Thanks this was very helpful. If only you would have shown how to remove the buddy seat too. But I'll figure that out now I know how to get the seat of. Mine is from '94, maroon red
I find your vids super helpful! I also have an 85 Intruder 750. My signal lights just stopped working - they don’t blink they’re just solid amber. I replaced the flasher and relay switch, still no luck. Any thoughts?
I first thought would be to check for a short or a ground issue. this means many hrs. of chasing wires :( the other possibility is that some of these bike have 2 relays (one per side) but I don't believe that to be the case with this bike. good luck I hope this helps.
Sadly I don't have it anymore, it was too small for me so I had to trade it in but it was fun restoring it. I may get another one to restore some time, i like to bring old cars and bike back to life and give them a new shot at life.
Hey man I really need some help with a lot of things on my 94 gs800vl. So the throttle cable how to u get it off of the housing on the bar ? Also need help replacing my speedometer the little ticker dosent go up
Too get the throttle cable off you have to split the casing on the handle bars, there are 2 screws on the bottom of the casing. As for the speedo it could be a broken cable. to remove that it just unscrews with a thumb screw on both ends, the one at the speedo might be tricky because it is tucked up in the speedo case. I hope this helps. I should have a video on how to do both but if not I will try to get one up soon.
In Canada and US. I believe 1986 to 1991 750 were compatible then 1994 up to 2005 the 800cc were compatible. I'm not 100% sure but from what I can find in my research that's what I gathered. hope this was helpful.
@@greendoorgarage thank u good sir u are very knowledgeable im trying to learn all about my bike and I refuse to take it to a shop something so rewarding about fixing things yourself as a young 20 year old
