8432WT white toner laser transfer printer. Here's a link to it on our site: www.coastalbusiness.com/oki-pro8432-laser-color-printer-46396652.html
Cheers!
Thank you for this it helped me print my first one
Thank you for your comment! We are glad we could help!
Can i print with my sawgrass 400 sublimation printer?
Hi there! Thanks for checking in. The SG400 is a sublimation printer using sublimation ink. for polyester. The Forever Laser Dark is intended for a Laser printer.
@@CoastalBusinessSup Can I print with my Brother HL-3170CDW printer?
Hi! We having Massive problems printing portraits using our oki and Fusion IQ printer. During the sheet to sheet transfer there is always specks and spots that the glue paper doesn’t pick up. We’ve tried pressing at 300 and 315 degrees and we are having the same problem. Can you help?
Hello! Have you checked your toner and drum levels? For best coverage they need to be at 20%, or more. What is the humidity in your room? How many seconds are you pressing at? pressure? Thank you!
Coastal Business Supplies thanks for your reply! We were pressing at 3-4 bar pressure at 90 seconds. After watching your video we moved to 120 seconds but still see smaller speck of the image being left behind. We notice that the areas are consistent with each print and tend to be darker areas(hair, shadows on darker skin. Etc)
Hello! Which model OKI printer are you using? Are you using any teflon on your press? When peeling the paper, after pressing, do you peel right away? Do you leave the A & B sheet on the bottom platen when peeling?
Are you printing using toner or ink?
Hi there, thanks for checking in. It is a laser printer that uses toner.
I dont understand the 2 type of paper part
Hi!
The first sheet (A sheet) is a film that you print on and the second sheet (B sheet). The B sheet is the opaque sheet and when married to the A sheet, it will adhere only to the toner making it a self weeding paper.
This paper works best with white toner printers.
Thanks!
@@CoastalBusinessSup you mention there is 2 types of this style. Inkjet and lazer, are they both the same? Inkjet seem alot eaaier as it only needs 1 paper and normal printer. Or can laser printer do both types
Inkjet is printing directly onto a opaque sheet and then trimming around the image to avoid that white border
@@CoastalBusinessSup my understanding is inkjet print on 1 sheet and need to be cut by hand and laser dont need to be cut but require 2 sheet. So which one you think is better or more worth it and which is more durable? Also i think laser can be more creative as you can add shiny foils.
The papers are both pretty durable. It really comes down to personal preference. Some people prefer the self weeding option of laser papers so they do not have to cut around it. And some choose the inkjet because it can be less expensive and they don't mind cutting
What’s the matted side?
Hello! With the Forever Laser Dark, A sheet, you will notice a gloss side, and a matte side that has a film on it. You will print onto the matte (film) side. Thank you!
Does this work with hoodies?
Great question! Yes, you can use Forever Laser Dark on a hoodie too!
I'm confused as to why this doesn't burn your hands 😂. It's sooooo hot
Hi Jon! If we have a few transfers to do back to back, our fingertips are definitely feeling it! :)
@@CoastalBusinessSup you don't flinch 😂 I need gloves
:)
Can this be pressed onto leather and stay? The forever website lists leather as one of the compatible materials. Thanks!
Hi Jessica, we have had a few of our customer's press to leather with success! We do offer a sample pack of the Forever Laser Light/Dark paper, if you wanted to give it a try.
Coastal Business Supplies thank you! one more question, does this weedless transfer paper leave a hard film on the material? Some heat transfers leave a thick papery feeling, I am looking for something that will just look like it’s melted into the material.
Jessica, we have found that the self weeding papers we offer leave a soft hand when applied to other substrates, such as leather. Thanks!
Coastal Business Supplies thank you! Can this be applied using a small craft iron once the adhesive sheet is applied? or have you heard of customer success with this method?
We have not heard of customer success with a hand iron, nor have we tried this method with this process. With laser heat transfer paper, usually a heat press is best.
Any cheaper alternatives to this laser printer please?
I have been researching printers for a couple of mths. And from what I understand, you can use any color laser printer to make these transfers, it just will not print white.. the only reason for a OKI printer is to be able to print white.. and the reason for a laser printer is because it uses toner, and it is a thicker ink and will be able to print on this forever paper... I tried a wf 7720,( pingmet ink) and a standard HP printer it will not go on the paper with out smudging!! I bout a brother laser printer from Walmart it printed on the paper, but it was only a black toner printer. I took the printer back . No kidding, I just hooked up a color laser printer about 15 min ago and fixing to go do some test using forever dark transfer paper. Came to this video to get some pointers..
@@tabithapatterson131 thanks for the explanation, it was actually very informative 🤘
May I use any other laser printer?
You can use other laser printers with FOREVER Laser Dark; however, for best results, we recommend printers with white toner.
where to buy it..

How long does the shirt hold up for?Does it fade in the wash?
Good question! We recently tested and here are our findings. We could wash a shirt 30 times and hang to dry before cracking. We also tried washing and using the dryer and we got 30 washes before the shirt started to crack. Hope that helps!
@@CoastalBusinessSup i use same printer,same settings,after 1 wash i see cracks,any ideas? i use only white color for text
can I use sublimation ink? and do I have to mirror the image?
Hey there, unfortunately sublimation ink and ink in general is not compatible with FOREVER Laser Dark. This heat transfer paper requires a laser printer with toner to work. Specifically, it works best with the OKI white toner printers but will also work with many regular CMYK laser printers.
You do have to mirror your image for this.
Where is the link to purchase the paper?
@@ambermeadows9927 Hey there, you can purchase it here: www.coastalbusiness.com/forever-laser-dark-no-cut-self-weeding-laser-heat-transfer-paper-ldaffb-g.html
Where did you get images from
Hello! Occasionally our vendors, but, we tend to use FREEPIK.COM (www.freepik.com/home), a lot as well! :)
Hai what about durability
Where can i find the matte finish economy paper?
Hello! Are you speaking of the silicone sheet that you repress with? This leaves a matte finish to the transfer. Or, are you speaking of a heat transfer paper?
Coastal Business Supplies the silicon sheet please. Is there some type of substitute?
Hello! You can also use parchment paper if need be. Thank you!
Coastal Business Supplies Thank you
What printer is needed for this paper?
Hello! We recommend a White toner system. At Coastal, we work with the OKI Data C711WT, PRO920WT, and the PRO8432WT
Coastal, thank you!
@dmilo27 Hi there, for FOREVER Laser Dark, it works best with a white toner printer, which includes but is not limited to OKI printers. While it will work with most laser printers, you won't be able to achieve the same colors on dark garments using traditional CMYK. You are limited to bold, full-tone colors for lighter garments.
YOU CAN TALK A LITTLE SLOWER AND EXPLANE A LETTLE MOR
can a OKIc332dn work as well with this transfer paper
Great Question. With the Forever Laser Dark, it is best to use a printer that has a white toner, vs. CMYK. We have not tested with this particular model, however, We do offer a sample pack here if you would like to try this paper out: www.coastalbusiness.com/forever-laser-heat-transfer-paper-for-white-toner-printers-sample-pack-8-5-x-11-8-sheets-pack-forwtsamp-s.html .
