I know sometimes they seem like they don't fit, they can be really hard to get back on some times. try a bit of lube on the duct and on the carb, if that doesn't work maybe try to heat up the rubber with a hair drier or heat gun (not to much though) then try. I find if you put it on the carb first and tighten the clamp then put on on the filter sometimes works best. I hope this helps good luck.
Man my tea air intake boot that little rubber guy that goes around the carb and into the filter housing that thing does not sit on my housing at all
