Yeah. Germany for some reason does not like to operate warships of "Destroyer" designation anymore, I can't confirm if the old wives tale of "it sounds too aggressive" is true or not. However, to make up for this, we simply build the largest "Frigates" going to sea... The "Hessen" is actually an older model of the "Sachen"-Class, with 5800 tons displacement. The successor "Baden-Würtemberg"-Class is 7100 tons displacement. For comparison, an Arleigh-Burke class destroyer is only about 1500-2000 tons heavier...

@@smyzeqari4897 No one is paying for anything, it's a common populist trope told by US politicians to their retarded voters. They claim that somehow the US is paying for Germany's (and other European NATO countries') defence because they themselves have a ridiculously high military spending while most European countries don't. What they forget to mention is that the US spends most of it's defence spending on their neocolonial network of 700 military bases around the world, and that the US needs to be in a constant state of war and have massive defence spending or else their country would collapse. The US defence industry is extremely interwoven with lobby groups and their politicians, called the "military industrial complex". What those US people also seem to forget is that while European NATO countries spend billions of Euro's each year purchasing US-made military hardware, meanwhile the US spends pretty much zero purchasing European-made military hardware. And let us not forget that in the countless US wars of agression and imperialism since the end of WWII, us European countries have spent many tens of billions of Euro's coming to the aid of the US in those wars on top of losing thousands of our soldiers to those wars as well. Meanwhile the US has not come to the aid of a single European NATO country even once.
in 1:03:40 there is sailor wearing black coverall with marking "Marine nationale" so there is France sailor on board German warship or what? ( sorry for my english, iam from Indonesia)
your English is perfect! It's quite normal for allied or NATO members to have one or a few members from other countries onboard. Building relationships between countries military, learning from each other, etc. (similar to an exchange students), the Norwegian Navy had an officer of the US Navy onboard a Norwegian frigate, on it il fated day (sinking of "HNoMS Helge Ingstad"), while Norway had at the same time officer onboard US ships. French was there probably to build a relationship and learn how the German Navy works, so both navies can work better together. Norway and other countries sends their ships and crew to UK for safety "exams", and sometimes sendt them to USA for weapon certification. It is all part of working together and understanding each other

Proper responses on the time of need is be prepared beforehand that the other ways is also need to apply when the situation is happen at any expectations. So be ready at all times when you're on the battle's zone.. But sometimes.. We are caught on the time are not prepared. When we are on the out of the blue's situation..
15:10, a lot of stuff is out of scale and not shown correctly. This is what is called a sabotage display as the real display is highly classified

I passed the German Bundeswehr navy test and will become in many years either NCO Electrician or Navigator. What should I choose between of them?
Nothing beats a bit of aggressive knocking.

YEAH , IT'S SUCH A PLEASURE TO SEE EUROPE UNITED. ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION.
Love the banging on the desk as gunfire stand in. Reminds me of when we played pretend as kids.
I didn't know the Krauts had a ship like this....nice
Germany has the 3rd largest nato navy in europe rn, 11x frigates, 5x corvettes and 6x submarines. And its expanding, by 2030 it’ll consist of 4x light frigates, 6x brand new ASW frigates (F126), 6x brand new air defense destroyers (F127), 10x corvettes (K130 T1 and 2), 6x brand new amphibious support ships (NTV130) and 9x brand new submarines (Type 212CD).
@@dopepopeurban6129 Please stop. Only a tiny fraction of all that hardware is actually operational and the german navy couldn't even defend the german coastline. The german army in general is not a modern military and those who enlist there are not exactly the best and the brightest and it shows.
The first and only frigate who makes "knock knock tut tut" sounds at firing :D
Well done lad great video make them Abit longer but in fairness to u top class subscribe to this man's channel
Perfect from perfect perfect perfect perfect
Happy to see Germany talking its rightful place.
Together with our allies. We are teamplayers.
@@gluteusmaximus1657 awesome teamplayers, one of the best there is. Great respect for Deutschland !!!
Perhaps it could pay into NATO like it’s supposed to too then, rather then rely on other countries to pay for it, who will stop doing so one day..
@@marksapollo who is paying for Germany !?? And what are they paying for ???
26:34 yeah man I feel ya! Thank you
Awesome content
in 1:03:40 there is sailor wearing black coverall with marking "Marine nationale" so there is France sailor on board German warship or what?
It is all part of working together and understanding each other
@@heuhen thank you sir ,for your explanation
I also noticed at least one person in US Navy uniform. Since _Hessen_ was operating with US ships, a liaison officer is understandable.
Good to learn for national defense and survival.
I liked the message from FOST staff (1:08:00) 09Nov17 :) ~ They always sink you in the end. That's a damage control board, it would have been covered in flood & fires lol
awesome.., 👀👍👍👍👍😘😘😇
